[Dualscar hasn't actually accosted Dolorosa at her hive before. Always in the past, he's invited her out, or they've met up serendipitously, but it's long overdue for him to check out where his new matesprit actually lives, and how.

So he's at her door, knocking confidently, with a little something hidden in his captchalogue.]

[It is a surprise when she opens the door to find him there, and it shows on her face - the brief widening of her eyes and the light flush that touches her cheeks for a moment.]

Cronus... How unexpected. [But she's not displeased, if her tone and the kiss she plants on his cheek are anything to go by.] To what do I owe this honour?

I can't come see you just on account a wwantin' to see you? [He leans closer to kiss her, and presses a bunch of cut flowers into her hands]

Of course-- [It's complete surprise that makes her pause half-way through speaking when those flowers are given to her. She blushes, briefly but visibly, and brushes one thumb over the delicate petals of one bloom.

His visit may be unexpected but such a sweet gesture is even more so.]

Oh.. thank you.. these are beautiful..

[He beams, enjoying the sight of her Jade-coloured blush. He raises a hand and touches the back of his fingers to her cheek, caressing her gently]

I'm glad you like them.

[Her head tips towards the touch against her cheek and she lifts her free hand to curl her fingers around his.]

Would you like to come in..?

I wwould! [His fins perk up and fan out, pleased that she's responding to his masculine wiles. He squeezes her hand and enters her hive] I guess I wwasn't interruptin' anything.

[Yes, the wiles, that's exactly it. Her gaze follows him as he enters the hive, the door closed behind him before she moves to follow.]

No, you were not. [She heads to the kitchen to put the flowers in water.] Though I had been thinking of taking a walk up to the island. Perhaps you would join me?

[He nods, offering her a smile and leaning casually against the kitchen counter as he waits for her to put his flowers in water.]

A wwalk up to the island wwould be lovvely. Wwe could evven go for a swwim, if you're wwillin' to. [He doesn't know her opinion on swimming, but he's got a lot of experience with helping land dwellers NOT to drown now, so he's pretty confident.]

[She arranges them to her liking and sets them in pride of place on the window sill, then looks over to him with a wry smile.]

Swimming? I never did learn how.

[He smiles, pleased as he looks at the flowers. Score one for Dualscar - she obviously likes them]

From wwhat I understand, most land-dwwellers can say the same. [He offers his hand] I taught Signless howw to swwim. I can do the same for you.

Hm... [She trusts him enough for this, she supposes.]

Very well. I wish to learn.

[He takes her hand, smiling, and turns towards the door]

Let's go, then.

[She squeezes his hand lightly, following him out. If anyone would be able to teach someone how to swim, a seadweller could.]

[He keeps hold of her hand as they head to the elevator and up to the beach. He wraps his arm around her waist as they head up the elevator, and he enjoys her warmth and closeness. He's going to enjoy her warmth even more in the water, he's sure.]

You're not nervvous, are you?

Nervous..? No, I am not nervous.

[Perhaps a little nervous, but not on account of him. She's seen the kinds of things that can be found in the water here, and has no wish to run into any of them.]
