[ That topiary garden was most definitely not in the forest clearing yesterday but hey, it's up now and looks to be the sort that should have taken weeks to set up. There are rosebushes in both white and red (some of those red ones look red. How odd.) as well as several pieces of topiary shaped like leaping hares and mock turtles and dormice. Amongst the topiary in a clearing are white tables and chairs set for what seems to be for tea. The maids of the cafe are dressed in blue and lace, along with matching striped white and blue stockings and mary janes. It seems the Master of Ceremonies has chosen Alice In Wonderland as the underlying theme for the maid cafe's debut event.

The food is, as well, similarly themed. Tea comes with delicate little sugar rabbits. Pastries are adorned with tiny playing cards. Feel free to order whatever your little heart pleases.

Mephisto himself is seated in one of the chairs in the corner, eyes trained on the girls and any incoming would-be patrons. He's calmly sipping his tea, stirring in one of those sugar rabbits and looking quite pleased with the way things seem to have turned out. There's a small sign on his table that reads "Kleine Engel - now hiring".

When evening comes, paper lanterns begin to surround the parameter of the topiary garden and setup. Fireflies start to come out, adding a surreal glow about the area.

Care to take a load off? Have some tea and cake? Inquire about any open positions?]

[That deserves an eyebrow raise, because it's amusing to hear. Someone corrupting Grell? She smiles easily to him before sitting proper, picking up her tea.]

That's a bit laughable, in all honesty. [She sips the tea, quite enjoying its flavor.]

[ Have a smile back as he sets his teacup down. ]

Is he always like this, by the way?

You only think that because you're not aware of my potential. [Grell sets hers down as well.] It's not very nice to judge a book by its illustration, and yes, he is always like this.

Not aware, or rather have yet to witness it with my own eyes.

[ Have a long suffering sigh though. ]

Goodness. How one expects a blossom such as yourself to bloom under his gaze, I'll never know...

[She giggles before shrugging.] I've endured worse, but I simply refuse to endure any more. I'll handle him, but in the meantime... [She pokes at the sign on his table.]

Tell me about this, hmm~?

[ He'll be watching whatever explosion comes off that confrontation... that should be fun. But for now, he thought you'd never ask. ]

I've been meaning to relaunch my cafe, you see and I'm in need of interested and willing parties to staff it with. I don't suppose you're familiar with the concept of a maid cafe...?

Maid cafe... [Grell's drawing a blank as she thinks over what such a place could be.] Are you offering maid services?

Look around you!

[ And there's a grand sweeping gesture at the entire topiary garden around them. The tea servings, the locals he'd roped into wearing the lace frills and skirts, the entire theme eating. ]

This, my dear, is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to showing you the grandeur of Japan's finest maid cafes. We offer exceptional service and promise a memorable afternoon for anyone to be treated as well as any noble!

[ Sitting back down. ]

In other words, I'm sure you've heard of the Golden Victory under the guidance of a Mister Angelo? Think host club except geared toward male clientele.

[Grell does indeed look around, and sees waitresses in maid outfits, but doing little cleaning, save for wiping down a table.]

So this has little to do with cleaning... [She's beginning to see the meaning of this cafe.] Golden Victory? Ah, I believe I've visited that fine~ establishment before! [And she sighs wistfully. It was a wonderful night.]

What are the requirements of working here? [Grell leans forward a bit, with a gleam in her eyes.] Those uniforms are adorable~!

[ There's a small smile for that. Yup. Hook line and sinker. He needs more staff. These locals have such dull personalities. ]

All you need to do is ask. We were due for a revival after the flood. I'd found a place but it needs cleaning now.

[ Long suffering sigh. ]

We do work closely with Angelo on occasion. If they have need of additional staff or any citywide event, we do provide.

[ Swirling his tea now thoughtfully. ]

Will I be expecting you at any future events...?

Hmm? What sort of events? [Grell sits back in her chair, looking curious.]

Themed events... things such as what we have here though perhaps more elaborate if we have more staff...

[ Another casual gesture around him. ]

Then there should be no problem with my participation. [She took up her tea again.] So when do I get my uniform?

[Because that's all that matters.]

[ He appreciates your enthusiasm. That sounds like the perfect thing for the cafe. ]

I suppose given enough interested parties we could resume operation within a week and a half. Will that suit you, my dear?

[A whole week?! That's too long, and it shows on her face.]

Won't I need to try it on, at the least?
