I’ve been testing how strong my will to act is
Who: N, Zoroark and anyone wandering around their area
Where: Right on the beach
When: Early morning, April 27th
Status: OPEN
[Somewhere on the beach, a Pokemon is stretching his arms out like a human getting ready to work out. He looks somewhat concerned, though, even as he moves about, and soon enough he's joined by a certain lanky, green haired teen.]
Yes, I'm sure. It won't do to have either of us get lazy and unmotivated now.
[Zoroark drops his arms and whines. N is devoid of his usual hat, his wrist cuff and bangles and even his necklace and his Void Cube as well as his white over shirt. He's more or less down to his black turtleneck and his tan pants, which are rolled up at the cuffs to just below his knees showing that he's also lacking shoes. He takes a somewhat awkward stance across from Zoroark, and answers whatever it is that he whined about with a faintly exasperated sigh.]
I'll be fine. Why are you so concerned? We've done this plenty of times before. Now, come on.
[N motions with a hand for Zoroark to come at him.
And it starts. Zoroark charges forward, attempting to tackle N. The teen jumps to the side, surprisingly quick with his dodge. While N lacks physical strength, he does have speed on his side, and it's obvious to anyone who might come across this sight that the two of them have done this before. It's not a battle like Pokemon are used to, but it keeps Zoroark sharp in the event that something does happen.
This will go on until either N gets hit by one of those weakened attacks, or some one comes along to interrupt them.]

So she hunkers down and watches carefully for a moment... and then BAM! Surprise body slam right at Zoroark!
Her trainer for the record is hurrying down towards the beach because omg Delcatty why does he ever let you out of your pokeball he was only taking you and his other mons down to the beach for a picnic. ]
no subject
Of course surprise body slam isn't very fair either, and both Zoroark and Delcatty go flying, leaving N just sort of... gaping.
What. Just happened.]
no subject
Stop... Del... Delcatty...
[ Wally has finally caught up but he's kind of out of breath now from running all this way while carrying a picnic basket and blanket and looks about ready to keel over. ]
Stop...!
[ His pokemon just calmly gets up and starts padding over to him like what she did wasn't any big deal at all. ]
no subject
Congrats, Delcatty, you almost one-hit KO'd a level 50 dark type.
N stares at him, raising a finger to say something, but he decides against it. It's not like he's dead. Instead it comes out as exasperated sigh and a shake of his head before his attention goes back to Wally.]
... are you alright?
no subject
Yeah.. just... minute...
[ ...okay. Okay he's good now. Probably. As soon as he doesn't feel like falling down dead he casts a very disapproving look at his pokemon. ]
Delcatty! That's not how proper battles are conducted! You know better...

She reaches out a hand like she's going to shout at them, but at that moment N shows that he can actually avoid getting hurt. So she stands there for a second, mouth open with awe, hand hanging there in the air, until she slowly lowers it again.
But she's still be standing there, watching with an amazed look on her face, up until they finish their fighting. That's when she finally speaks.]
That was amazing!
no subject
Alright, alright, enough!
[Nanaki's voice reaches them over N's protests, getting them both to stop and look over, Zoroark still holding N up.]
Oh... hello.
no subject
[It's a little awkward to interrupt pokemon hug times like that whoops.]
I didn't know you fought with Zoroark like that.
no subject
It keeps him sharp, in case battles do come up. Since my only other Pokemon here is Zekrom who would cause an unfair balance of power, this is the best way for Zoroark to get exercise.
Well... and we used to do this as children, though it was certainly easier when he was a much smaller Zorua.
no subject
Hm.
[ It's a thoughtful little hm really. Turns out the dog could fight. Interesting. ]
no subject
Neither N nor Zoroark notices their audience, so they keep going, up until the point that N missteps and takes a faceplant in to the sand, narrowly missing a Focus Blast that goes right over his back.
Zoroark whines in concern, but N waves him off with a hand, sitting up with a sputter.]
I'm fine!
no subject
The kid reminds him of Yata when they scrap like that. He's lean... a bit on the lanky side. Good form but in the king's opinion, needs a little polish.
He approaches though when N is down, pulling the cigarette from his lips. ]
You guys sparring?
no subject
Yes, we are.
[N hadn't seen Suoh, but his approach doesn't startle him at all. Zoroark helps him back to his feet and he brushes his clothes off from the sand that accumulated on him.]
Were, I suppose. I think Zoroark solidly won that round.

