[ It was dark in this place. Very dark, she noted as she looked around, blue eyes wide; but despite the darkness of the place she now found herself in, she was able to tell that this wasn't the place she was in before.

But then ... if this wasn't the realms of darkness, where was it? Or perhaps, this place was another part of the realms that she hadn't seen yet. It was possible. After all, it was quite a large place.

This place felt different, though. Before, when she was wandering around in the dark, she had been so sure of where she was, and knew exactly how she had gotten there. This place didn't have the same feel, and she hadn't seen any unversed at all.

Aqua brought her hand closer to her face and studied it. Her sleeve ... her sleeve was wet. Drops of water dropped off of her hand, onto the ground below her. She was wet. Soaking wet.

She was also freezing cold.

She hugged herself, trying to ignore how she shivered as she took a look at her surroundings once more. Okay ... standing around wouldn't do her much good. She knew that from experience. She had to find out what was going on here. ]

[Riku had been taking double shifts ever since the murder earlier on in the week. There was an uneasiness amongst them since then, and with this happening during the time so many newcomers appeared each month, he couldn't help but want to make sure nothing really happened to them on their first day. It got to the point where he started carrying a towel with him at all times, too...

That's when he sensed it- a strong, somewhat... familiar light. This signature... could it be someone from back home?

He didn't stop to think about it, only moving to race and see for himself. Luckily he doesn't truly need much light to see in the first place, because soon he sees the outline of someone he... met once back home, spoke with a few times here as well. But would she remember?

Riku pauses in reflect, shaking his head. It didn't matter. Either way, it was still rather cool to be soaked to the bone.]

... Aqua-?

[ was that a voice? ordinarily she would think she was going crazy. there had been only one other person she'd met in her time in the realms of darkness, and his voice was nothing like what she had just heard.

under ordinary circumstances, Aqua would have thought that she was finally going insane. the circumstances here were far from ordinary, though. so, she looked around for the source of the voice, eyes settling on the source rather quickly; after all, there weren't many people around. there weren't many people it could have been.

at first, she was confused. this young man ... how did he know her name? there was something familiar about him, but it took her some time to place what that familiarity was.

slowly, though, it dawned on her. he looked similar ... to that boy she met, all that time ago, and his friend. the boy who reminded her so much of Terra ...

... it wasn't exactly a long shot. though she was surprised at how old the young man looked to be now, she honestly had no idea how much time had passed during her time in the realms of darkness.

it was worth a guess. ]

... Riku?

[ she was sure that it was his name. she hadn't forgotten Sora's name, either. ]

[Yes, it most certainly was a voice. One that had aged, matured maybe a little more than it should have since they'd last seen each other back home, in his home world - in their worlds. Yet it was a sign, a clear one other than all the hearts surrounding them.

He kept walking closer as he was roughly six feet from one another, stopping just short of a normal Keyblade's reach. Even after all this tme, he still hasn't ceased in his old habits of being particularly guarded. Though this Master... he owed her, even if she doesn't recall. That's what he's telling himself, looking into blue eyes that were so similar to Kairi, someone who had a similar aura about her that he only just now realized. What did this mean-?

Riku would think on it later, instead sparing her a small nod. It was a relief, really- that she at least remembered his name. Probably showed on his face, too.]

Yeah, it's me.

[Probably a shock, depending on how long it'd been for her and how much she remembers. But, how do you ask that?]

[ he was older. much older. he most certainly wasn't the five year old he used to be anymore, and it was plain to see. still ... somehow, she knew it must have been that boy. he had been so similar to Terra all that time ago, and even now, he still was. she could see it.

as he came closer, she stayed where she was. she looked at the young man before her, her eyes moving upward to meet with his own.

... and she smiled.

yes, it was a shock to see this boy, who had been so young when she had last seen him, all grown up and actually standing before her. but at the same time, it was also a relief. she was relieved to see him, and how he had grown. she was relieved to see that he had grown up to be so strong.

Terra was strong, too. Despite everything, she still maintained the idea that he was, indeed, very strong. ]

You've grown ...

[ it was said with a small laugh, one that had quite the plethora of feelings mixed in with it. relief ... happiness ... shock ... pride. yes, that was it ... she couldn't deny the pride that had been swelling in her heart as she saw him again. she had known when she saw them that Riku was going to do great things ... both him and Sora, both. She had heard of Sora's endeavors, too. ]

♥ ... ; ; Aquaaaaaaaaa.........

[He might have been older, a lot wiser for whatever he's gone through, yet there were still things that he wishes he could take back. At times, anyway. Facing such a familiar face, one that smiled at him even though she has no idea what trouble he's caused...

It was hard to not break eye contact. Really, really hard. He'd been lying to himself and others for so long, had been so close to losing himself, losing everything for well over a year that to see a genuine smile like that was almost like a knife. to his heart. Yet he didn't mind, because he'd faced her before, right?

There's the faint hint of a smirk - perhaps a far too familiar smirk for Aqua - before he shakes his head. Really, after what happened, the first thing she can say after seeing him is "you've grown"? How ridiculous can someone get?]

I guess. It's been a while, huh.

[That laugh, though... he could sense the pride too well. It was the same that Mickey had for him. Something that, even with the steps he's taken from the darkness- from his darkness - he couldn't quite accept any amount of it. He doesn't deserve it. Not from someone who'd kind of predicted that he would end up losing his way, going down a dark path alone...

