Who: Shizuo and Ion, but open to Izaya and Laharl if they want to jump in!
Where: Izaya's place
When: Evening
Style: Action
Status: Open to Ion & roommates
[Sola had asked Shizuo to check on Ion for him, and though Shizuo had left Ion a message, he decided to pay him a visit. It is the least he could do for Sola, considering the amount of guilt he still feels over the situation. And he owes Ion a thank you for helping him out after that brutal fight with Vegeta.
If Izaya were around, that'd be an added bonus. Then again, the issue of Sola and what happened isn't exactly one that Shizuo feels like broaching with Izaya again. Things are good - great, even - between them, and Shizuo wants it to stay that way.
It's early evening when he arrives, and he knocks on the door. It's a little strange, visiting Izaya's place but with the intention to speak to one of his roommates. In fact, it's still a little odd to think of Izaya as having roommates at all. It makes him miss living with Zelda and Zelos. However short it may have been, it was nice having consistent company.]

Why aren't they home yet? We miss them.

[Being kept away from Izaya is a better way of putting it, but Shizuo doesn't know how much Ion knows and doesn't want to get involved.
He also has no idea what to say about Izaya.]
And...Izaya needed a vacation.

[Ion is very perceptive and unassuming, sometimes people get to talking around him without really thinking about it. He retains all that information, but usually doesn't repeat it back to anyone. He's feeling a little petulant right now, though. Why do people always forget to tell him things?]
no subject
[There's no real point in hiding it, especially if Ion lives with Izaya.]
I was sick this week. He stayed with me.
[Though it didn't explain why Izaya still wasn't home, maybe knowing that would make Ion feel a little better about why Izaya hadn't been in touch.]
no subject
[The pouting expression faded from Ion's face, replaced with worry again. He bows his head politely.]
I'm sorry to make you come all this way, then. Let me get you something to drink, alright?
no subject
[He doesn't want to cause Ion trouble. And the poor guy just now found out that his friend is alive.]
I wanted to thank you, too. For helping me that time. I know it was hard on you.
no subject
I like to be able to help. Most people won't allow me to, though. You were alright, though? You weren't sick because I healed you strangely?
no subject
[He returns Ion's smile, feeling more at ease than when he first arrived.]
What you did really helped.

[Ion tries to usher Shizuo to the couch, moving to put on some tea. It's not the sweet English tea with milk that Zelda usually has, it's the more astringent Japanese style. Poor Shizuo.]
no subject
[Might as well. Maybe Izaya will show up. Shizuo sits.]
Thanks.
no subject
[Ah, wait, would that make Shizuo feel like he had to stay? Ion decides to just not say anything more on the matter, mixing in the powder carefully. He brings the tea over and sets it in front of Shizuo, sitting down on the couch next to him and taking a sip out of his own cup. Ion appears to like the taste.]
blahblah jumping in
Then after that, he simply existed among Vatheon. He had a lot of things to take in. A lot of things to think and resolve over. No, he hadn't contacted Sola, but he would in due time. He knew that the boy was mentally unwell right now and he festered pleasantly in the destruction he had caused.
But it was time to return home. He missed his bed.
So, Izaya suddenly is strolling right on in through the front door, looking pleasant as ever with a surreal smile upon his face and a bag swinging from his wrist.]
I'm home-- Shizu-chan?
[He didn't expect that. Oh. And Ion. But that was expected. He stops right there at the door, his eyes wide in surprise.]
Hi, what are you doing here?
[It's not rudely asked. Just a little perplexed. But then he looks at Ion and his mouth merges into something akin to a rather brotherly fond smile.]
Ion.

[He sets down his tea and rushes over, grabbing at the larger man's coat. Ion looks somewhere between relieved to see him and perplexed as he stares up at Izaya.]
Why? Why did you and Sola do it?!
no subject
He sets down his tea as Izaya enters and looks genuinely happy to see him. He is about to respond, but Ion - understandably - reacts to seeing Izaya first. Shizuo can't blame him. He's pretty much been in the dark, at least from what Shizuo derived from their conversation.
That fond smile on Izaya's face and Ion's reaction - Shizuo suddenly feels like he's seeing a side of Izaya he previously hadn't been privy to. And...it's like he's interrupting a moment that belongs to Ion.
Then there's the sensitive topic.
Yeah, he's not going to say anything. Instead he'll take up the tea and sip it despite the bitterness.]
no subject
It's a little complicated.
[He puts his hand on top of Ion's head and muses up his hair a little bit. Only to smooth it right back down because he had raised sisters and that was never something you just did without punishment.
He's skipping around the topic though.]
But I'm back now. And Sola's alive again so it's fine, hn? Is Laharl around?
[He glances up from Ion to look- as if the little demon was about to bounce out of no where. Instead, his eyes land on Shizuo and his expression turns to something that much softer and for a moment...
Right. Right. He can't let himself get lost just by looking over at Shizuo. But in all fairness they hadn't seen each other since parting ways.]
Ah, hey Ion, do you like Shizu-chan? I see you got the tea out. You're such a good host.
[Yup. Completely dropping the subject altogether.]
no subject
[Ion looks over his shoulder, then back to Izaya. He doesn't want to let him change the topic so easily, he wants to know what possessed them - but as always, he can't bring himself to make others uncomfortable. He just lets Izaya go as he nods.]
Ah, thank you. Yes, I think Shizuo is very nice.
[At least Shizuo told him what was going on. The pout reappears on his face, but he doesn't push the topic.]
no subject
I was just stopping by to thank Ion for healing me a while back. And to let him know Sola is okay.
[Not to bring that back up, but Izaya had asked.
He sets his tea back down and stands.]
I need to go, though.
[After such an intense - and wonderful, really - week, this meeting just feels off.]
no subject
[Yes, Izaya can feel that and it's not the greatest feeling.]
You don't have anything to do.
[He puts his hand on Ion's head again and then drops it altogether to head off into the kitchen to put his bag into the kitchen fridge.
He walks back out to where the tea is and picks up the same cup Shizuo had been drinking from. He takes a sip and- well he likes bitter things so. It's just fine to him.]
So Ion, did I miss anything enlightening?
[He sits down on the couch and from there, grabs Shizuo's hand and all but yanks him down next to him.]
C'mere. I feel so out of the loop~. Sit next to me.
no subject
You didn't really miss anything. The city has been quiet, other than people getting sick.
[And then he smiles genuinely, remembering the good parts of the week.]
Oh, Luke is here now! He arrived this cycle. Luke is a dear friend of mine. The circumstances could be better, but I'm glad to see him again.
no subject
Izaya doesn't seem as alone as Shizuo always thought he was, and Shizuo isn't sure how he feels about that.
Maybe. Jealous, in a really off-handed abstract way.
Izaya taking his hand helps a little, and he half-sits, half-falls into the seat beside Izaya.
And listens.
At least Izaya is drinking his tea so he doesn't have to.]
no subject
His attention, otherwise, is on Ion. Especially when he mentions a new name. Izaya is always curious of new people, after all.]
Luke, hn? Why would you say the circumstances could be better?
[How curious. He sets his tea cup down so that he can take out his SFC to scroll through the list of names.
Ion's social connections are just as important to him. After all...]
no subject
That's related to Luke's private business, I'm afraid. You can ask him yourself if you wish. Nevertheless, it is good to have him here.
[He adds something as an afterthought, smiling again.]
Sola reminds me a lot of Luke. I think that you would like him.
