Status: Open (like an open thing) ~ also, this post may contain spoilers for those who haven't played birth by sleep.

[ It was dark in this place. Very dark, she noted as she looked around, blue eyes wide; but despite the darkness of the place she now found herself in, she was able to tell that this wasn't the place she was in before.

But then ... if this wasn't the realms of darkness, where was it? Or perhaps, this place was another part of the realms that she hadn't seen yet. It was possible. After all, it was quite a large place.

This place felt different, though. Before, when she was wandering around in the dark, she had been so sure of where she was, and knew exactly how she had gotten there. This place didn't have the same feel, and she hadn't seen any unversed at all.

Aqua brought her hand closer to her face and studied it. Her sleeve ... her sleeve was wet. Drops of water dropped off of her hand, onto the ground below her. She was wet. Soaking wet.

She was also freezing cold.

She hugged herself, trying to ignore how she shivered as she took a look at her surroundings once more. Okay ... standing around wouldn't do her much good. She knew that from experience. She had to find out what was going on here. ]

[Riku had been taking double shifts ever since the murder earlier on in the week. There was an uneasiness amongst them since then, and with this happening during the time so many newcomers appeared each month, he couldn't help but want to make sure nothing really happened to them on their first day. It got to the point where he started carrying a towel with him at all times, too...

That's when he sensed it- a strong, somewhat... familiar light. This signature... could it be someone from back home?

He didn't stop to think about it, only moving to race and see for himself. Luckily he doesn't truly need much light to see in the first place, because soon he sees the outline of someone he... met once back home, spoke with a few times here as well. But would she remember?

Riku pauses in reflect, shaking his head. It didn't matter. Either way, it was still rather cool to be soaked to the bone.]

... Aqua-?

_{[You won't have to look for too long, Aqua. Here is Morte, who glances at the new arrival smirking a little. She knew the girl just got here, since she was soaking wet.]}

Welcome to Vatheon. Hope you'll like this place, 'cause you're gonna stay here for a while.

_{[Morte really hated the fact that they are stuck here and it was showing in her voice, even despite the fact that she was smiling while saying that.]}

[ was that a voice? ordinarily she would think she was going crazy. there had been only one other person she'd met in her time in the realms of darkness, and his voice was nothing like what she had just heard.

under ordinary circumstances, Aqua would have thought that she was finally going insane. the circumstances here were far from ordinary, though. so, she looked around for the source of the voice, eyes settling on the source rather quickly; after all, there weren't many people around. there weren't many people it could have been.

at first, she was confused. this young man ... how did he know her name? there was something familiar about him, but it took her some time to place what that familiarity was.

slowly, though, it dawned on her. he looked similar ... to that boy she met, all that time ago, and his friend. the boy who reminded her so much of Terra ...

... it wasn't exactly a long shot. though she was surprised at how old the young man looked to be now, she honestly had no idea how much time had passed during her time in the realms of darkness.

it was worth a guess. ]

... Riku?

[ she was sure that it was his name. she hadn't forgotten Sora's name, either. ]

[ all of her confusion, Morte. you can have it. she looks around, quickly locating the source of the voice and offering a weary, uncertain smile. ]

I ... um, thank you. [ Vatheon. That was the name of this place. It confirmed her suspicions of being in a new world, at least.

But how did she get here? What force brought her to this place? It must have been powerful, to take her from where she had been prior to this.

She was quiet for some time, collecting her thoughts and figuring out how to ask about what she wanted to know. Finally, she spoke again. ]

Would you happen to know how I got here ...?

[Mickey had also been taking shifts, and lately didn't know what to expect of this place. His fingers kept flicking back and forth, ready to summon his Keyblade at any moment. Soon, he sees her shadow, and immediately summons it, already paranoid. He foolishly runs headfirst towards the problem -

And barely manages to skid to a halt in time. Despite all the impossibilities being shown to him in Vatheon already, seeing her still comes as a great shock. Cue wide eyes, jaw dropped, and a stutter of her name.]

