Sola's Quest Log
Who: Sola and any other intrepid heroes
When: All this week and next
Where: Everywhere there's a quest and some places there aren't!
Status: Half open (Ajar?) Details below.
[The second Sola discovered the nature of the bubble's new game, he hit the ground running. Quests? Potions? The chance to help everyone and be a hero? This is definitely right up his alley!
This week and next Sola can be found running around more than usual. He's even taken up residence in the "Inn" for the duration, sleeping there every night instead of at his own house. The innkeeper will be happier that way, right?
Sola will take on any and every task and in order to find them all, he's going out of his way to talk to everyone, so he can be seen conversing with NPCs a lot. Y'know, when he's not out fighting wolves for their teeth and shanks, delivering a message for a lazy shopkeeper, or cleaning up in front of the bakery every damn day this week (rotten kids!). Of course, some of these quests he needs help with; what's a warrior on a group quest without some support, right?]
((ooc: Sola's all about the level grinding for this curse! If anyone would like to help out/ complete a quest with him, please just comment below with the quest title in the link. I'll set up a few that I've already worked out with people (as such, those are closed to just the people in question). The threads don't have to be the quests themselves, they can just be talking after, or setting up to go out! And don't be surprise if Sola mentions something about the coral to every single one of you.))

[With that exclamation, Sola makes a run around the side of the lagoon, using his Look Here skill to draw and keep the attention of the mermaids solely on him. He makes his way to the edge of the water, aware he'll be leaving himself vulnerable for a few seconds as he tries to lure them onto land as they attack but trusting in Ruca to keep him healed.
Unfortunately, he didn't count on some of the mermaids being casters. He can barely reflect the bolts of watery necrotic energy with his shield, the poor thing rapidly tarnishing under the onslaught of three different zombie mermaid mages. It wasn't made to repel magic but he's trying his best.]

[It's after a few arrows shot does he notice something... off.]
Sola, my arrows aren't doing anything!

There has to be a way to defeat those zombies though. Back home the zombies were weak against fire spells, but Ruca can't use those anymore.
Isn't there anything else that could be done?]

I can't- play the sun's song! How do we beat them?!

[His arrows might not do any damage, but Darkleer keeps firing at the casters anyway. At least he can disrupt their spells before they have a chance to fully charge. Arty is circling around the group of mermaids that have Sola surrounded, violently lashing out to push them away so he can get to the young Hylian.]
We'll regroup and come up with another plan!

Between healing he casts barrier spell on Sola hoping that it would help at least a little.]

[He doesn't want to lead the entire mob over to everyone else, especially not Ruca!
When the barrier goes up, though, the tide of zombies slows, the monsters becoming more wary of touching the thing. Holy magic is definitely not their friend. Sola blinks a few times, tentatively pressing this momentary advantage by stepping towards them. The mermaids hiss and slither back, one or two trying to attack the barrier but looking as if it's uncomfortable for them to do so.]
Ruca, they don't like your magic!
no subject
[He smashes a hand up to his face.]
Of course! They're undead things, there's no going back to living again, so spells that help protect and heal can only do harm against them! [Turning fully to Ruca, he points to Arty. The musclebeast can only do so much as he gallops around the group of undead mermaids, trying to shepherd them as Sola advances.]
Cast that same spell on him so he can help, and then try another spell directly on the mermaids!
no subject
Ruca doesn't need to be told twice though. He nods to Darkleer and casts another barrier on Arty, then begins to cast spells on the mermaids. Healing really does harm them.]
It really works...
[The situation seemed so dire just a moment ago and now... Now everything changed!
Not too waste any more time Ruca focuses on the mermaid casters. They were the biggest threat after all.]
no subject
[It seems Ruca's success has given Sola a second wind and he uses his Look Here skill again as he plants himself between the mermaids and the cleric, keeping him protected by keeping the zombies to focus on him as Ruca burns them down.]
no subject
[Well, he certainly didn't expect himself to feel so useless like this, but Darkleer knows he can't stand around doing nothing. He keeps firing arrows to interrupt the casters even as they're hit by Ruca's spells.]
[Arty has slightly better time dealing with the undead mermaids. With Sola in the front, the musclebeast goes towards the back of the group, using his spell-given barrier to bash against the mermaids.]
no subject
[A soft relieved smile crosses Ruca's face as he keeps casting one spell after another - he isn't doing just something anymore; he feels like he is actually doing a lot.
Hopefully all the mermaids will be defeated soon. Ruca is well aware that he can't cast his spells forever.]

Once every last zombie is down, Sola sinks against a convenient rock with a heavy sigh. That was exhausting! He just needs a minute to rest...
Or maybe five minutes.
...someone should get the fins though.]
