[once he dove under the water, nothing was what he expected to see. notably, there's a decided lack of New York City pipelines. or really, New York City-looking anything. he's pretty sure New York doesn't have underwater plazas.]

[he's suddenly hit by something even more discomforting: radio silence] Jarvis. Buddy. Talk to me. ... Right, I'll just talk to myself, shall I? That always works just as well. Okay. My AI link's probably just broken, thought I tested that in the underwater preliminaries, but but that's easy enough to fix ... I hope.

[he sits down on a nearby bench and notices a blinking icon in a lower corner of his HUD.] ... Okay. Uh. ... Yeah, sure, let's activate that. What's the worst it could do.

[the welcome brochure appears on holo-panels in front of him, and he frowns]

No Jarvis. But someone's hacking my systems. Okay. This is not good. This is not cool, and it's not funny. Fury, that you? It's got One-Eyed-Creeper written all over it...

[he wouldn't be loathe to simply walk on by and ignore the hunk of whatever in the plaza. that's exactly what Walter intends to do when, out of some long running bad luck, a local hustles up to him. he's shoved a towel, a fake smile, and pointed in Tony's direction with a lame pat that's supposed to be a push. and there's no getting out of it, so with a deep exhale through his nose, Walter strides up and extends the rainbow-colored (complete with cartoon bubbles) towel at Tony, looking cross.

words? Tony doesn't get any]

Huh? Oh, hey, hot towels, nice. Don't suppose there's any sake to go with this somewhere....

[that's not his concern to answer, stranger, so just take the blasted towels and let him be on his way. he keeps them held, gaze stony; unmoving, but not looking very happy]

[admittedly, it's unusual to see something like this—a suit of advanced armor? almost reminds him of the automata—but it's hardly enough to keep Walter's temper at bay and he scowls]

Mmkay. ... Wait, they have Barnes & Noble here? Pretty swanky for kidnappers, I'll give you that.

Sounds like some cutesy tourist shop. No offense, but I'm pretty sure a place like that isn't gonna be big on holographic and/or robotic tech components.