... M-master Aqua?

[At least Aqua was lucky enough not to come here when there was a body hanging upside down on the coral...

Speaking of, Rinoa had been avoiding the plaza a bit ever since aforementioned incident, but fortunately today she had decided to brave it and walk through. She was only in a hurry because she wanted to get through quickly and avoid any potential flashbacks.

It's just as she's almost on the other side when she sees Aqua, quite obviously soaked to the bone. She'd been brought here just a month earlier herself, so she can't turn her back on her. Instead, she grabs two towels (because one is not nearly enough to dry off after that particular dive) from one of the stands and walks over to her.]

Here. [She hands them to Aqua, putting on a smile for her.]

[ That was most definitely a familiar voice. Not as familiar as some of the other voices she could have heard, but familiar nonetheless. She turned, as quickly as she could (and quickly realized what a bad idea that was with the sudden dizziness that occured), and quickly spotted him. ]

... Mickey!

[ a familiar face! Aqua couldn't help but smile. despite the relief she felt from seeing him, though, the fact that he was in this place as well only brought about more questions than answers.

... she would give him time to react before asking anything, though. he looked just as shocked to see her as she was to see him. ]

[ she almost jumped at the sound of another voice. as she turned to look at the girl and saw the smile on her face, though, she couldn't help the smile that crossed her own. she glanced down at the towels being offered for a moment before taking them, nodding her head to the other young woman in thanks. ]

Thank you.

[ well, that was one problem ... mostly solved. she could at least dry herself off now. as for any other problems, well ...

she supposed she would have to ask a few questions. but first, she concentrated on drying herself off. ]

No idea. I've heard the coral's responsible for bringing us here. Apparently it's indestructible- _{[guess who already tried to destroy it.]} -so I've no idea if getting rid of it would help us get outta here.

_{[she puts her hands on her hips. she doesn't look happy at all.]}

In other words, we're stuck here and can't do anything about that for now.

[There are plenty of questions to ask and plenty of answers to give... But right now he's just so happy to see her after all this time, and the fact that she's unharmed - he's overwhelmed with joy. Again, without much thought, his keyblade vanishes, and he sprints over to her for a big hug.]

It's really you! Yer okay!

Sure. Everyone comes here soaked. It's pretty unpleasant.

[Thus the towel stands. The Vatheon residents were pretty savvy, at least.]

Welcome to Vatheon. If you don't mind being stuck in a bubble, it's not a bad place. [Oh yeah, there's a serial killer wandering around, too, but even Rinoa has enough tact to know not to drop that bomb right away.]

[ the coral is responsible? she'd find that strange if not for the fact that she's undoubtedly heard (and seen) stranger things. ]

... I see.

[ she thinks. well ... all things considered, it wasn't bad. it wasn't where she wanted to go, but it wasn't any worse than where she had been.

... and there were people here. perhaps, in time, they could work together to find a way back to their respective worlds. and she ... then she could find Terra, and make sure the both of them would be there for Ven. ]

[ oh, incoming hug! as he reaches her, she kneels down a little to return that hug, the smile on her face growing a little as she embraces her friend. ]

Yes, I'm okay!

[ she pulls away from the hug a little. ]

Confused ... very confused. But okay.

[ but of course, she still needed those answers. ]

What about Terra? Did Terra make it back okay? And Ven ... is he still asleep? What's gone on since I've been gone?

[ she had heard a little bit from the only other person she had ever seen in the realms of darkness, but specific details were not really a thing then. ]

[ it was already better than where she had been. though yeah, the soaked on arrival thing was kind of irritating. not overly so, but just a little. she continues to dry herself off as she listens to Rinoa. ]

So this place is another world, then? [ well, she was certainly no stranger to those. ]

Do you know how we got here?

[Well darn, he'd hoped to have at least a few minutes before needing to answer those difficult questions. He swallows hard, pulling himself back.]

... It's kinda hard ta explain, Aqua, but... we're in a place called Vatheon. It has the power ta take people from different worlds... and from different times. We've got no idea how ta get back just yet.

