Who: Trunks and whoever
Where: Park!
When: Monday, midmorning
Style: Action or whatever
Status: Open
[If Trunks hadn't thought Vatheon was bizarre before, when the gossamer bubbles appeared floating near everyone's heads, he definitely did. Even stranger was when he tried hitting it with a small ki blast...nothing happened.
He's currently in the park, studiously ignoring it as he shadowboxes with himself, about fifteen feet in the air. Considering the speeds at which he can move, it seems there's a thought bubble floating by itself in midair half the time--it's given up entirely on following him.
The only thing running through it right now is a list of things to do later: laundry, grocery shopping, finish fixing the windows, interspersed with reflections on fighting technique.]

At first glance, they're probably what Trunks expects to see. A lot of fighting, Vegeta standing victorious over piles of alien bodies... but if he doesn't wake his father up, they take a significantly darker turn.]

...his sight is keen enough to make out the bubble, and he feels vaguely voyeuristic for it. He looks away, but he's curious--when he looks back, those dreams of his are getting worse.
And if he feels like it's wrong for him to see this, he can't imagine how Vegeta would feel to have other people see. He lands next to his father's shoulder, instead of reaching out to wake him physically, Trunks speaks.]
Hey. Vegeta, wake up.
no subject
What do you want?
no subject
I thought you might not want everyone to see that. They seem to be showing off what's going through our heads.
[His own bubble shifts, the new words saying 'I know I wouldn't.']
no subject
What is this?!
no subject
There was one floating around me when I woke up this morning, I'd guess it was the same for you. They don't seem to be something we can destroy.
[Text: Yes, I have tried.]

...this must be another one of those idiotic curses. The last one made us both sick.

A flash goes through the sphere of too-bright, soulless ice-blue eyes, inches from his own, mouth twisted in a mocking facsimile of a friendly smile. Too close, get away from me!]
Must be.
[He doesn't acknowledge it.]
no subject
...
[Aware that one such scenario had just played out for the boy to see, Vegeta turns and starts to walk away.]

Really, he didn't even plan on scoping this guy out. He planned on walking right on through the park, running some daily errands, when- ....Well. Way to make yourself obvious, dude. Izaya's just going to stop and look all the way up at Trunks, a look of speculation on his face.]
Hiya. [So friendly. Look at that smile.] See you're infected~ as well?
[His own bubble is bouncing behind him but has an odd black static happening in it instead of anything viable. Occasional flashes of people but that's about it. Nothing worth registering.]
no subject
So it would seem. Is there something I can do for you...?
no subject
[A polite smile because Izaya doesn't have entirely ill intentions. Actually, they might be just the opposite.]
I'm Orihara Izaya. It's nice to meet you. It looks like you got your bubble under control kinda.
no subject
No, it's no bother.
[His surface thoughts right now are entirely uninteresting, just cycling through a grocery list and also pinning Izaya's name to his face.]
Trunks Briefs. And I suppose I have it about as under control as anyone can.
[Eh, you should've seen when he was talking with Vegeta, the thing was everywhere.]
no subject
[His bubble finally shows some activity. It also seems to be relatively under control, but the name triggers a few onslought images of- yup.
Heiwajima Shizuo.]
You don't happen to know Shizu-chan, do you? He mentioned a guy by the name of Trunks helping him out with control.
[His mind is playing off a scene of Shizuo wrenching a street sign from the ground and then it sort of just freezes on it.]
no subject
[Trunks' head tilts curiously. He wouldn't call the guy Shizu-chan, but he supposes one who knows him better might take the liberty.]
With some of the people around here, it's probably for the best that someone teaches him, so he doesn't get into it with the wrong person.
[Trunks' own thought bubble flashes to who he was thinking of in particular with that statement--Vegeta.]
no subject
I've wanted to meet you since he's mentioned you.
[His mind fades back to black until Vegeta's name appears and then his bubble frantically skitters red for a moment before relaxing.]
Yeah...I'd rather that he didn't teach Shizu-chan about control. He didn't really approach it the best way. Hm- ah. So you're going for a more meditative route? That's good. I suggested that to him but I think he needed someone more professional to help him.
So, you're not psychotic are you?
[It's a perfectly serious question. And he looks just as serious, honestly.]
Not like Vegeta?
no subject
Trunks goes 'heh' and shakes his head.]
No, I'm definitely not psychotic.
[Unless your name is Frieza or you happen to be an evil android.]
Vegeta isn't really either...just...direct.
[Though there's a flash through the bubble, slightly tinted red around the edges with anger, of an image of Vegeta viewed through Trunks' eyes--older, flame-like hair gold instead of black--with words appearing along the lines of why didn't he save them, his son and the mother of his child? what kind of man is he?
Trunks looks annoyed by the bubble and backhands it. It just bobbles away a bit before floating back.]

He pauses as he notices a bubble floating blissfully on its own in front of him, his eyes trailing down to its apparent owner.]
How'd you manage to get yours to leave you alone like that?
[He does a strange dance from side to side to keep his bubble out of sight as he speaks.]
no subject
I guess I was just moving too fast for it to keep up. It's still showing things, though.
no subject
[He lets the bubble escape from behind him as the image fades, instead displaying a murky view of the Lamufao.]
no subject
[An idle thought drifts across Trunks' bubble, which has drifted back behind his head now that he's stopped moving: If you can bike as fast as I can move, anyway.]
no subject
[Shinra glances up at the returned bubble, smirking as he reads the statement scrawled across it. His own thoughts, which nefariously escaped from behind him to float by his side, shift to display a few anatomical diagrams of a runner and a dim question mark.]
How fast can you move, anyway?
no subject
Ah, pretty fast.
no subject
[Trunks is taking a nice jog through Shinra's bubble, complete with a few monitoring nodes and a treadmill.]
Have I mentioned that I'm a doctor?
[He's not going to mention that he's rather fond of vivisections. Not yet, at least.]
no subject
That's...good to know.
[Why does he feel like he's being sized up?
Oh right your thoughts are on monitoring and experiments.Trunks' thoughts turn to how...he looks kinda young for a doctor.]
