[Riff was just exploring the library, trying to see what it had to offer. There was so much information here that wasn't available to him back home...it was exciting.

That said, Riff had an unfortunate(?) habit of getting incredibly wrapped up in a book he was reading when he knew his services wouldn't be called on any time soon.

Contrary to his usual form, this left him slightly inattentive to where he was going or others ho might be just around a corner as he went to go find somewhere to sit and read...]

[Denzel was trying, at least trying to be more careful after the day before having been stuck to a slacker. Very few people go in the library, right? Right? Being more paranoid then usual, Crocker is walking in circles. Which, here means, was making circles as he moves forwards from time to time and walking sideways inbetween that. ]

Yay, I made it all the way here without having had - [Opps]

[He really should have been paying attention. If he had, he might not have bumped into the man pacing in circles...mainly because he would have noticed him. Instead, his arm clipped the other man's....and stayed there.]

Oh! My apologies, I did not notice you there!

[He frowned as he tried to pull away and couldn't. Why was he stuck?]

[Crocker had that pit feeling in the bottom of his stomach as soon as he heard, My apologies, I did not notice you there.] How the heck did I not see you?

[With the tug at the arm Denzel screams in frusation] NO! Not again! [Gnawing at this shirt collar for a moment or two before groaning] What do I have to do? Lock myself in my house? [Mumbing to himself] Mmmmmmm, that actually doesn't sound like a bad idea. Expect, there isn't very much to do....

[Before stating] Hello, I'm Denzel Crocker and you and I are stuck together for a few hours to a whole day.

[Riff blinked at him a moment before it clicked that this must be another one of those curses. Oh.]

Is that what this is? I am even more sorry for running into you, then, Mr. Crocker, I did not mean to inconvenience you. I merely meant to find a place to read my book.

I hope it is for a shorter time than a day...that could be quite uncomfortable. Oh, I do not mean to be rude, I am Riff Raffit.

Yes it's a - CURSE! [Slighly jerking his body]

I suppose I can't hate you for that reason. No, I can't. Actually, I came here to hide with some books and read this curse out..... That is unless inanimate objects start counting in which case I'd be doomed to read the same book over and book. [He begins to gnaw his shirt collar. There's a pause.]

Hello. [Blink blink] Awkward silence. Now, what do you want to do?

[He looks around as though the answer would be in the bookshelves.]

Well, seeing as we both intended to read and, potentially, avoid others, I do not see why we could not continue this. Merely we would be antisocial...together.

There are, of course, other options, should that not sound appealing.

[Denzel nods in agreement with a slight frown.]

Maybe this won't be so bad. [Though he wasn't going to get too optimistic]

Awkward silence. I was going to head off to the magic section..

[Riff tilts his head in curiosity.]

You have an interest in the occult?

I would not have guessed. But, please, do not let me hinder your plans.

YES! Something I've studied all of my life.

[Beat] Why wouldn't you have guessed that? [Maybe the way he dresses in a white shirt, black tie and black pants he comes off more as a scientist?]

Um...it is not something commonly researched was all I meant. [No, it was definitely the way you dress, he's just too polite to say so.]

Yes, I'm well aware of that? [Denzel was rather surprised.] Mmmm [He mumbles] Considering all of the other universes I thought perhaps... Maybe I was being too optimist.[Before his voice volume returning to normal] What was it you were going to read?

[He held up a book....on cars.] Merely this. I come from 19th century England, on Earth...I am afraid much of what others here take as common place I find I know nothing about. I was hoping to learn something of the technology to come.

[It wasn't like it would matter when he went back, anyway. Dying sort of subverted new information.]

19th century England?! [There's a beat. As he mumbles to himself] Well, I shouldn't after all considering I figured this place to be a nexuses of sorts. Yes. After all, some people aren't even from England let alone - EARTH! [Ending with a slight twitch and laughing like a crazy manic who has some loose screws] Makes perfert sense. [Before his laughing slowly dying down and being replaced with a groan]

[Beat] Inquisitive mind I like that. Yes.

[Another beat] Shall be on our way to the magic books?
