Well, could be worse -- at least he knows some good riddles. He pads across a narrow game trail, slender tail swishing with irritation.]

[The Big Bad Lombax made sure to turn with the Sphinx. He wasn't about to let him get behind him that easily. But Shinra was not something that particularly perked his interests to eat. Hmm...decisions, decisions.]

[Shinra pauses in his rotation and raps his claws against the ground, considering the proposition. It was certainly an interesting offer; most of his victims would have tried in vain to run away or wasted valuable energy trying to fight him by now. A second riddle was an intriguing alternative.]

An interesting idea. What do you propose to wager? Your life's already on the table.

How about this. If I lose the next riddle, you get to eat me and I'll just lay down and let you do it. If I guess it, we go separate ways. Deal?

[The Lombax was sure he might be able to win but there was the risk of losing and being eaten. And he hadn't found Red yet and he wasn't willing to die before finding that beautiful girl.]

This might be better for him the long run: Shinra's very aware of the physical disadvantage he has fighting this giant lug of a creature. He already answered the first riddle incorrectly; the cards are stacked in his favor. Plus, he likes this guy's flair.]

[His lips split into an intimidating grin as he sinks onto his haunches, already in search of a good question.]

If you don't feel well, what do you probably have?

[He tilts his head to one side as he waits for an answer.]

[Okay. Time to actually use his brain. He could do this. The first thought that came to his mind was illness but that couldn't be right. Too obvious. He needed one that worked...it was both literal and not right?

The Big Bad Lombax began to pace back and forth. If you don't feel well, what do you probably have? Beside being sick how else did you feel? With your hands and stuff right?

...Wait. That was it!]

Gloves on?

His lips split into a smirk as he bows his head into a nod, conceding defeat.]

Second time's the charm, it seems. If you don't feel well, it's because you're wearing gloves; you are correct.

[His mane settles and his claws slowly recede as his fighting instinct fades, leaving an expression of vague disinterest on his face.]

[Ratchet smirks at the Sphinx. He totally won and he knew it.]

[His smile seems a bit forced as he briefly shakes his head. Every loss is a bit of a hit to his pride, and he's an extremely proud creature. Still, a deal's a deal.]
