[There are some people who don't mind getting soaked to the skin. There are some people who do mind it. Stein is one of those people who acts a bit like a wet cat, removing his lab coat and shaking it out, carding his hands through his hair and trying to flick out the water, and making an annoyed expression at the general wetness involved in arriving in Vatheon.

This does mean that the tall, scarred man with the metal bolt stuck through his head is not exactly looking where he's going.]

[Stein is not an expert on personal space. He reaches out to tilt Feferi's chin up in order to get a better look at the fins and get an idea of skin texture and temperature.]

Very impressive. Have you tried swimming out of here?

[ That's... weird. She's usually the one doing the outrageous invasions of personal space.

Her skin is significantly cooler than his weird warm human hands, and very smooth much like a dolphin's. She glubs at him and reaches up to clap her hands onto his cheeks in a particularly eccentric form of retaliation. ]

You don't want to try. You'll break your pan on another one of those weird barriers.

Pchooooo! [ She spreads her hands suddenly in emphasis. ] Crash!

"Crash", huh? I take it that means you've tried to swim out of here? [No apparent damage to the horns, but that doesn't mean anything.]

I wasn't even trying to escape, I just wanted to go on some fintastic adventure. But it probably doesn't care why you're doing whatever you're doing.

Probably not. Cages don't care about motive.

How long have you been here?

I dunno, somewhere around three of your human months, I guess. It's hard to keep track of all the time around here, there's so much to keep me busy.

I'm sure there is. What sorts of things do you like to do?

I love to cull all the cute sea creatures. It's a great hobby, but no one ever seems to get it.

Maybe you should use a word other than "cull".

It's a perfectly fine word, if you ask me. It's not my fault everyone else doesn't understand.

People get used to seeing words used in particular ways. If you try and mean something other than the normal meaning, you'll want to explain it.

You need to broaden your horizons, everybubbly here really does. That's the whole issue. Now go dry off, shoo. You'll get a human disease and die and come back to life then start it all over again.

If people could just change what words mean on a whim, we wouldn't be able to communicate at all. [Yeah, he probably should dry off.

And, oddly enough, that last comment doesn't bother him. He's going to file away "trolls have more than one life" as a possibility. After all, cats can die more than once.]

It just means that other people need to adapt to me. Sink or swim!
