Dear Signless is he tired lately. Maybe it's all the thinking? It has to be. He can think when he wants to, has to, you know, about the things he knows. Animals, war, he knows those things, has a lot of experience with them, is interested in them. He barely even has to think about them actually, they're just natural for him, but this? This romance bullshit.

Man, you never think you'll have to talk to your dead wife again after you kill her. He was too busy getting himself to deal with what happened, why would he think about what he'd have to say to her later? There wouldn't be a later, there shouldn't've been. But Vatheon just-

Vatheon makes things uncomfortable and dramatic, makes things you'd think about less more intense, more important. So yeah, he's tired lately. You can probably see it in how he flies right now, a kind of dragging pace and low to the ground, wanting to keep out of too many people's sight. Summoner's heading to the elevator now, making his way to the island. The door to the elevator is as small and obstructive as ever but that magic twist it's got does wonders when trying to enter with that rack of his. He's pretty thankful for it actually, magic elevator, hell, doesn't understand the thing but he appreciates it. Lysunder's pretty anxious to get to the island too, when he does, there's nothing better than that deep breath of fresh air. He can already taste the sea.

"Maybe I'll hit the coast, hey fellas?" A sigh to himself, his mind mixing with some seagulls right now, chatting them up a bit before he gets ready to hit the skies again.

"Yeah, about, kinda neat." Even if he'd prefer have a longer one.

"Oh uh, Tink's Darkleer, sorry."

"Darkleer huh? That's an interesting nickname for him." She smiles a bit and shakes her head. "I wouldn't worry about your lifespan as long as you enjoyed it."

"Well, full nickname's Tinker, heh." Smiles, furrowing his brows. "Pretty self explanatory, since, uh, he tinkers..."

"Yeah, that's how I live my life, burn as hot as I can." His smile calms a little, closing his eyes, leaning back as he sits. "As hot and bright as possible, and I think I've been doing a pretty all right job so far."

"You're right~. It is." And it still makes Washu chuckle a bit.

"Just as long as you're happy, that's all that counts." She pauses for a bit to glance over at him, thinking for a moment before leaning towards him. "So, got a name or should I just call you the 'Cute one with horns'."

He swells a little, chuckling as he leans in a bit closer to her, eyebrows raising.

"Well, I don't think there's anything wrong with a title like that, but babe, Lysunder'll do just fine."

"Then Lysunder it is." She remains where she is for a few more seconds before straightening up and glancing back at her computer. The tests were still running it seems.

"I can tell you are going to be one of my favorites~."

"Favorites? Gonna be." Smirks, looking to her computer as well, not that he really knows what's happening on it's screen, still keeps his attention though.

"Saying I'm not already?"

Eventually she might explain what all the strange readings mean. If she feels like it. "Well~, You're definitely up there with Darkleer and Equius."

"Not bad not bad. Think I'm a little more uh- relaxed though, don't ya think? Heh, not that Darkleer'd use that term." 'Flighty' would be more appropriate there...

Though honestly, Darkleer and Equius both have been getting more and more friendly since he's gotten here and gotten to know them. Good to see, not that's it's surprising. Summoner's always known Highblood's could mellow out a bit more if in the right environment.

"You are~. I just tend to value intelligence and how interesting an individual is over everything else. Of course, it also helps if they are willing to learn."

And willing to put up with her own little quirks.

"Heh, no, Darkleer, and Equius-" A sigh, smiling and closing his eyes.

"Great trolls, like anyone, just needed the right push."

"You can say that about anyone carrying a spark of potential."

"Yeah, potential for what's the kicker though, I think."

"Hm, you may have a point. It really depends on what influences that potential."

"Sure as hell does. Trolls are a good representation of that I think. Well uh- 'good', not really good good."

"Oh? Care to explain what you mean by that?"

"The hemospectrum." The topic is best accompanied with a drink though.

"Right, blood color. I've gotten bits and pieces about that from both Darkleer and Karkat so far."

Then perhaps she should provide some glasses so he can share.

"For the most part, I come from a world where most species have the same blood color. It's not the color that governs them, it's their bloodlines. Lineage that's passed on from parent to child through the generations."

Washu pauses for a moment to just gaze at her computer. Suddenly the child is gone and the adult is sitting there with her arms crossed. "It's utter bullshit. Lineage shouldn't mean as much as it does in my world."

"Yeah I uh, I've read a little about that from the books here. Things about family lines and all that, guess you could say it's similar to trolls in a way, if you uh, think of lineage like blood castes? Humans seem to have a hell of a lot more leniency though." He doubles takes a bit at that, sitting up a little more, paying a bit more attention because whoa, the heck?

"Yeah, same for me." A smirk. "Complete bullshit. It's why I do what I do."

"From the sounds of it, I can't help but draw a correlation. It's not an exact match, but definitely similar to your blood casts."

She smiles a bit at his response. Now she could see why she was starting to like this particular troll so much. "Yes and no, the leniency depends on the rank one is in the Aristocracy and the time period. For instance, 20,000 years ago, I was forced to divorce my husband because I wasn't a noble. Yet, in the more modern times it seems to be a little more acceptable for nobles to marry out side of nobility as long as the person in question can prove themselves worthy to marry into the family line."

Washu pauses for a few moments for that to sink in a bit. "You could say my view is the same reason I've done what I've done with my life as well."

Two thousand years ago- wait, what?

"Wait, how, how old are you?"

"Give or take, I'm over twenty thousand years old."

Washu continues to smile, as if waiting to see his reaction. "I stopped counted a few millenia ago."

"Are you-"..."Uh.." Well shit.

"You're probably not human then, hey?"

"Nopes~. Humanoid, yes. Earth based human? Not so much."

"Heh, seems to uh, be a lot of those running around here. Guess trolls are kinda humanoid? Not as much as you though." A coy smile.

"Not that that's a problem or anything. Kinda like ya the way you are, and I'm really liking the hair."
