[You've always wanted a beautiful fairy tale castle in your backyard, right?

No?

Unfortunately, there's one there now. It's real. You can touch it, even go inside of it. The gorgeous structure stands in an open area of the bubble, complete with guards and a sprinkling of townspeople. They don't really move much, though. They just smile and stare blankly at things.

If fairy tale castles aren't your thing, maybe you like life-size doll houses. There's one right beside the castle. Plans for a theme park might be in the works, because there is a carousel too. A menagerie of strange looking animals act as the mounts, painted in bright colors and covered in glitter and gold.

A single person rides this carousel, giggling cheerfully as the music plays.]

Again, again! Heehee!

[Serph's a bit worried when new a new building -- a castle -- springs up in the bubble out of nowhere. Vatheon has strange surprises sometimes, but when they are as often harmless as they are dangerous, it's with some caution that Serph approaches it. The... empty people gives him just as much a sense of familiarity as it gives him a sense of sadness.

The carousel catches his attention -- he's seen one in the city's very own theme park -- but it's the familiar demons that has him wary. But they are toys, nothing more.

Sera, on the other hand...

Serph near the carousel, watching Sera, waiting until it stops.]

[Being lost in the moment, it takes Sera a few moments to realize who's watching her.

Aw, it's Serph! He probably wants to ride the carousel with her.

So, it comes to a halt. There is no operator to make it happen; it is merely Sera's will that it happens. How, it's unknown. Once at a complete stop, Sera slides off of the Taown she's on and races to Serph, all giggles, tugging on his hand.]

Your turn! Let's go!

[There's something strange about all this, but Serph can't quite put his finger on it. But he really can't refuse Sera, so he nods, allowing himself to be lead inside the carousel proper.

To him, it doesn't look like there's terribly much room for two on the mounts.]

You choose one first.

[He intends to pick one that's close to Sera, though.]

[Sera lights up with glee, and races back to the exact same 'horse' she descended from after climbing up onto the carousel. There's no concern for decency right now, so it's a good thing she wears those white shorts under her skirt.]

This one! Ride this one!

[She intends that he do that as well.]

[A Unicorn, huh...? Well, Serph figures she means to ride a Taown in the carousel, rather than the one she's sitting on. So, after turning his head and spotting a nearby Taown mount, two rows behind Sera's Taown, he moves towards it, intending to sit on it.]

[Wait...this setup just won't do. Serph is too far away from her. As the carousel starts up, the unimagineable happens. Four of the mounts, including Sera's Taown and Serph's Unicorn, unhinge from the floor and ceiling of the ride, and gently bob into a new arrangement with a sparkle of harmless sparks as each animal's pole reattaches itself to their new gears.

Now they're right next to each other.]

[The music catches Gale's attention- music usually does, and it's different from the things he usually hears around the base. Rather, it's more akin to the things that might be heard in the amusement park.

It's not surprising, when he leaves the base to find the source of the noise. He doesn't interfere, either, he simply watches as Sera rides the carousel, and waits for her to finish.]

[As Sera's rides upon the Taown, she's all giggles and smiles...until Gale shows up. The way he stares so still and emotionless is unsettling to her. Instead of run away, she clings to the golden pole protruding out of the demonic steed's back and slouches, hiding the lower half of her face with her arm as she watches him.

What does he want?]

[It's not emotionless! Ir it was emotionless, it would be a lot more gray. It is kind of blank, though, considering he's reminded of a certain location within the Junkyard.

It's pretty obvious when Sera notices him, from that slouch, though. His expression flips to a more quizzical one.]

Sera?

[He knows who she is? But she has no idea who he is. His clothes have the same look as what she's wearing, which she doesn't quite understand either. Maybe that's why he feels he should be around her? Where are Serph, Argilla, and Heat when you need them? Usually they pop up when she wants them to.

Instead, she whimpers and keeps an eye on him.]

( all right, so the appearance of the castle wasn't something heat had expected to wake up to -- but then, since being in the bubble he was unfortunately getting used to things not working out a certain way. however, it was the voice beyond it that caught his attention, and propelled his movements beyond the large scale building... to the doll house beyond.

frowning, he was still sure that it was sera he heard in the distance, which is the only reason he kept going. something about this whole set up made him... uncomfortable.

but finally, as he approached the carousel she came into view... )

Sera? ( a pause as he took in the surroundings again -- ) What are you doing?! What is this place?

[Sera's eyes widen when Heat appears before the carousel. Why was he here? He hadn't summoned her, had he? Serph wandered around, but Heat normally kept to himself unless she called on him.

She whimpers, beginning to dismount the demon she's been riding. Maybe she can run out of his range?]

Go lay down!
