Pascal What Are You Doing? Why? Why?

'Twas the morning before Christmas, and all through Hubert's flat /
Not a creature was stirring, certainly not that cat.

She looked like Pascal with red tips on white fur /
And resting on a bed that for sure wasn't hers.

'Twas soon Hubert would wake up and get quite a shock /
As a magical kitty came in with no stock.

But then the narrator, he ran out of rhymes /
As Hubert woke up, at his usual time....


(OOC: Pascal is presently a Strong Magical Creature, like those in Soul Eater, thanks to the current curse. And chose to sneak up and crash on Hubert's bed while in cat form.)

There was a pause to stretch now that Pascal was no longer on him, arms over his head and back twisting a few times. Another yawn, and he was on his feet and plodding towards the kitchen.

"Do you want anything else? I could make breakfast."

[mysterious_groper]

"... You know. Now that I'm a cat, I wonder if I'm supposed to change my diet."

[dualbladewarrior]

"A cat with a human form, however that is supposed to work..." came Hubert's voice from the kitchen as he started getting things out.

"I highly doubt a week of normal food is going to cause that much trouble, all things considered."

Though he had to wonder if being partially feline might give her more inclination to bathe herself.

[mysterious_groper]

"... Wait. Aren't cats allergic to bananas?"

[dualbladewarrior]

"Allergic? ... no, I believe it's more along the lines of difficulty digesting certain plant matter.

So that you may have to change, yes. But that said, a temporary change in your own diet certainly won't kill you."

And with that in mind, he pulled out a pack of bacon and a few other breakfast items.

"Meat would suit a feline better anyway."

"Aw."

Pascal couldn't help but look interested as the bacon came out, though. Clearly, her stomach was betraying her look of disappointment.

[dualbladewarrior]

"You can eat all the bananas you want, once the curse is over," Hubert said with a sigh, that little note from her not going unnoticed. "Until then let's just make sure you eat properly."

[mysterious_groper]

"Right, right," she said, obviously still a little down about that. "Thanks, Hu."

[dualbladewarrior]

"Yes, well... I suppose some one has to look out for you in this state."

Some one that isn't Cheria, who likely had her own curse-week stresses to deal with.

[mysterious_groper]

"She worked herself into a cold... Hopefully she doesn't keep doing that."

[dualbladewarrior]

"She was lectured at length by several people not to let herself get so worn down. At this point all we can hope is that Cheria heeds the warnings given to her..."

Hubert hadn't included himself on those lectures, mainly because he saw no reason to beat a dead horse once so many had already done it.

[mysterious_groper]

"Literally had to half-drag her to bed... Not because she was resisting, she just could barely walk."

Pascal's tone, while calm and slightly distracted by bacon, clearly indicated a fair bit of worry about Cheria overall...

"Did you? Well... I'm glad some one had the wherewithal to do so."

[mysterious_groper]

"Yeah... Hopefully this doesn't happen again..."

And then, at the drop of a hat, Pascal switched topics. As usual.

"I am not used to bacon smelling this good!"

[dualbladewarrior]

"Felines do prefer meat. And I imagine your sense of smell is quite amplified," Hubert commented, actually glad for a distraction from the subject of Cheria's illness.

"It'll be ready shortly."

[mysterious_groper]

Pascal just kinda watched eagerly, then pondered something offhandedly.

"I wonder if I have any other cool powers?"

[dualbladewarrior]

"I would prefer you test them outside, in case any turn out to be explosive or destructive in any way."

[mysterious_groper]

"But it's cold outside!"

[dualbladewarrior]

"It's not cold in the city. I meant outside of my house."

Really, Pascal. He's not that cruel.

[mysterious_groper]

"Cats are sensitive to that sorta thing. Why do you think it's called a cat tongue?"

[dualbladewarrior]

Hubert let out an exasperated sigh at that, tilting his head back to look at her over his shoulder.

"A cat tongue refers to their sensitivity to hot foods, and has nothing to do with either the cold temperatures on the island or the mild temperature inside the city."

[mysterious_groper]

"... It sure felt cold when I was walking over here..."

[dualbladewarrior]

"... I truly hope you're not getting ill on top of everything else. Beneath the bubble, it's rarely any colder than a warm spring day."

[mysterious_groper]

"It just felt chilly to me when I was ambling on over here in cat form, okay?! I'm pretty sure I'm fine!"

[dualbladewarrior]

"Hm. I would have thought your fur would have kept you warm, but I suppose I can easily be mistaken on that. Anyway... breakfast is ready."
