Happy birthday to Zelda

[There are a suspicious amount of balloons gracing the plaza today, all in pink and gold. And not only in the plaza! Bunches of these balloons are tied from the walk in front of Ordo 2 & 3 leading all the way up through the plaza and into the park, a guide for the guest of honor to reach her own party!

The field the balloons lead into is set up with all manner of tables, adorably appointed in pinks and whites with fanciful candies in jars, cupcake pops, and a beautifully ornate birthday cake stands on a table to the side. There's another table set aside for gifts and cards as well, and even a live crustacean band that Zelos hired to provide music for the party.

Best birthday party ever? I think so! So feel free to enjoy yourselves~]

((ooc: So this is a mingle log for everyone to celebrate Zelda's birthday obviously! Anyone who saw Zelos' message on the network a couple days ago is welcome as long as they behave. You don't have to interact with Zelos or even Zelda though, just go ahead and treat it like a general mingle log))

[In fairness, he has been in Vatheon for a decent amount of time, and learning to cook is somewhat like learning how to use a sword or learning how to ride a horse. ...Sort of.]

Uh huh! I had to try a few times, but these ones came out really good! [He may have sampled three one. Just for quality control purposes, of course.]

[She's a little nervous about trying them, but she doesn't want to be rude. Zelda picks one up and takes a bite.]

They're good. What kind are they?

[And who taught him? Did he find a recipe and work it out on his own...?]

[Ducking his head at the praise, he smiles almost bashfully.]

They're jam! They've got lots of different flavours and everything. I found a recipe in a book and it said you could use any kind. Um, I'm glad you like them.

[He takes a breath, then reaches forward for a quick, friendly hug.] Happy birthday, Zelda.

[At first she's startled. It's not as if she hasn't been close to Link before, but the circumstances were so different. She doesn't know what to think of him hugging her without a reason.

But he doesn't need a special reason, does he? They're friends now. It's taken quite some time, but the strange formality and sense of foreboding is finally gone.

After a moment she settles into it, smiling.]

We'll have to depend on you for cooking sometimes now as well, then! If you can follow a recipe book, you can make just about anything.

Haha, I can try! [He pulls away, giving her a warm smile.] You have a whole birthday party to explore, huh? It's going to be a really nice day.

[Right now, he's just happy to be with her, to be with friends, to finally be relaxed and comfortable and happy.]
