Happy birthday to Zelda

[There are a suspicious amount of balloons gracing the plaza today, all in pink and gold. And not only in the plaza! Bunches of these balloons are tied from the walk in front of Ordo 2 & 3 leading all the way up through the plaza and into the park, a guide for the guest of honor to reach her own party!

The field the balloons lead into is set up with all manner of tables, adorably appointed in pinks and whites with fanciful candies in jars, cupcake pops, and a beautifully ornate birthday cake stands on a table to the side. There's another table set aside for gifts and cards as well, and even a live crustacean band that Zelos hired to provide music for the party.

Best birthday party ever? I think so! So feel free to enjoy yourselves~]

((ooc: So this is a mingle log for everyone to celebrate Zelda's birthday obviously! Anyone who saw Zelos' message on the network a couple days ago is welcome as long as they behave. You don't have to interact with Zelos or even Zelda though, just go ahead and treat it like a general mingle log))

So how old are you, if I may so humbly ask? I know it's rude to ask a lady her age, but call me curious.

Oh! I do not mind. By my world's standards I am 19 now, but our planet seems to have fewer days than most, so according to other worlds I would be somewhere between 17 and 18.

[She knows she acts older. She likes to hear it.]

My, despite your vast wisdom you're still quite young. I do wish I could have been so wise at that age.

Now you're just flattering me.

[It works on her far better than compliments about her appearance, though. Zelda does like to have her mind appreciated, after all!]

No I speak the truth. If it were possible here, I'm sure the people would make you the leader of this city.

[Though if he had his way, he'd make himself the leader of this city. But at the same time, he thinks someone more deserving should have that title.]

I do have training for that position, but I don't feel that I could appropriately put my heart into it. I belong in Hyrule.

[She cares about Vatheon, she really does - but becoming any sort of "leader" is beyond her. Unless he means an organizational leader for the foreigners, she could do that. They all need someone to whip them into shape so they can start figuring all this out, anyway.]

But when will you be able to return there? If ever? There may come a time when you need to give your all for this city as you did Hyrule.

[He may not be a leader, but he's seen a few who can be. Why waste the potential when they know not what the future holds in this world.]

[Her face hardens again, taking on a stern sort of regality.]

I will return to my people. I have been researching this place since my arrival. There are people running this experiment, so it is possible for other people to figure out exactly how everything works so that we can go home with our memories intact. You do not have to fear if you wish to remain in Vatheon, though - I will do my best to ensure that those who wish to stay here can do so safely. If at all possible I think it would be ideal for this place to be a nexus between worlds. We could all learn much from each other.

[He's very intrigued by her words, however one thing stands out in his mind. Thus he vocalizes it.]

If you can find a way between worlds, then you can also find a way past the barrier couldn't you? So we are able to explore the outside world beyond the island.

I would need to be able to study the barrier safely. There's a large monster that guards it, and it seems particularly resistant to any magic I threw at it.

[She sounds irritated. Stupid Fluffy, spoiling her expedition...]

Let me join in your studies then, I'm sure this monster can't stop our combined magic.

[He sounds rather eager about this idea.]

If it was put there by the administration of the city as I suspect it might have been, then it most certainly could stop us. I have been thinking about sending someone to test the theory. I will let you know how that goes.

[If the Highblood gets hurt, he'll probably just enjoy it. She doesn't want him to die, but she has confidence in his ability to survive.]
