A song of healing
Who: Sheik and anyone that hears him
When: February 14th, sunset
Where: The highest perch he could find, near the plaza
Style: I'll match!
Status: Open~
[The aftermath of the curse had been painful for many, and the Sheikah felt the need to help the city. The memories of being a siren were far too fresh, so he chose this form to do it. Finding the highest spot that he can, he takes out his harp and sings the Song of Healing, praying for all those with heavy hearts right now to find some peace. His voice is soft and low, but it carries across the plaza with ease, seeking out those that might need to hear it.]

It is not your presence that hurts. You cannot let yourself feel badly for that.

[Color creeps into Sola's face the longer the hug continues, feeling both comforted and something he has yet to learn to describe, his vocabulary on such things as emotion being quite narrow.]

She doesn't make that face because of you. She misses the hero, and that isn't your fault.

N-no, but I mean... I just don't want to see it. [His voice trails off, muffled into Sheik's shoulder as Sola closes his eyes and allows himself to indulge in being petted.]

[This is definitely wrong, but he can't stop. If he can make it better, even just a little bit, then he'll allow himself to do it regardless of the morality.]

Nevermind that Sola's subconscious urges him closer just to put his nose against Sheik's neck. He can smell the clean cotton of the bandages and something else, familiar and comforting but he can't place it just now.]

The replica seems unaware of this, however, relaxing completely against Sheik's shoulder and listening to his voice more through his body than in the air. It's nice, this. It would be nice if he could feel like this always.]

You were playing that song when you first got your ocarina.

[Had Sheik given him the instrument? Or was that before they'd met? His overwrought mind was failing to keep things in order after such a trying several days. Having finally relaxed for the first time since the curse's end, Sola felt as if the life that he had heretofore considered a great burden may not be quite so encumbering. Not if someone like Sheik will hold him and sing.
Is this what Gamzee meant? He's not sure, but there's... something. Something good. Maybe it isn't so hopeless, though it makes Sola blush to admit that even privately in his own mind.
Maybe he can love someone else.]

It isn't long before Sola's asleep in Sheik's arms, curled up against his chest and nose pressed against the Sheikah's neck. Finally, restful sleep.]