[... mickey that's not answering her. Look her in the eyes, and be the big man.]

... It's... been a while, Aqua. I haven't seen those two in years. But before I was taken here, I thought I'd found a way ta help all three of ya out. And I still plan ta do it when we figure this place out.

Pretty much. No one's found a way out, yet.

Um, popular theory is that the coral did it. [She points to the rather large chunk of it in the middle of the plaza.] You need to touch every few weeks or you'll get sick.

[ she's paying the utmost attention to him. at first, she seems to be taking it all in, her mind grasping the idea that she's in a different world altogether and that there didn't seem to be a known way back.

but then, he answers her questions about Ventus and Terra. Or, well, answers them to the best of his ability. Aqua's gaze lowers, looking more at the ground now, more than at Mickey.

so .. Mickey didn't know for sure. Something within Aqua told her that if Ventus has awoken, he would have found Mickey somehow, so she was quite certain that Ven was at least all right.

Terra, though ... ]

... thank you, Mickey.

[ he's still thinking of them, even after all this time. ]

How long has it been for you?

[ there's a nod here. her eyes avert to the coral. the idea itself seems a little far-fetched, but she's definitely seen stranger things. ]

Is there anything else I should know?

... A long time, but... I only just got ta this place last month, and...

[Mickey, that's still not answering. He grimaces, and then forces himself to look her directly in the eyes.]

... Since I last saw the three of ya, it's been... ten years. B-but we've got help now! My friends, Sora and Riku, they're definitely the key ta helpin' all three of ya out!

[He begins speaking rapidly in some kind of effort to assure her... and himself.]

I was just talkin' ta Master Yen Sid, and we were gunna put the boys through the Mark a' Mastery test, and then I got taken here... but I know they can pass it, and they can save all of ya!

[This is exactly how she found Aqua the last time.

Wet, cold and freezing, and here she is again. She knows by now to assume that she remembers, so she'll just grab a towel and approach her.]

Here. You might need this.

[Well, if she does remember, she'll find out in a minute.]

[ Aqua knew that she shouldn't have been surprised. She had a feeling that a lot of time had passed in the duration of her stay in the realms of darkness.

still, suddenly hearing the amount of time that had passed ...

she tried to shake the feeling she had off; that indescribable, unknown feeling that she felt from hearing all of this. it would do her no good right now. no, she had to keep moving forward.

Mickey seemed to be reassuring more than just her, it seemed; the tone of his voice and how rapidly he was speaking gave him away. still, Aqua could tell that he really did have faith in Sora and Riku, and if Mickey believed so much in them, she did as well.

it certainly seemed as though they had come a long way from the young boys she had met before ... she smiled. ]

I met them both, once, when they were very young. I remember them. [ her smile grew a little wider, and she let out a small laugh. ]

I have faith in them, Mickey. I can see that you do, too.

[ sorry, Yukari. :( she won't be remembering you. she will, however, be grateful for the help, despite her confusion. ]

T-Thank you.

[ she looks surprised at the kind offer, but she takes the towel regardless and begins to dry herself off.

she'll start asking questions ... after her mind stops racing and she can decide what to ask first. ]

Are you okay?

[Helpfully saving her the trouble of thinking too much about it at the moment. It's always a good idea to make sure the newcomers aren't injured on arrival...

Especially considering the nasty return she had not a few days ago.]

[He blinks, surprised at that tidbit of information. But it's good to know, and he manages to actually stop talking and take a breath. He gives an earnest smile, relieved to know she took it all so well.]

... One of them is here... Riku. And he's grown up inta quite the fella! He's protectin' the people here, and he's made a ton of friends... there's a ton a' good people here... and Minnie! Minnie's here too! Boy, when she sees who comin' 'round, she'll be so happy!

...Is that really all you've got to say? I mean, we're in a different world and we're stuck here!

_{[Sorry Aqua, but Morte is too annoyed by this situation. She wants to leave. She has a world to destroy!!]}
