You're walking taller than you should
Characters: Fox, open
Location: Plaza
Time: Midday. Or any time, really.
Style: Any
Status: Open
All right, he would admit it. The time he had spent in this city felt something like a vacation. Sure, he had to settle in. Get used to the idea of whatever controlled this place not doing things according to his schedule. See that it wasn’t—for the most part—hostile. But after everything sank in, his days were full of sleeping late and no obligations.
Fox did have his limits, though. And he could feel them edging up. The closest things to interests that he’d picked up were watching the plaza for new arrivals, and just exploring the city in general. The former felt hopeless, but he was less keen on the latter until he had a little more distance from the craziness that was the last week. So here he was, not really watching for newcomers so much as wandering the plaza. This was easily the part of the city that he knew the best, almost as well as his own apartment. Heck, those first few days he’d practically lived here.
. . . yeah. He needed a hobby.
Some people found jobs, he knew. But Fox wasn’t so far gone that he was ready to resort to that out of mere boredom. Would he be though? There was a bitter thought . . .

So, perhaps that is a point of interest for Fox, so long as he isn't unobservant enough to step on her.]

He was getting used to the strange sights, but a feral mouse walking around with fabric still stood out. He couldn't help but stare.]

She drops a spool of thread, grumbling to herself in frustration.]
no subject
Uh. Excuse me?
no subject
[She turns to look, though when she sees him, she freezes.
PREDATOR...]
no subject
Sorry. It just looked like you could use some help?
no subject
S-sorry, ah, that's rude of me. My name is Mrs. Brisby...
no subject
So, uh. Can I...?
no subject
[She starts juggling her stack, offering the spools and needle and keeping the fabric.]
no subject
Where are we going?
no subject
I mean, only if it's not too much trouble...
no subject
[It wasn't any trouble, really. Distractions like this were exactly what Fox had been hoping for.]

Ah. That sounds. Nice.
[He might have asked her how well she made it by here. But since it looked like she was the more experienced with this place, if anything he should have been asking her for advice.]
no subject
It was very nice... I can't wait to go back. I haven't given up on going home just yet!
no subject
[Granted, some of them came back...]

Today Krystal ventured down to the Plaza, going to get some supplies for the week. She was dressed rather casually, but she was still very much recognizable, as she had continued to wear her tiara and cuffs on her tail.
However, she was actually unaware of Fox's presence, currently figuring out what to plan for her meals. Hmm... Hmm... ]

Wait just a moment. She double-takes back to the fountain, grasping onto her bag. Was that really him? She stays still, but calls out to him. ]
I-- Fox?
no subject
Krystal?
no subject
She smiles, wasting no time to draw closer to him. Someone familiar was here, someone that she knew. It was so relieving to see someone else here. ]
When did you get here?
no subject
I, uh. Just a few weeks ago
no subject
Really? I've been here since the beginning of this month.
no subject
[He might find it funny how normal he was trying to act if he wasn't right in the middle of it. Fox could not have describe what he was feeling at the moment.]
no subject
Smiling, she sets down her bag. The vixen figured she would be standing here for more time than she had imagined.]
Interesting to know that. I suppose the curse that had appeared could have made it a bit difficult for us to even find each other, but I... [There's a small pause, and her tail slightly wags.] I'm glad that you're here.
no subject
I..uh. How have you been? Since getting here.
no subject
[Her tone is teasing, she only means well, even if she's can tell that the air around them is wavering on awkward. She doesn't want it to be like that, though.]
no subject
[He looks to the side and scratches his neck. Was there a better place that this meeting could even go?]
no subject
Good, I wouldn't have wanted to come here and seen that you were getting yourself into trouble.
no subject
So, uh...
no subject
Hm?
[Okay Fox, stop being awkward.]
no subject
[What. What was he saying.]
no subject
[Ahah...hah.]
Maybe take a walk about the park, or relax in one of the cafes?

[The bags that she had almost forgotten about were not to be forgotten any longer, she reaches down and grabs them.]
For now, I must depart, I still have some shopping to do before I head back to my apartment.
[Before she actually does leave, she says one last thing to him.]
You know how to reach me when you're ready. I have such a flexible schedule as of late.

[What just happened. Something was definitely odd, but he couldn't quite place it. It seemed that he was going to be getting the opportunity to figure it out, though...]
