One cold troll in dire need of some help

[It didn't take long for the contact with his matesprit and moirail to become ineffectual against the curse currently afflicting Vatheon. Thinking something might be wrong with him he'd done the first thing that had come to mind, and poked at the coral a few times.

It hadn't helped.

Now, he's sitting next to the coral, curled up and hunched over in a miserable, pointy little ball of awkward gangly limbs. Each minute or so, a violent shiver runs through his frame, shaking his shoulders and forcing his teeth to click together. He doesn't know what's happening, but he's pretty fucking sure he doesn't like it.

Anyone want to help a cold troll out?]

"I know," he mumbled, shuffling as much of himself under the coat as he could and then leaning against the little oliveblood. He started feeling better right away, which only led to him shuffling closer to her. "It thtopped working."

"You probably hugged the same people for too long. You need to change to someone new every now and then." She pauses to snuggle him a little, seeing as he was moving closer to her anyway. "How do you feel about a nice big cuddle?"

"Hmph." He shifted up close to her, leaning against her shoulder. Most people, he wouldn't be so easy around, but Nepeta was different. She'd been more patient with him than most of his friends were.

"I gueth that'th ok."

"Okay, then!" she says happily, pleased at his trust in her. She knows he's not fond of being touched by just anyone!

She lets him lean on her and nuzzles at his fluffy hair a little bit, her arms rubbing at his sides in a good old cuddle. He should be feeling nice and warm again in no time.

Mituna squirmed a bit, but more or less settled into the cuddling. It wasn't so bad, and he definitely felt much warmer than he had. For a moment, he let out a pleased-sounding little purring noise.

"I don't think I like thith curthe."

She eases up every time he squirms, and by the time he settles down she's just holding him comfortably, keeping the two of them warm while making it easy for him to pull away if he wants to.

Though she does have to say that the purring sound he makes was adorable.

"I don't mind lots of hugs, but making people cold just so that they'll cuddle is really mean," she agrees. It certainly wasn't fair on someone like Mituna who's uncomfortable with being touched except by a very few people.

The yellowblood made a disgruntled sound of agreement. So far, he'd managed to avoid having to have contact with any complete strangers, but this was still far too much touching than he would normally tolerate.

Of course, his ability to tolerate contact tended to fluctuate from hour to hour, and depended heavily upon how he perceived the intentions of the person doing it.

"You've been cuddling lotth of people I bet," he commented.

"Uh huh!" she tells him, mood immediately improving as she remembers the copious amounts of cuddles she's been giving and receiving this week. "I've cuddled almost everyone I know! And some people I didn't. So many hugs, Mituna!" she says, laughing and draping casually against him. Now that he's warming back up to his usual temperature he's rather warmer than her, and she likes that a lot.

"Ehehe." She was cooler than him, like Latula was, and he liked that too. He rested his chin against the top of her head and kept one arm loosely around her shoulders.

"What d'you think it'th for?" What could possibly be achieved by forcing people to touch?

Aww, that was so sweet. And meant quite a lot coming from him, holding her voluntarily like this. She's more than happy to rest against his side, keeping him toasty warm.

"I'm not sure! But I think someone had said that the curse are to power the coral through our emotions. And I guess there are lots of feelings running around about people having to hug each other. Some will be happy about it, and some angry or uncomfortable..."

She'd managed to gain his trust by just being herself. It was no mean feat to gain it, though what Mituna thought of people didn't fluctuate as often as his moods did. Once he decided he liked a person, that was usually it.

Even if they were mean to him later.

"It'th a panfuck," he commented. "But thith ith ok."

Well, there was very little chance of Nepeta being mean to him, now or later, or ever. She likes him too much, and besides, being mean to Mituna would be far too much like kicking a puppy.

"A lot of the curses are," she agrees with him. "So this is the best way to deal with them, finding the way to try and make them as okay as pawsibble!"
