Another day, another arrival, so it seemed. A teenage girl, dressed in red with hair of red. Soaked, as it always was with newcomers. This one seemed freaked out as she looked around - as often happened.

"What on earth? This... I've never been here before. And I shouldn't just... Wait, how did I... Why am I wet?!"

And then, she looked to find someone to get answers from - a sensible first reflex, really. Though she looked to be not just confused, but angry - which could cause problems...

Who would be the first to chance it talking to the latest newcomer to Vatheon?

Boy? I'm taller than you! Serph was unperturbed by the stranger's obvious annoyance; many people who arrive in Vatheon arrive confused and wary at being in unfamiliar territory. Her words definitely identified her as a newcomer then.

His answer was calm and his words spoken evenly. "This is a city not of your world called Vatheon. You have been pulled here, like many others."

The answer to the first question seemed pretty obvious to Serph -- after all, this place didn't look anything like what he was familiar with -- but maybe it wasn't to her. Or maybe she was just venting her frustrations. That wouldn't be surprising.

So, instead, he answered her second question by gesturing towards the massive coral in the centre of the Plaza.

"People believe the coral brings others from different worlds here. No one knows why."

Serph dug out a brochure from his pockets and held it out. It's a bit creased and folded, though, and didn't actually say anything about fairies. "This will explain more."

Why verbally explain everything when he's got a piece of paper that can do all that for him?

Serph, too, had been surprised at how prepared people were for newcomers. But it wasn't Serph who'd made the brochure.

"The paper was given to me when I arrived." And he'll be wanting that brochure back after Rita's done with it, thank you. Serph continued to keep his voice calm and even as he spoke. "I keep it with me, in case my comrades arrive as you have."

Oh. Wait a moment.

Serph walked past and stood in front of her, a hand held out for that brochure. Still, he offered, "I can show you around the city."
