Burgh sat on the fountain within the Plaza with his sketchbook open. Sewaddle was busy staring down at the page he was working on as he often took interest in what his trainer was doing. Right now, Burgh was sketching the buildings and people walking past, trying to create a living world within his book. He often liked to sketch new places and being in Vatheon, had captured his imagination.

"Hey, you like it, Sewaddle? I'm just going to start sketching you in it soon." He gave the caterpillar a grin before going back to his work. He wondered if anyone would notice what he was doing. Perhaps ask to see his work? He hoped as much.

As an artist, Italy was naturally attracted to sketchbooks. His people were well-known artists, so that reflected well on him, the country. And so seeing someone else in this bubble sketch attracted him like flies to honey. "Ve, ve, that's a really good sketch!"

Burgh heard the voice then looked up at the young man admiring his work. "Oh. Thank you. I do try."

Italy smiled brightly in return. Boy was it good to see another artist. "Ve, have you been drawing long? What's your favorite subject?"

"How long? Oh. Since I was a small boy. I love drawing things and painting." He beamed. "My favourite subject is probably my Pokemon and sketching trees."

Pokemon? Well that was somewhat of a surprising word to hear. He must be from Bianca's world. "Ve, ve, you're a pokemon trainer too?"

"I am a Pokemon Gym leader. Castelia City is where I am from." He nodded. "You have heard of Pokemon before?" He could see there wasn't much surprise when he mentioned the name.

"Ve, what's a gym leader do?" Now Italy didn't know much about pokemon, but he'd heard a little from Bianca. He did, however, know how to make poffins. "Bianca has pokemon~. Hers play with my kitty. I also make poffins in my bakery~"

"Well, we train Pokemon in battles. We battle other gym leaders. The winner gets a badge." He smiled. "Bianca? I didn't know you knew her."

"That sounds exciting~" Badges were cool. Italy probably would never win one, as he really didn't like battling or fighting at all, but badges! yes!

"Si, si, Bianca and I have been friends since she bumped into me~" Which was when she'd first arrived.

"Is it exciting! Very much so." Burgh nodded. "Ah, that's nice. Bianca is a strong and willing trainer. She has a lot of potential as she is smart and knows how to bring out the best in her Pokemon."

"She's very nice and friendly too~," Italy nodded. He liked nice and friendly people. They were fun to be around.

"Ah, that she is." He nodded. "She wants to train and become a professor's assistant, last time I spoke with her. I think she will do really well."

"Ve, I bet she'd make a great assistant~" Italy agreed. He wasn't necessarily familiar with what a professor would do, probably something sciency with pokemon, but a professor was still a professor. Bianca always was helpful and ambitious. It seemed like a perfect fit.

[He nodded.]

Oh, indeed! I can see her being a fantastic professor's assistant one day. With Professor Juniper. She is good with Pokemon.

[ Italy nods. ]

She brings her pokemon over to play with my kitty and helps me test out new poffin recipes.

Your kitty? [Burgh wondered what he was referring to.]

New poffin recipes? Oh, so you like making poffins? I haven't tasted one of those since I was in the Hoenn Region.

He's around here somewhere. His name is Leonardo da Vinci. [ go figure. ]

Si, si, Bianca helped me plant some more berry bushes so I can make even more~

Leonardo da Vinci? [Burgh just stared for a moment.]

Oh. He's one of my favourite artists! Being one myself.

Si, si, he's one of my greatest inventors and artists. I thought it'd make a great name. I call him Leo for short~

The same for me. [Burgh nodded.]

Leo? An apt name for him I think. [He went to look closer at the creature.]

He likes to eat poffins too, even though he's not a pokemon. He ate my last berry bush. He really likes poffins.

He does? Oh, good! Poffins are delicious when you make them yourself.

Si, si!~ I like them too. The berries are also good in pies.

Pies? I never thought of putting Poffins in pies before. What a good idea.
