[The second Sola discovered the nature of the bubble's new game, he hit the ground running. Quests? Potions? The chance to help everyone and be a hero? This is definitely right up his alley!

This week and next Sola can be found running around more than usual. He's even taken up residence in the "Inn" for the duration, sleeping there every night instead of at his own house. The innkeeper will be happier that way, right?

Sola will take on any and every task and in order to find them all, he's going out of his way to talk to everyone, so he can be seen conversing with NPCs a lot. Y'know, when he's not out fighting wolves for their teeth and shanks, delivering a message for a lazy shopkeeper, or cleaning up in front of the bakery every damn day this week (rotten kids!). Of course, some of these quests he needs help with; what's a warrior on a group quest without some support, right?]

((ooc: Sola's all about the level grinding for this curse! If anyone would like to help out/ complete a quest with him, please just comment below with the quest title in the link. I'll set up a few that I've already worked out with people (as such, those are closed to just the people in question). The threads don't have to be the quests themselves, they can just be talking after, or setting up to go out! And don't be surprise if Sola mentions something about the coral to every single one of you.))

[Cleric-turned-thief probably wasn't the most conventional thing, but the quest required stealth, something he had that wasn't a by-product of being a vampire, and it was a quest he could do alone.

His target was hardly the most aesthetically pleasing thing, but people were always crazy about things made from crystal, even if it was an ugly octopus.

He'd already done a quick survey and assessed the skylight on the roof was a good entrance point; his only real obstacle was the person he could hear inside, but he had an idea for that too. Johnny swung his staff and hit a nearby barrel, hard, sending it careening into a pile of similar barrels near the door and causing a satisfying ruckus.

Before the pile had even collapsed, he was on the roof and using every ounce of his cat-like grace to pry up the glass quietly. Hopefully this guard was the sort of person to check around for a while before returning to his post...]

[The sudden cacophony of noise startles Sola and sends him running out of the room and onto the balcony outside. He watches with a groan as four or five barrels go rolling along, bumping into each other and stopping at the railings.

Ugh.

With a sigh, Sola starts rolling barrels back to their proper place and restacking them.]

[With the person gone, the vampire slipped into the room easily enough. It also wasn't so hard to find the ugly statue-really, the things people made out of crystal were completely ridiculous, even something like this thing didn't have a chance of making it onto Johnny's case of assorted odds and ends. Even he had his limits, after all.

The statue itself wasn't too difficult to lift, but it was awkward and he was suddenly faced with the dilemma of trying to get back out the same way he'd come in without being able to fly.

Hmm...maybe if he broke it...that probably wouldn't go over well. He could always rush out on the element of surprise and hope the guard wasn't as strong or fast as him. That was possible...]

[Lucky for Sola he's a world champion barrel stacker - or not really, but he is really pro at doing menial tasks quickly so he ends up reentering the room as the tall figure is examining the statuette in his hands.]

Hey!

[Out come the sword and shield and Sola's running at the intruder without a second thought. He promised he'd guard that, no way he's letting anyone make off with it, even if it is the ugliest statue he's ever seen!]

[Johnny mutters a curse under his breath when he realizes he took too long and he tucks the thing close as he brings his staff up to block the attack.

He never missed flying so much as in that moment, how much easier it would be if he could just fly off with the clunky thing.

In the heat of the moment, it hadn't registered that the voice might sound familiar so he kept his own cool and clipped.]

Are you really guarding this thing? How unfortunate.

...Johnny?!

[At hearing his matesprit's voice Sola's arms drop to his side, dumbstruck.]

What are you doing trying to steal that dumb statue?!

[The look on his face is utterly comical.]

[That...wasn't what he was expecting. Now that he was looking for it, a faint trace of Sola's smell reached him and he lowered his staff.]

Someone asked me to as part of the quest.

[He held the statue up between them and smirked.]

It is a pretty dumb statue.

Who wants to steal his stuff? And why'd you agree to do it, anyway? You told me stealing was wrong. You even slapped me about the gem!

[Gosh Johnny, practice what you preach!

He's still glad to see his matesprit though. Sola's been too busy to spend much time with him these last couple weeks.]

[Practice what he preaches? Don't ask the impossible, that's not fair.]

I was bored and he needed someone with stealth.

And I slapped you because you were acting funny.

[Really, this isn't too strange for him.

He steps closer to the 'guard' and offers the ugly statue back. Really, he couldn't take it now, he'd just have to tell his 'employer' that the guard was far too ~~adorable~~ strong for him.]

[Pffff Johnny you are the biggest hypocrite! Oh well, Sola loves you anyway.

He takes the statue back and places it on its rightful pedestal.]

Thanks. And you shouldn't steal things! Unless they're from someone bad. Then whatever.

[Y'know. Like the head nurse. Bitch.

It dawns on Sola that because of this curse and all his activity he's barely gotten to spend any time with his matesprit. With a bit of a blush, Sola reaches for Johnny's hand.]

...I don't think anyone else will try and steal something so dumb. Let's take a break, okay?
