It has been quite the few days, hasn't it been, Vatheon? That conversation appearing on the network --just who had posted that, anyway?-- the experiment and then the collapse of the bubble and the evacuation. It certainly kept everybody's hands quite busy and full. But now that things are looking at little more calm, with far fewer trips needed to ferry things from down in the bubble up to the island, Station Master makes his move, abandoning his post to seek out people. Who? Well, just about anyone. He seems to avoid groups, instead seeking out people while they are alone, whether wrapped up in some activity, or moving from on place to the other. His purpose? Unclear for now, but if you are a foreigner and you are on the island, you may very well find yourself with a sudden Station Master at your side.

How will you respond?

I think you are right. I was planning to have the meeting friday night, at ten o'clock, in the storage building closest to the elevator. I wish it could be sooner, but it is a lot of work informing everybody like this.

It's still better than sitting around doing nothing. Don't worry, I'll be there.

Could I ask you to leave your SFC behind though. If it is all the same to you I would rather not have them present at this meeting.

Huh? Uh, sure. Why? Is there something wrong with it?

[He's never thought twice about carrying his SFC before. It's just a cool device he can use to talk to people whenever he wants to talk. Right?]

Considering these communicators have been given to you by the same people that pulled you here, it is not odd to suspect that they are monitoring these devices and recording all messages that you've made using it.

I had no idea they could do that.

[Though, now that it's been pointed out and he's taken the time to think about it, it does make some sense that it's possible. Hasn't he gone back to find old messages before, or catch up on something he missed?]

We talk all the time, though. That's a lot of people to listen to and watch.

I'm admittedly not entirely sure how they do it. I'm certain they have a system though that singles out certain topics for closer monitoring.

It sounds really complicated. And boring. I'd hate to be the one who had to sit there and listen to everything people say.

[Wait, hey, there's a thought! Lloyd lights up when he gets an idea.]

Maybe we could all talk about stupid things until they get so bored that they stop listening!

[Okay. He can't help but chuckle at that for a moment.]

It is certainly a novel idea. Think you could convince everybody to act stupid enough? I'm sure there are some of you who would baulk at the idea.

[Don't worry, he's got a plan for this.]

If they won't go with it, then the rest of us will just have to say even more stupid stuff to help cover up whatever they say.

That will be an impressive level of stupidity. I look forward to seeing this plan of yours in action.

I'll have to see if I can get other people to go along with it. I'm not sure if I can do it all by myself. Wish me luck, okay?
