When Mitsuhide had told Yukimura he could train a horse to allow him to ride as he usually did, he took that to heart. Nearly every morning since he had been working with a stallion nearly as excitable as he was, chatting excitedly to it as he taught the horse with surprising patience.

Now his hard work was paying off.

If you hear the sound of pounding hooves, you may wish to get out of the way.

Yukimura was crouched on the back of the stallion, one foot sideways and the other placed squarely between the beast's shoulder blades. He held his hands at his sides, missing the feel of his spears in his hands, as they cantered through any space big enough and empty enough for an excitable horse and his master to pass through.

If one were to follow them, eventually they would find a laughing Yukimura near the lake, brushing the sweat off the equine's body as it drank its fill.

Kenshin nodded in reply. "I have indeed. The celebration was quite grand, much more so than other festivals prior. Did you attend as well?"

"That I did! The fireworks were most spectacular, as was the food!" Oh yes, definitely the food. Yukimura had given himself quite the stomachache without anyone there to scold him for eating too much.

"The food was quite delicious indeed," Kenshin agreed. He had more than his fair share of chocolate cake, as well. Cake seemed to go well with sake. Then again, most things went well with sake.

"How often do such festivals happen?" Though Kenshin had said the others were not as grand, Yukimura thought even a festival half the size would be enjoyable.

"There are several throughout the year," Kenshin replied. "Each celebrates a festival of this land. I believe there were four the previous year." Most were for foreign festivals, like Valentine's Day or Halloween. The New Year's festival seemed to be the most familiar of the festivals.

"Four...well, if I remain in this place so long, I will look forward to them!" Part of him almost wished to stay; he had not known such peace for a very long time. To wake in the morning and not have to think of blood to shed...

Perhaps it made him a shameful warrior, but he found it utterly pleasant.

Kenshin did enjoy the peace as well, but he knew battle would come their way. It always did with this place. All the battles were odd, as well, leaving the residents to fight dinosaurs, ghost pirates, and giant evil psycho clowns. It was always interesting.

"I do recommend trying 'chocolate'," Kenshin suggested. "The Valentine's Day festival seems to be centered around it. It is quite a delicious sweet."

"'Chocolate?' Oh, I will do so! Where do I acquire it?" Granted, he had no idea what it looked like, but hey, 'delicious sweet.' He was so there.

"Many places in the plaza have it," Kenshin replied. He'd been there several times to get some himself.

"I will look for it upon my next trip there!"

"I believe you may enjoy it," Kenshin nodded with a smile. He sure did himself.
