One would think that a guy who walked around 'naked' would never have need to do laundry. Well, you'd be wrong mac because that's what Bugs was doing on this lovely morning. Only now he was outside, hanging up bed sheets and his night cloths. Also some towels he'd found earlier that week in the market. His ears were tucked under a wrap to keep them clean and he was singing out loud to himself. Hey, it was a hard habit to break.

"Peanuts~ If you ain't got bananas don't be blue. Der's peanuts in a little bag ta call to you." He finished with a bed sheet and stepped back with a nod before picking up something else.

"Through every city, town an country lane, da peanut vendor sings his little strain." The basket started to get emptier and the cloths line fuller. "Boy...it's times like dis dat I miss my old rabbit hole. Dat Californy sun woulda had dis stuff dry hours ago."

He stretched and sat down, leaning against the pole of the cloths line. A banjo comes out and he finishes the song, "If an apple keeps da doctor from your door, Peanuts oughtta keep him back a little more~ Peanuts, we'll meet again, da da da, dis street again, da da da we'll meet again."

Kaito has spent the better part of his time in vatheon so far pretending to be the great Detective Shinichi Kudo. Something that was far more exhausting than he ever thought it would be. Sure it was as easy as putting gell in his hair to disguise hilself as the guy but they were so different that his personality had completely drained the poor kid. He had to get away for a while and just be himself. At the same time, he needed to ensure he didn't run into the little brat with glasses or anyone else that might recognize him.

He ducked out of his house in disguise and once he was sure he was safe he messed up his hair so that it returned to it's unruly, spiky state. Far more natural than... what ever Kudo called that. He lets out a heavy sigh and leans against a tree to collect his thoughts. Maybe he should see about getting another apartment or something to just hide out in when he didn't feel like being Kudo. He could put it under a different name- a name like... A.L.

His thoughts on the matter are disrupted however, as he hears someone singing. Someone singing with a weird accent. Right. Well, it's probably not a good idea to make contact with anyone while he wasn't in disguise... but he's curious as to who would be out in the forest and moves over closer until he catches sight of a rabbit. A rabbit? Doing laundry. Well. Now he's seen everything.

"A dryer works much faster."

The sudden voice startles him and Bugs hits a sour note. A wince and string pop before he turns to stare at the human that came from no where. He tosses the banjo aside and simply stares at Kaito.

"Ya ever try ta get a dryer down a rabbit hole, mac?"

Now what was a human doing way out here? Without a gun or goofy hat?

"Of course not-but surely there's a Laundromat somewhere in town." He shrugs. "If they're just giving the houses away I can't imagine they'd charge you at a laundromat. But, then again-this place is kinda weird." Kind of being a vast under-statement.

Bugs would be happy to know that this human isn't remotely dangerous at the moment. He's just a seventeen year old kid looking to escape the pressure he's placed on himself. And, he's only dangerous to those that are foolish enough to tick him off.

Have a face of absolute horror, "Kid, I ain't mixin' my sheets wit whatever crazy stuff people get stuck wit in this place. I seen some weird tings and...well, dis way I know what's on 'em."

But he does agree with the 'weird' sentiment. The local populace gives Bugs the heebie jeebies. Not to mention the whole worshiping a rock thing.

"So, besides spyin' on poor defenseless rabbit's...what's up doc?"

"Well, can't blame you for being cautious, I suppose." He just shrugs, wondering what this rabbit could have seen that could get on sheets. ...Maybe he didn't want to know.

"I'm not spying, I just happen to overhear you. And other than that, I'm just trying to get a breath of fresh air- you know, alone time?"

Blink and staring at Kaito for a moment with the most sarcastic and slightly smug look on his face, "Kid you're lucky dis thing's rated PG."

He shrugs and stands up, taking the turban off and just sort of tossing it aside. "Eh, this place ain't home. Yet. I dunno what'll happen around here." So he hasn't been tossing pies or anvils around all willy nilly. Of course caution is something he is in short supply.

"Sorry for being suspect, mac, usually humans ain't in the great outdoors for rest and relaxation."

"Just because some people have lost the ability to appreciate majestic nature doesn't mean we all have." He raises an eyebrow at that and side steps the comment on ratings. He's been shot at on several occasions. He can handle worse than PG... but what exactly did that mean?

"Actually-" With a small pop there's suddenly a dove in his hand which he moves gracefully to his shoulder. "I'm rather fond of mother nature." He says as the dove nuzzles against his cheek.

Oh. A magician. Great.

Bugs clapped a bit, watching the dove more then the kid. "Looks like it's fond of you too." He doesn't seem too impressed, Kaito, he's just being polite. The kid hadn't done anything yet to deserve being the butt of a Bugs joke.

