Who: N and Hilda
When: July 4, 2013 - Afternoon
Where: Their Apartment
Style: [ brackets ]
Status: Closed
[ She had felt fine up until this morning. She'd heard things about people being afflicted with a sudden cold feeling, but she hadn't had anything happen to her until it had all compounded and hit her today. So, now, she was huddled underneath a blanket, with a sweater on.
She was still freezing.
Hilda was glad that none of her Pokemon were out of their Pokeballs at the current moment, because she knew all six of them would be worried for her. She didn't want that.
She was worrying, though. She hadn't seen or heard from N all day, and she knew he probably didn't know if she was okay, either. So, she forced herself up and out of her bed, hair down and a complete mess, blanket still wrapped around her small, shivering frame and dragging on the floor around and behind her ... she walked to his room, pushing open his door a little to check in on him. Maybe he was hit with the same thing? ]
N ...?

N ...?

When she returned, he groaned quietly, but nodded underneath the blankets and slowly sat up, messy hair even worse off than it normally was.]

The shivers had subsided for little bit as she touched N, so when she went to hand him the bowl of soup, she wasn't shivering anymore. She was thankful for that, but she knew that the cold had come back pretty quickly before ... ]
Be careful, it's still hot.
no subject
Thank you. I don't think I've ever been this ill before...
no subject
[ She sighs, and stands up again. ]
I'm going to go get some cold medication for you, okay? I'll be back as soon as I can.
no subject
Alright. I'll be here...
no subject
Hey, so ... do you think you would be up to going to visit the coral sometime soon? Ms. Saber is saying that touching it should cure anything you've got ...
... Granted, I'll probably get the medication for you anyway. You can never be too prepared and all.
no subject
[That's right, it was said that it could heal and cure illness... but the idea of moving right then only made him whine like a child, burying his face in the pillow.]
I'd rather have the medication... maybe when I feel a little better... ?
no subject
Okay. Rest up, I'll be back soon.
[ And with that, she leaves.
She returns half an hour later, and the effects of the curse have obviously settled in again. As she returns, she's shivering. A lot. It's hard to move, even, but she has a motivation for it and damn it all if she's going to let a case of the shivers ruin that. ]
I-I'm back ...

Her voice almost doesn't register, but the door closing does seem to rouse him again, prompting him to sit up. Almost immediately he regrets it - the cold has set back in, and even though the soup had helped some earlier, he's nearly right back to where he was when this started.]
... y... you're cold again...
[He motions with his hand, ignoring his own discomfort for the moment.]
Come here...
no subject
[ She's far too worried about him to even think about her own well-being right now. She takes one of the pills from the box, but she has trouble removing it from the package due to her freezing, shaking hands. ]
no subject
[Okay, no. He can't just lay there and watch her fumble with trembling hands. If it were anyone else maybe, but it's Hilda...
Pushing himself up further, he lets out a groan and slowly manages to get out of bed, everything aching and cold. Sheer stubbornness keeps him moving in spite of that, though, and soon enough he's standing in front of her, wrapping his hands around hers.]
no subject
N ... get back into bed.
[ The demand is pretty weak, though. ]
no subject
[N... maybe you shouldn't... ask it like that... ?]
no subject
... But you need the medicine.
no subject
no subject
Okay.
no subject
[Relieved, he tugs her back to the bed and sits down, pulling the medicine from her hands so he can open the package.]
no subject
Do you need any help with that?
no subject
[faintly, he smiles at her, glancing up through a mess of green hair]
I'm a little warmer again. Logically speaking, it seems that the answer to at least part of our problem is physical contact.
no subject
Do you need any water or anything to take it with? I can get some for you really quick ...
[ Her worry for his condition was overriding caring for her own well-being again. She realized this and quickly added to that statement. ]
A-Ah, I promise, I'll come right back to bed after I get it, if you need it.
no subject
[Traveling alone, he didn't often have the supplies it took to really survive out there, and he favored his Pokemon over his own health, so he had gotten used to taking medication dry. He was about to do it that way when she spoke.]
Yes, that would be nice. Thank you.
no subject
[ She moved off of the bed and made her way to the kitchen. She returned a few moments later with a glass of water. She handed it to him carefully. ]
There. Be careful not to drop it, okay?

For a moment, he just lays there, but something compels him to put his arms around her.]
Is this alright?
