*Five minutes early. Well waiting wasn't so bad, she supposed. Leaning against the coral, she stares up at the waters above.

Meeting a total stranger face-to-face is rather nervous task for her, but she'll try her best to, in a way, fulfill her duties. Come to think of it, this is her first time doing anything else a Welcoming Committee member, isn't it? She hope she can do a good job of guiding him.

She checks her communicator - it's eight - and searches the streets for the red-haired man.

He won't be late, would he?*

*Zelos tries to settle back down. Vatheon isn't falling apart because of these curses as far as he can tell, and Fuuka certainly doesn't seem traumatized, so maybe they aren't as bad as they sound. He takes a breath and lets it out slowly*

Well that's good news, at least. What do you say we order?

[angelicvoice]

Sounds good to me.

*It's probably a good idea to step away from the topic anyway. When the waiter comes around to take their order, Fuuka asks for the pasta and grape juice and waits naturally for Zelos to finish the order.*

*Zelos simply orders water and the same pasta as Fuuka, any trace of his previous discomfort quickly swallowed up by his apparent amiable demeanor in the presence of the waiter. Once the man has taken their orders and vanished back through the door proclaiming 'Staff Only', Zelos turns his attention back to his company.*

So what kind of dog would you suggest for a teenage girl? I'm not big on pets so I'm a little lost when it comes to choosing.

[angelicvoice]

*It's relief to know that the heavy stuff is over for now, but she can't help but feel that he's forcing himself. Hopefully that isn't so - ...*

Something small would be nice. I think bigger dogs are hard to handle for a girl around my age.

How about a beagle? They're about this *gestures with her hands the approximate size.* big.

Hmm... I was thinking something a little bigger than that maybe. For protection, you know?

*It isn't like he can be there all the time to watch over Colette, so a guard dog should be just the thing.*

In that case, Golden Retriever is a good choice. *It has been a while but she remembers reading about them.* They say it's very friendly and loyal. They're pretty smart too.

Although. *She remembers Koromaru and his small size. She chuckles slightly.* I don't think size is really important.

For a guard dog it is. I need this thing to be able to take on anything.

*Fuuka observes his expression and nods. Whoever this friend is, she must be an important person to Zelos.*

I understand. You want your loved ones to be safe.

I just didn't see the post. Don't feel bad! School is important!

*As Zelos opens his mouth to respond, the waiter comes back with their orders, causing a smile of delight to light up the Chosen's face* This looks really good~! Great choice, Fuuka-chan ♥

[Of course he won't eat a mouthful until Fuuka does first. He does have manners after all.]

*She flushes pleasantly.*

Let's eat before it gets cold. Thank you for the food ... *She says the phrase out of habit but picks up her fork regardless. Wrapping the pasta around the fork, she takes a bite. It is so good ~ She must've been hungrier than she originally thought.*

*Zelos tucks in after Fuuka's had her first bite. He's quite deft at twirling the noodles on his fork but he did say pasta was his favorite so it's no surprise. He seems to savor each bite, paying attention to taste and texture; after all, he doesn't need to eat in order to survive since the crystal sustains him, so instead he eats for pleasure and has gotten in the habit of savoring each bite of anything he consumes.*

Mmm~ My compliments to the chef!♥

[angelicvoice]

*It's rewarding to see Zelos enjoying the food, that it is. Fuuka watches him eat for a minute, feeling happy for him and proud of herself.*

You make it sound as if you own the place. *He can't help the little bit of friendly ribbing.* I think I will, though! I get tired of my own cooking after awhile and I don't think my roommate knows how to make anything but tea.

*True, he doesn't need to eat, but he does derive pleasure from excellent cooking. And pretty girls. So he's quite happy at the moment! He leans forward a bit.* So, anything I should know besides the curses? Weird aliens? Though everyone I've seen has mostly been human or Elven.

Oh! I-I didn't mean it like that ... !

*You shouldn't tease her too much Zelos. She gets flustered easily you silly goose. Too fill the awkward pause afterwards, she takes couple of bites of her pasta before replying.*

Well, there are many different kinds of people here. If you count trolls as aliens, there are some of them here. But they're foreigners like us, and I don't think they're bad guys.

[chosen_gigolo]

*Zelos notes the flustering but slides seamlessly on with the conversation anyway.*

Well technically I guess we're all aliens, but I did mean stuff like the trolls. Those are the gray skinned ones with horns, right?

[angelicvoice]

That's right. They're a little eccentric, but they seem like okay people, don't they?

*I mean one of them baked a cake for Yukari. Fuuka was bit scared of them first, but she is trying to get to know them better nowadays.*

[chosen_gigolo]

*Zelos just shrugs easily, taking another bite of his meal.* I haven't really talked with any of them. Have you?

[angelicvoice]

I have, but only few times.

*Fuuka offers the basket of bread.* To be honest, I was really scared when I first saw one of them. He looked like the ogre in my old storybooks.

[chosen_gigolo]

*He takes a roll and smiles his thanks.* They do looks pretty scary, but not everything scary is bad I guess.

*Definitely not in his experience. Those summon spirits are quite useful. Still, just in case those trolls or something else are more like monsters and less like spirits, he needs to get that dog for Colette. In the interest of of that mission, he polishes off his pasta with a flourish.*

[angelicvoice]

*Fuuka can't eat as first, so forgive her if she a little longer than you Zelos. Somehow she does finish her meal. Pleasantly full, she looks over and smiles.*

I guess you're ready to leave?

[chosen_gigolo]

Ah, don't let me rush you Fuuka-chan~! *He leans back in his chair, crossing one leg over the other with a grin.* I just couldn't help myself, it was so delicious~

[angelicvoice]

Oh, I couldn't eat another bite even if I tried.

*Fuuka laughs a little. Her plate is mostly clean, perhaps not as clean as Zelos's.*

[chosen_gigolo]

*Well he is a fair bit bigger than she is, though not overly muscular.*

Well in that case, maybe we should get going. *He laughs easily, waiting for Fuuka to rise before he follows suit, as a gentleman should.*

[angelicvoice]

Right. Thank you for the food.

*Noticing the cue, Fuuka stands up from her seat and slides the chair under the table.*

[chosen_gigolo]

*Zelos does the same and even holds the door for Fuuka as they exit, allowing her to take the lead since he has no idea where the shop is.*

Hm, so a golden retriever you say?
