Izumo listened to Rin, privately hoping that Maka would soon return. Yeah, she liked Rin well enough (though she'd never admit it), but he was certainly nowhere near as good as explaining things as she was.

"... the headmaster," she said, apparently ignoring the part about everyone else. "Running a maid cafe."

Izumo sighed and brought a hand to her forehead.

"So, how long before all of this inevitably self destructs? Because I can't imagine the people we know are the only crazy people here, and they're bad enough..."

Izumo just stares at Rin, before letting out another "Hmmph."

"I'm going to deck that guy when I see him next..."

Then she turned to Maka.

"It's a stupid thing that guys use to describe characters in shows that act all domineering one minute and then kind and sweet the next minute. I am nothing like that..."

"He'd probably like it, comin' from you."

Was that a cough after that? Or did he say something? It kind of sounded like 'yes you are'...

"It's kinda hard to put in to English but it's like... cold but secretly loving? No wait that's kuudere..."

"The real world is not like an anime, Okumura."

And then she shot him a look that said 'don't you dare think I didn't hear that'.

"...Well that's just...stupid."

Faust called her that, even. She's not cold at all!

"Never mind, let's not continue this discussion. Rin you go take her clothes down to the laundry and I'll set the table for lunch. Kamiki? Would you like to help?"

"Maka, don't listen to Mephisto. Just don't. If anyone likes to treat life like an anime, it's him."

Besides, Rin got the wrong definition anyway.

"Alright, whatever. I'm gonna have to make somethin' since I couldn't make dinner last night, but there's some easy lunch stuff in the fridge."

He grabbed Izumo's uniform, heading out of the room to go take care of the laundry and meet up with them in the kitchen.

"Sure, I'll help..." Izumo replied, actually managing a smile towards Maka.

Then she turned to call after Rin.

"You'd better not mess up my uniform, Okumura...!"