It's a pretty amateur trick so Kaito's not insulted by his lack of amazement- especially since Kaito knows he's capable of so much better than a randomly appearing dove. He gently strokes his feathered friend's feathers fondly. "Of course he does. I make it a point not to mistreat animals. It just kinda makes me feel sick to my stomach." The dove coos and he turns his attention back to the rabbit. "A Magician that doesn't treat animals kindly isn't really much of a magician-at least, that's what I think."

"Boy are der a coupla a guys I'd like you ta meet." Bugs is still wary, the last magician he was involved with tried to saw him in half and drive swords through him. Without the magic part.

"Who are ya anyway?" Casual now, the fact that bird brain isn't flying off is relaxing the rabbit.

"If they're guilty of animal cruelty, I can assure you they wouldn't want to meet me." He once risked getting caught to save the life of one the people obsessed with catching him's dog. It's best left up to the imagination how he'd handle someone that mistreated animals.

"Kaito Kuroba." He says, clearly proud of his name. "My dad was the best magician in the world- Toiichi Kuroba. Not that the name would ring any bells. Probably a different universe entirely."

"Hmm, I dunno if that sort of thing would count."

Okay, Bugs can't help a little grin at that pride. Nice to hear it in such a sorta innocent way. It's not bragging, which is rare from a teen. AT least any teen Bugs has met.

"Bugs Bunny. And ya right, the only 'Best Magician in the World' I ever met was Houdini."

"You've met Houdini?" Kaito just blinks, of course, he'd heard of the guy. What magician hadn't? "Too bad you couldn't meet my dad. He's was one of those guys everyone couldn't help but love and knew how to keep the audience guessing." There is a touch of sadness in Kaito's voice as he describes him.

"Nah. I was drawn way afta his time, but I know a parody of him." He scratches his chin and shrug. Eh, so what if that didn't count. Bugs grins though, sounds like the kids pop was a real entertainer. That was half the problem he had with magicians. No spunk or finesse for the acting part of their shows.

He notes the sad tone and looks mildly concerned, "Uh...sounds like he was a great guy, kid."

He just offers a some-what sad smile, something much deeper hidden in his eyes. "Yeah..." Despite the fact it's been eight years since the 'accident' it still hurts all the same. Therefore he latches on to a subject change to avoid the subject farther. "...Drawn?"

He'll take that subject change! He's not heartless or anything but he just isn't really good with sad exchanges. Not yet anyways. Bugs gives a little grin.

"Yeah. Drawn." Time for playing hard to get~

Somehow... Kaito feels like this is something he should know. Or does know... something familiar nagging at the back of his mind but he draws a complete blank. "You mean.. drawn, drawn? Like Someone picked up a pen and piece of paper?"

Nice pun, narration.

Bugs just shrugs before letting his eyes go half lidded, "More like a pencil and brush but you're on the right track." Come on, Kaito. No rabbit looks like Bugs does. Regardless of weird universe rules; even other talking rabbits are probably still normal bunny sized.

He gets it surprisingly quickly. He's not completely against the idea of things being unexplainable. When you suddenly find yourself victim to very real dark magic complete with voodoo dolls... you kinda learn to just go with it. Not to mention criminal organizations hunting after a jewel that might not even exist.

"So... if you were drawn with a pen and brush-I'll assume that's a paint brush or something to add color- you'd have to be a cartoon character." And yeah, that would definitely explain a few things.

"Give da kid a cigar." Now that it's out of the way, Bugs relaxes back against nothing, "Pretty sharp, Sam." Of course it explains a few things. It should explain a lot actually.

Nice to not have to explain what a cartoon is though. Bugs is grateful for that.

Kaito just grins like the trouble maker he truly is. He wasn't a criminal master mind for nothing. And he's pretty sure not even the detective could get that right.

"Since I was able to correctly guess, I wonder if you might do me a favor? Nothing serious or big-just don't mention to anyone you met a spiky haired magician. I'm kind of laying low."

"Wit all the folks that come through here," His voice changes a little, obviously he's agreeing but he keeps a sarcastic tone to it. Just to emphasize.

"I could never remember every single one of you."

Being a pro at the reading between lines Kaito just smirks. "Thanks, Truthfully, you're the only person I've shown my face too. And If I don't tread carefully I could get in some big trouble back home." That trouble being jail.

Oh, he's going to like you. Anyone who can get a joke without the explanation is aces in Bugs' books. "I'd ask what kinda trouba, but...might be easier if I didn't know everyting."

"Heh, probably. Plausible Deniability is usually a good thing." Which is also a hint that that trouble is likely something to do with the law.
