It has been quite the few days, hasn't it been, Vatheon? That conversation appearing on the network --just who had posted that, anyway?-- the experiment and then the collapse of the bubble and the evacuation. It certainly kept everybody's hands quite busy and full. But now that things are looking at little more calm, with far fewer trips needed to ferry things from down in the bubble up to the island, Station Master makes his move, abandoning his post to seek out people. Who? Well, just about anyone. He seems to avoid groups, instead seeking out people while they are alone, whether wrapped up in some activity, or moving from on place to the other. His purpose? Unclear for now, but if you are a foreigner and you are on the island, you may very well find yourself with a sudden Station Master at your side.
How will you respond?

[This child is not one that is strange to him. They've interacted before. He had been quite helpful during that odd quest curse.]
Could I talk to you for a few minutes?

[He's always liked the Station Master and his kindly demeanor. Way better than the vaguely creepy priestess or the creepy and mean Head Nurse.
Seriously. Who keeps a slime baby as a pet?]

Incidentally, Station Master's only pet is his beard.]
I know you like helping people, Sola, so I would like to ask you this: would you like to help me fix the bubble?

[He doesn't even really have to think about it. While he does enjoy the island and the open air it affords, Johnny's been having a hard time of it. Being stuck indoors until the sun goes down isn't much fun, and the island is making Johnny rather touchy and sour for other reasons as well.]
What do we need to do?

He gives a little shake of the head though.]
I cannot tell you yet. I would rather tell everybody at once so it can be properly discussed. You understand that, right?
no subject
[Well maybe not everyone, but the vast majority!]

Because I have reason to believe the SFCs you were given cannot be trusted. I would rather do this conversation face to face.
no subject
What? Can't be trusted? Why?

Isn't that simple? Who was it that brought you here and performed these so called curses on you?

[He's quiet for a moment, mulling it over.]
...Station Master, is it true they don't really care about us at all?

[It's something he's been turning over in his head since Zelda mentioned it. It bothers Sola significantly to think that they're only here for as long as they're useful. How do they know if they're useful? If he stops being useful, will they send him back? Will he go back to being dead?
Will he still get to keep his soul?
He doesn't particularly want to find out.]
How do we know if we're useful?

[He wants to know why the Station Master can't just tell him now but it occurs that if the scientists are actively watching and keeping things from the foreigners, then the Station Master might be in danger if he reveals too much. The last thing Sola wants is anyone to get hurt because of him.
...well, maybe the scientists if what they're doing is really bad, but not the Station Master. He's nice.]

[He smiles at the Station Master.]
Thank you for caring about us, sir.

You make it very easy to.
