Selphie Spreading Cheer

During the curse, Selphie had been forced to stay away from the barn - there was no way she wanted that to spread, not if there was a possibility that it was actual sickness that she had, and not just a curse. So she'd been home for a week for real rest and sleep, and was able to return to the barn as positive as ever.

There's some disturbance and noise going on around Nostalgia Nook, near the barn. Selphie's busy in there again, only this time doing something else. She's definitely decorating. There's fresh coats of paint around, the barn doors wide open, and Selphie can be found high up a really high ladder, stringing up some lights that she's had since Christmas. The place, for a barn, looks pretty tidy too, with the hay stacked in neat cubes at one end, and the other with some wooden planks, vaguely resembling a stage.

Whoa! She'd been totally in her own world there, finishing the last hooking up of the string of lights, and the voice had definitely startled her. She'd been standing on one foot, trying to reach the highest part of the barn, but when she tried standing on it properly, her foot slipped and she wobbled.

Selphie gave a little squeal of panic, but she soon managed to grab herself a steady hold on the ladder. After taking a deep breath, she turned down him, "Hey yourself!"

Eikichi panicked for a moment. There was no way he could catch her with his string bean arms, and he was about to summon Hades to catch her for him (he even had his hand outstretched to summon him!), but she managed to catch herself. Thank god.

"Careful there, babe," he offered stupidly. "Didn't mean to scare ya. You alright?"

Selphie started laughing as she turned to climb down that ladder, glancing at that outstretched arm and glad that at least he had been quick to try and catch her!

"Tee hee! Oops!" Finally she landed with both feet on the floor, and she spun round to him, shrugging and grinning, "I'm fine!"

Eikichi grinned and shoved both hands back into his pants pockets, seeing that she was now perfectly fine. Last thing he wanted to do was to rush her to the hospital. He couldn't really heal her himself, as he wasn't really compatible with the healing persona (though he probably had some healing gems on him somewhere).

"You've been pretty busy here," he gazed up at all the decorations. The place really was starting to look like a place to perform.

Selphie turned her back to him slightly again to take a good look at the makeshift performance space. She gave an assertive nod - yeah, she'd done a good job definitely!

"Uh huh! Been working all day!" And actually, she was pretty tired, but she looked at him happily, "So whatcha think?"

"Perfect," he replied in Engrish. "Couldn't ask for a better debut stage." Sure, it was unconventional, and it certainly wasn't something he'd find in the city. But this place wasn't conventional by any means nor was it really city-like. It had more of a rural feel, so what was better than a barn decked out? Absolutely nothing!

That was exactly what Selphie wanted to hear, and she leapt at him with an enthusiastic hug. "I knew you'd say so! It's gonna be so great - there's a place for band and crowd now! It's great!"

Eikichi grinned broadly. She sure was a hugger, not that he really minded. He was distracted by finding others happy to perform in a band. "Best debut ever." It was perfect (almost too perfect), and hopefully they'd stay curse-free for awhile, at least enough to practice and get everyone together.

Selphie stumbled away and went to jump up onto the stage, just to prove that it was actually sound, "Look! It's all ready! We just need the band!" And then she stopped jumping and pointed behind her, "And plenty power points back there."

It was perfect. What a little constructor she was~! And there were even plugs here. "Plenty of places to plug in equipment and lights to show off my beautiful complexion." And it was beautiful, too, now that it wasn't overtaken by a giant MUMP.

That deserved a small pat on the cheek, like she might pat the face of a cute little baby. "Exactly! All we need now is the band..." She looked at him quite pointedly - so far she'd made good on her promise. Where was his part?

Yeah, Eikichi wasn't doing too well with his side at the moment. "Gotta talk to Strider about that." He'd just have to hunt Strider down himself.
