Momma, Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Samurai
Who:
cubofkai, a horse, and you.
Where: Just about anywhere; the Lake
When: Afternoon!
Style: Either/or!
When Mitsuhide had told Yukimura he could train a horse to allow him to ride as he usually did, he took that to heart. Nearly every morning since he had been working with a stallion nearly as excitable as he was, chatting excitedly to it as he taught the horse with surprising patience.
Now his hard work was paying off.
If you hear the sound of pounding hooves, you may wish to get out of the way.
Yukimura was crouched on the back of the stallion, one foot sideways and the other placed squarely between the beast's shoulder blades. He held his hands at his sides, missing the feel of his spears in his hands, as they cantered through any space big enough and empty enough for an excitable horse and his master to pass through.
If one were to follow them, eventually they would find a laughing Yukimura near the lake, brushing the sweat off the equine's body as it drank its fill.

A little while they had arrived there Kisa came up watching them before she approached, though cautious of the horse. The only horse she knew was Rin and she would never let anyone on her back, she would kick them off in an instant. So this was her first time meeting a real one face to face.
"...wow..." The closer she got the bigger the horse was, it made her a little nervous.
no subject
"Oh, hello!" His voice was friendly. The horse did not seem to care about Kisa's presence, more interested in its drink.
no subject
"Hello, I'm Kisa." It would be rude to not introduce herself.

It took her a little while, as she's walking on foot compared to the horse's faster pace. But the maiden will eventually arrived. Now that she can see it better, the stallion looked like a fine beast.

"Oh! Hello, Amane-dono!" He grinned and waved in welcome. "How are you this ifne day?"
no subject
Amane was on a walk, when Yukimura and his horse took her attention. "And yourself?"

He completely forgets what he was doing --getting some groceries, actually-- his feet turning as he wanders off in the direction Yukimura had ridden off in. That was just so-- oh man, he had to fuckin' tell this to Equius. Maybe he could get this bro to come home with him so he could show him.
Finally he comes to the place where Yukimura is brushing off his horse, his voice still awed. "Motherfucker, that shit were tight."
no subject
Yeah, this just calls for staring in a most confused fashion, followed by a small, "...excuse me?"

She was quite sure that's not how anyone rides a horse, it's too dangerous! Alright, acrobatic riders usually can, but...
"..."
Vietnam was no where near as fast as a horse, but with one part awe and one part worry (if one were to fall off--) she found herself following, making use of higher ground and sound to make sure she was still on the right track. Eventually she locates him by the lake, and sighs in relief when she hears his laughter and notices how both he and the horse were alright.

"Vietnam-dono! Good afternoon!"
sob sorry for the lateness! ;o; Been busy
"Good afternoon to you too, Yukimura. What were you...ah...doing?"
It's all right! I totally understand.

You! Don't ride a horse so recklessly!
no subject
Are you quite all right?
no subject
You're not riding your horse properly. You could seriously injure somebody!

Arf arf!

Is that a challenge?
[ He laughs, then crouches lower on the horse's back, urging it to run faster. ]
I most gratefully accept!

"You certainly take after your lord," Kenshin commented, relaxing his stance a bit.

"Uesugi-dono! You flatter me with such words." For, of course, to him being compared to Shingen was nothing but the highest of compliments.

And appears quite like a ninja to pat the horse on the nose, peering around it to speak--]
Were you born with that sense of insanity, or is it learned?
no subject
I would not call it insanity, but I never remember being different.

He listens as the man laughs, slowing his jog to a walk as he takes in the sight of the large horse. Akihiko'd never been this close to a horse before but he knows better than to simply approach it. Should he just try to run by? But what is that spooked the horse? Managing to push training to the back of his mind for a few moments, he decides it would be best to cautiously move around the two.
"Heh... That's quite the horse you've got there," he says, trying to make some kind of friendly conversation. "Do you ride here often?"
no subject
"Do you remember me? I fear I was much shorter when we met." Akihiko's question about the horse got forgotten for the moment as Yukimura's expression turned somewhat sheepish.
