Chapter 4 | Bar Fights

Who: Angelo and anyone in Vatheon.
Where: One of the local restaurant bars.
When: Early afternoon into the rest of the day.
Style: First/Action.

[Good afternoon Vatheon. Should your character be walking by one of the local restaurants, there will be a loud ruckus going on inside. Why? Because our dashing hero Angelo has unintentionally started a bar fight. The scene shows screaming people (both men and women) who are running out in terror while others are joining in the brawl (throwing furniture, punching, kicking, etc), broken objects (windows, chairs, drink glasses, etc) and lots of shouting. Where is Angelo among this you ask? He's sitting on the bar counter watching everything. Instead of going work at the host club or being around people much these days, this is what he's doing and the fight itself? Not entirely his fault per se. So if your character wants to watch the scene, try to break it up, or even talk to him by coming inside among the madness... It's all up to you!]

That sounds bad... I'm sorry.

[He doesn't know what it would be like to live with someone like that. It doesn't seem fair, and he wants to protest for Angelo's sake. Even so, he doesn't want to let hope just die without any effort to save it.]

If you thought there was a chance, though, would you take it?

[beauchevalier]

No, I gave him a chance to redeem himself once. He betrayed it and now I don't think I could ever do it again.

[He puts his face into his hands.]

Why did he ever have to come here? Of all the people... Why him?

[redcladidealist]

Even if it looked like maybe he changed?

[He reaches out to put a comforting hand on Angelo's shoulder.]

I don't think any of us had a choice about coming here, Angelo. The coral brought him here.

[beauchevalier]

It's all falsehoods and lies with my brother. He'll never change.

[He keeps his face in his hands.]

Why did I ever take pity on him? I guess I still held onto small hope he'd change if I saved him from death.

[redcladidealist]

[It hurts to see his friend like this. His grip tightens a little with sympathy.]

People can change, Angelo. Don't give up hope. Just... I guess just be careful not to let him hurt you, either. It's possible to do both. Keep working on him. Maybe he just needs some more time.

[beauchevalier]

[He lifts his head up and has a stern expression.]

I'm done with hope and trying. I won't let him have his way here as he did back home either. I'll do anything I can to stop him even if I must use force.

[redcladidealist]

[Lloyd makes a frustrated sound in the back of his throat. Angelo just isn't getting it. It doesn't seem to matter how much Lloyd tries to hammer the point home that hope is one of the most important things people can have. He seems determined to just give up.

Unbidden, his own words echo back at him. Maybe he just needs more time.

Resolve starts to form. Maybe Angelo's given up, but I won't. He'd just have to keep trying.]

Stop him from what?

[beauchevalier]

[Lloyd, you are speaking to someone who is as stubborn as an ox. No matter how hard you try, he'll refuse to see your point.]

From being how he was in our world. He'll do anything to make me or others suffer and use any type of method to do it.

[redcladidealist]

[Lloyd's been taught stubbornness by a dwarf who beats iron and rocks for a living. There's no way he's giving up just yet. Clearly he just needs more time.]

Well, I'll definitely keep my eye on him then. If he tries to hurt someone, I'll stop him. You don't need to worry about that too much, okay?

[beauchevalier]

[He gives his friend a small smile when he hears those words.]

...Thank you Lloyd.

[redcladidealist]

[Lloyd smiles back, glad to see that smile, no matter how small.]

Hey, what are friends for?

[Putting the matter behind him for now, Lloyd nudges Angelo to stand back up.]

Come on, we haven't done anything in a while. Let's go have some fun.

[beauchevalier]

[He nods and stands up.]

What did you have in mind?

Wanna wrap this up?

[redcladidealist]

I dunno.

[His tone is cheerful, unbothered by that fact.]

But I bet we'll figure something out if we go looking for it!

[Two young men looking for trouble fun? There's no way they'll turn up empty-handed.]

Yup!

[beauchevalier]

Well then shall we be off?

[He grins and begins walking off in another direction.]