But how had she known that would happen?]

_{[You won't have to look for too long, Aqua. Here is Morte, who glances at the new arrival smirking a little. She knew the girl just got here, since she was soaking wet.]}

Welcome to Vatheon. Hope you'll like this place, 'cause you're gonna stay here for a while.

_{[Morte really hated the fact that they are stuck here and it was showing in her voice, even despite the fact that she was smiling while saying that.]}

[ all of her confusion, Morte. you can have it. she looks around, quickly locating the source of the voice and offering a weary, uncertain smile. ]

I ... um, thank you. [ Vatheon. That was the name of this place. It confirmed her suspicions of being in a new world, at least.

But how did she get here? What force brought her to this place? It must have been powerful, to take her from where she had been prior to this.

She was quiet for some time, collecting her thoughts and figuring out how to ask about what she wanted to know. Finally, she spoke again. ]

Would you happen to know how I got here ...?

No idea. I've heard the coral's responsible for bringing us here. Apparently it's indestructible- _{[guess who already tried to destroy it.]} -so I've no idea if getting rid of it would help us get outta here.

_{[she puts her hands on her hips. she doesn't look happy at all.]}

In other words, we're stuck here and can't do anything about that for now.

[ the coral is responsible? she'd find that strange if not for the fact that she's undoubtedly heard (and seen) stranger things. ]

... I see.

[ she thinks. well ... all things considered, it wasn't bad. it wasn't where she wanted to go, but it wasn't any worse than where she had been.

... and there were people here. perhaps, in time, they could work together to find a way back to their respective worlds. and she ... then she could find Terra, and make sure the both of them would be there for Ven. ]

[Mickey had also been taking shifts, and lately didn't know what to expect of this place. His fingers kept flicking back and forth, ready to summon his Keyblade at any moment. Soon, he sees her shadow, and immediately summons it, already paranoid. He foolishly runs headfirst towards the problem -

And barely manages to skid to a halt in time. Despite all the impossibilities being shown to him in Vatheon already, seeing her still comes as a great shock. Cue wide eyes, jaw dropped, and a stutter of her name.]

... M-master Aqua?

[ That was most definitely a familiar voice. Not as familiar as some of the other voices she could have heard, but familiar nonetheless. She turned, as quickly as she could (and quickly realized what a bad idea that was with the sudden dizziness that occured), and quickly spotted him. ]

... Mickey!

[ a familiar face! Aqua couldn't help but smile. despite the relief she felt from seeing him, though, the fact that he was in this place as well only brought about more questions than answers.

... she would give him time to react before asking anything, though. he looked just as shocked to see her as she was to see him. ]

[There are plenty of questions to ask and plenty of answers to give... But right now he's just so happy to see her after all this time, and the fact that she's unharmed - he's overwhelmed with joy. Again, without much thought, his keyblade vanishes, and he sprints over to her for a big hug.]

It's really you! Yer okay!

[ oh, incoming hug! as he reaches her, she kneels down a little to return that hug, the smile on her face growing a little as she embraces her friend. ]

Yes, I'm okay!

[ she pulls away from the hug a little. ]

Confused ... very confused. But okay.

[ but of course, she still needed those answers. ]

What about Terra? Did Terra make it back okay? And Ven ... is he still asleep? What's gone on since I've been gone?

[ she had heard a little bit from the only other person she had ever seen in the realms of darkness, but specific details were not really a thing then. ]

[At least Aqua was lucky enough not to come here when there was a body hanging upside down on the coral...

Speaking of, Rinoa had been avoiding the plaza a bit ever since aforementioned incident, but fortunately today she had decided to brave it and walk through. She was only in a hurry because she wanted to get through quickly and avoid any potential flashbacks.

It's just as she's almost on the other side when she sees Aqua, quite obviously soaked to the bone. She'd been brought here just a month earlier herself, so she can't turn her back on her. Instead, she grabs two towels (because one is not nearly enough to dry off after that particular dive) from one of the stands and walks over to her.]

Here. [She hands them to Aqua, putting on a smile for her.]

[ she almost jumped at the sound of another voice. as she turned to look at the girl and saw the smile on her face, though, she couldn't help the smile that crossed her own. she glanced down at the towels being offered for a moment before taking them, nodding her head to the other young woman in thanks. ]

[ well, that was one problem ... mostly solved. she could at least dry herself off now. as for any other problems, well ...

she supposed she would have to ask a few questions. but first, she concentrated on drying herself off. ]

Welcome to Vatheon. If you don't mind being stuck in a bubble, it's not a bad place. [Oh yeah, there's a serial killer wandering around, too, but even Rinoa has enough tact to know not to drop that bomb right away.]

[ it was already better than where she had been. though yeah, the soaked on arrival thing was kind of irritating. not overly so, but just a little. she continues to dry herself off as she listens to Rinoa. ]

Wet, cold and freezing, and here she is again. She knows by now to assume that she remembers, so she'll just grab a towel and approach her.]

[ she looks surprised at the kind offer, but she takes the towel regardless and begins to dry herself off.

[ she looks around again. everything is new, different ... this is definitely not a world she has ever been to before. ]
