[Some time ago, Cielo had mentioned this thing called flautas and how Gale needed to try some. Cielo had also mentioned that he knew a restaurant in Vatheon that sold them. For free, like most other things in the bubble, of course.

Yukari had also given Cielo and Serph a birthday some time ago: January 23rd. And what better excuse did Serph need for a big Embryon outing in the name of flautas and birthdays?

Which brings us to a "Mexican" (whatever that means) restaurant in Vatheon, where there are at least 8 people at a table (Cielo, Gale, Heat, Rinoa, Sera, Serph, Signless/Sufferer, Tiir) with a ridiculous amount of Mexican food. Some of it is mild, harmless to the sensitive palate. But some of dishes... the spices on those are enough to make you feel like you can breathe fire after a single mouthful. The horrendous table manners of about half the people there leaves much to be desired, however...

The locals, excited at having so much business at once, decide that other people need to taste the delightful flavours of their cuisine. If you're passing by, the threat of locals forcibly dragging you into their restaurant with other poor saps is very real.]

[ooc: TL;DR A general mingle post centered around Mexican food that ranges from mild to spicy as Satan's balls. There is a very high chance your character has been forcibly dragged into the restaurant by pushy locals. WHATEVER COULD GO WRONG!?]

[Angelo takes the waitress up on her offer and refills his glass, but he also watches Serph from the corner of his eye. He's mildly interested in what he's eating.]

Perhaps you could share what it is you're eating, Serph?

[When Angelo asks his question, Serph had been in the middle of licking sour cream off his fingers. And hand.

Well, he doesn't see any reason not to share, so he hands the bowl of nachos over, holding it with the same hand he just freshly licked.]

[His eyes watched Serph licking his fingers and hand, intrigued at the sight before him. He's always found Serph to be an interesting fellow for some odd reason. However, he takes the bowl of nachos then begins eating them.]

These are rather delicious.

[Hmm. Well Serph isn't going to take the Super Spicy Tortillas that caused the intense burning, so he pushes that plate over to Angelo.

No, he's not giving Angelo any warning.]

[Without a warning, Angelo bites into the Tortillas and suddenly feels the burning in his mouth. He sets down the food to grab the bowl of ice from Serph, chomping on the cubes to get the burning sensation to settle. His eyes glare daggers at the other while his mouth may come off as shouting.]

Serph! A little warning next time if you don't mind?! I nearly burnt my mouth!

[Problem, Angelo? (troll) Serph just blinks at Angelo, face the perfect picture of (lineface) innocence.

He glances at the plate of tortillas. Ah...]

I forgot.

[There's a sigh escaping his lips and he slightly rolls his eyes too.]

[Stop being so inconsiderate and making others suffer, Serph. But whatever, it's not Angelo's problem anymore.]

[Serph briefly casts his gaze around the table, looking at the Tribe he has gathered here, both new and old, before returning his attention to Angelo.]

It's been a year since my arrival here with Cielo.

[Angelo looks rather surprised at those words.]

You've been here for a whole year?

[Serph nods. Although...]

That number includes the time I left Vatheon.

[Angelo ponders for a bit then answers.]

I wonder if I will end up being here for that length of time.

[Serph considers those words. They have so little control over their arrival and their departure in Vatheon.]

Do you miss your world?

[Angelo gets closer to Serph.]

No, I'm happier here than I was there. The only thing I miss from there is my freedom which this place doesn't provide. [And now he's invading personal space.] Besides, everyone here in the bubble is a better means of entertainment for me, especially compared to my world.

[Angelo notices that look right away and steps back slightly.]

You know I would compare the way you behave to a snake, but I'm not that unkind even if it's the truth. I'd rather keep myself together in one piece.

[Thank you. Serph appreciates having his personal space back. But he does tilt his head.]

What is a snake?

[Angelo would internally facepalm, but he knows Serph by now that he of all people would ask such a silly question.]

A reptile that is considered dangerous when provoked. It has sharp fangs and can even poison someone if they're not careful.
