To meet you there, on the other side...
Who:
relinquishing (Guy) and
fonmaster (Ion)
When: Early evening of the 6th.
Where: Pendilum Apartment 3-3
Style: [Action]
Status: Complete/Closed
[Guy wasn't sure how he was feeling at the moment. He was feeling all sorts of things. Confusion was a big one. Concern was another. And that hint of frustration in the back of his mind was bubbling up and threatening to become something more.
He hasn't moved from his spot at his kitchen counter since he had ended his call with Ion, his SFC still leaning against the faux marble top. His gaze is settled on an unseen object in front of him, his hands clenched together under his chin and his brow furrowed. He wasn't as concerned as to why Ion was here in Vatheon - sure, it had surprised him to see the Fon Master, but it wasn't what was causing his immediate concern.
It was the fact that Ion had apparently been dead before his arrival.
And Guy couldn't remember that ever happening.
So now Guy sat, stewing in his thoughts, waiting for said Fon Master to arrive at his apartment. He wasn't about to have a conversation like this in front of complete strangers... especially if they were really both from different points of time.]

I RETURN \o/ Also, 1/2
Food for two it is, then!
[He silently listens to Ion's question as he pulls out a skillet and places it over on the stovetop.]
Hah, you know me too well, Fon Master. It's really a fascinating piece of work - how it manipulates the Fifth and Seventh Fonon and redistributes them... and how they're able to control the flow without disruption of other streams of fonons in the network... this kind of grasp over the Seventh Fonon is something we're just scraping the surface of in Kimlasca! [He would have ripped the starfish open long ago, had he ever found a way to get the casing off. But it had proven for the better, considering how versatile the communicator had wound up being.
The blond's voice trails off. He'd been rambling a bit, hadn't he? He shakes his head and laughs, bringing the pot over to the opposite counter top and setting it in the sink.] Hah, sorry. Anyways... life here? It's been alright; for as confusing as it was getting here, the transition hasn't been too bad. The natives are friendly, and most services are free of charge. You can even find different odd jobs, if you dig around.
[Faucet on, the hiss of water hitting metal now lightly echoing through the kitchen.] It's been, well, monotonous at times... You understand that I'd like to return to Auldrant as much as anything, hah. But I've been trying to make the best of it for the time being. I've been here for almost two -- ah, sorry... make that a little less than a month now. [The different time systems for Auldrant and Vatheon were still taking some getting used to - only 30 days in a month, only 12 months, and only 365 days in a year? Oi. There was a reason he was keeping track of the days in a separate notebook, rather than using the oddly shortened calendars available around the city. He hoped that Ion wouldn't find the change too drastic...] Even so, out of all the people coming in and out from different worlds, you and Anise have been the only familiar faces--
