Happy Birthday Aya!~ Sssh. It's Not Really!

Throughout the day, Selphie makes several announcements on the SFC to promote the flower shop. There's free cake there and, also, free hugs. Cake usually draws a crowd but, if like Selphie, you are suffering with the cold, then hugs will work too.

Today, outside the shop, is an abundance of multicoloured balloons, but more red than any other colour. There's really loads - you could probably take one or two and there still would be plenty. Inside, there are less balloons, but streamers criss crossing all over the shop. By the counter is a huge birthday cake already cut into slices. It's decorated with edible balloons. It's bright in there, with the unmistakeable vibe of a birthday party.

But it isn't a birthday party. Of course, not. Aya strictly said no parties. There're no banners saying Happy Birthday anywhere. The word 'birthday' isn't anywhere. So it's not a party, just Aya's shop decorated like a party, with the entire of Vatheon invited to come along.

So come along, get some cake, have a cuddle, and give birthday wishes to the birthday boy!

"I'm sure Selphie would say it wasn't a birthday party at all." Because he had told her he didn't want a party.

The hug was unexpected, but since it was Shiemi, Aya would oblige with reciprocating it. "You don't need to get me anything. Thank you."

"... that would be just like her, wouldn't it." Shiemi couldn't help but giggle; it would be Selphie who'd celebrate in her own way despite Aya's insistence otherwise.

"I know, but still! I want to because you're a friend, Aya-san..." And she's beaming with sincerity as she says it.

"It would, yes." Aya knew Selphie meant well, at least.

Shiemi being so sincere about her statement makes him smile. He could remember a time where such a thing was abundant, along with happiness. It was nice to know that it still existed. "Thank you, Shiemi. I really appreciate that."

"You're welcome... you don't have to thank me, though. It's no problem to me..." Shiemi giggled, then trailed off as she turned to look into the flower shop.

"... that said, I think she might have overdone it with the balloons and streamers. It looks like you could trip in there if you weren't careful..."

"Ah, she did. Let's just hope it isn't that bad inside." He would rather not have to take down some of her hard work. Aya started to make his way inside.

"I don't think it will be? It looks very cu--aaaaaaah!"

... WHUMP

Oops. That... sure is a Shiemi now sprawled out on the floor after heading inside and missing a streamer that was right next to one of the flower displays.

... please make sure she doesn't hurt herself trying to get up, Aya-san...

"Shiemi!" Aya went over to her and helped her up, making sure to push aside any streamers she could trip on again. "Are you alright?"

"I'm... okay, Aya-san... really!

Though... I didn't know you had triplets..."

She clearly isn't; she's a little dizzy from that fall, and as she takes his hand to get up it's all she can do before Shiemi slightly collapses into Aya for a moment. She shuts her eyes instinctively, trying to will away the pain...

"Triplets...?" Aya looked down at Shiemi and caught her before she could stumble to the ground. "You're not okay. Let me take you to the infirmary."

"Mmmmn..." Shiemi groaned again as she opened her eyes once more, this time not so dizzy anymore. Though her head still hurt.

"I'm okay... I think..." She sighed quietly. "I'll be fine...! Though... how bad's it look...?"

"It looks like you've hit your head," Aya said with a wry smile, poking the red spot. "You're not allowed to work today."

"Ah..." Shiemi sighed quietly; well, that defeated the purpose of coming to work. Though...

"Can I at least stay here, though? As long as I'm being careful, that works out... right?"

Aya looked to her, trying to see just if she could do that with her injury.

"...sure. But if you're feeling ill or anything, then you're going home."

There's a slow nod from Shiemi as she settles down into a nearby chair.

"Understood, then. If I start feeling weird I'll head straight home. Promise."