Shiemi's more or less walking along the beach, slightly lost in thought... it made her feel anxious, not being able to do much of anything to help resolve the problem in the bubble below. She'd been hoping the beachside stroll would help calm her feelings for even a bit...
... then she sees N seemingly being attacked by Zoroark--! ]
L-look out--!
[ Before N can react -- and before Shiemi even knows what she's doing -- she's already running to push N out of the way of Zoroark's weakened tackle--!
... so, Zoroark, how good are your reflexes, because you're totally going to end up bowling over this girl if you don't stop. 8U ]
no subject
Sudden girl in front of N makes him stumble back in shock, before going to grab her arm and try to counteract her attempting to shove him out of the way.]
No, stop!
[And Zoroark's reflexes are usually good, but they don't really account for sudden girl in a kimono appearing in between him and his "target". He tries to stop, but he's already too far in to the attack, and the end result is all three hitting the ground.
N lands with Shiemi on top of him, and Zoroark sort of half-sprawled over both, and let's just say that N's lungs are not happy with this arrangement. He's wheezing pretty bad under that pileup.]
no subject
welp, that could've gone better... Shiemi's groaning, very much dazed after having... something... happen that results in her getting squished by Zoroark.
Any attempts for her to move are haphazard at best due to both her head throbbing and her sense of balance being way too far out of whack to attempt anything other than a pathetic half-crawl that leaves her more stuck between them. orz. ]
Ow... someone get the tape... I think... the flowers are... flying awaaaaay...
[ Shiemi, what are you even talking about in that state of yours... ]
no subject
Zoroark does eventually roll off, and immediately pulls Shiemi to her feet to get her off N.]

[Don't bother looking around, you two. Try up. Marceline had been wandering while it was still dark, but she had caught the sight of the sun starting to rise, so she's still adjusting her large floppy sunhat while sitting crosslegged way up in the air.]
Kick his butt, werefox!
[Because that's what Zoroark is right]
no subject
N seems more distracted by the voice than Zoroark, and while he tries looking for it's source, the fox comes charging at him. The attack narrowly misses the gangly teen as he jumps in to the air, flipping with surprising grace over Zoroark to land on the other side.]
no subject
[Marceline gives a laugh, and then a whoop, still cheering Zoroark on.]
Get him right on his butt!
no subject
[Whoop that's a Focus Blast coming right at you, N.
He dodges it, once again having it narrowly miss him. Zoroark seems amused that N keeps getting distracted, and he's just mean enough to use it as a chance to play dirty.]
-- how can you choose a side when you hardly know a thing about either opponent?!
[N now is not the time to be spouting ideals at some one]

When the knight sees the two, she simply remains off to the side and faces them while watching. There's no reason to stop them; it's obvious they have done this before, and competition is always healthy in Saber's opinion.
The King of Knights is much more interested in the.. creature, though. That kind of looks like what may be a Pokémon? There's no real reason for Saber to feel like like it could be a Pokémon beyond instinct and being hopeful. Wally had told her much about them, and she hadn't expected to see anymore.
If either of the two wrestling look to the knight standing there, she'll nod in a type of greeting, but not speak. Saber would only speak if the wrestling stopped. ]
no subject
Eventually though, a tackle does catch N off guard, and both of them topple over in to the sand. He doesn't seem hurt at all, though, and as a show of affection Zoroark licks N's face happily, causing the teen to laugh.]
Alright, alright, enough!
no subject
These two are close friends.
Not wishing to startle the boy, as he may not have noticed her, Saber introduces herself briefly while she can. ]
Forgive me. I was merely watching your wrestling match. I'm called Saber. [ The blonde raises a hand to her chest and bows her head and shoulder in a very brief, but polite manner. ]
no subject
That's fine. I'm N. This is Zoroark.
[Zoroark waved with a large paw, letting out a noise that sounded somewhere between a growl and a word in greeting.]
