15 ♐ Baby it's cold outside
Who: Darkleer, Summoner, Disciple (plus others eventually)
When: The afternoon
Where: The highblood hive
Status: Open to anyone dropping by Darkleer's place!
Note: All interactions with Summoner will happen after his and Darkleer's thread, ic timewise. Summoner can also be found throughout the rest of the hive, not just Darkleer's room!
It's been two months now, soon to approach a third if this keeps going. Like he has been for most of October and November, Darkleer stays in his room. It's not an uncommon sight, him like this- bent over his workbench, hands strung through his hair. How much longer is Summoner going to sleep the days away? It's just like when he died... It seems Vatheon can never let things be easy for him. Yet at the same time, he's almost scared for him to wake up. There's Mindfang, after all, and what happened with the Highblood...
Sighing, he looks to Summoner again. He's let the other keep his bed, and tucked the blankets around him tight to protect him from the chill in the air. There's the miniature horse he got from the petting zoo, sleeping on his body. The sight makes him smile, just a bit.
Just a little longer, he tells himself. Just a little longer... hopefully.

"So uh,-" said after he finishes, adjusting a little but staying where he is.
"What all happened then? Two months is pretty long, for, not really being awake, you know?"
no subject
"Of vital note, particularly to you," he starts, "is that there is a new rule being enforced. If you kill anyone, or are yourself killed... There are consequences. The nurses have become tired of it, it seems. There was a murderer on the loose, you see, and... Well, they took away his sight, at least for a designated length of time. I don't doubt they could do worse."
no subject
"The hell is that even?"
no subject
"It is the reasoning of individuals who view us as little more than an experiment and not individuals, Summoner. Apparently, if one dies, it is their own fault for not trying harder to avoid death."
no subject
"Prisoners don't really get a lot of respect, do they? Guess sometimes I forget we're still in a fucking cage." His tone is bitter, but he means it. This place tricks you, he's in an even split between wanting to stay and wanting to leave, but things like that do well to remind him of the latter.
no subject
His hand goes to settle over his. "I know it is not as quick a revolution as you would like or are used to, but we are doing what we can."
no subject
"Help me forgot for a bit then, would ya?"
no subject
Especially his... mistakes. But for now... Maybe it could be alright? He's just woken up. That's enough bad news for now. Surely they can spend some time just enjoying each other, for a little while.

"I hope you're ready for quite the rodeo, then, after being so well rested."
Say uh- a fade to black then-
"Really Tink, when aren't it? I am always suitably prepared."
after an hour-ish and a torn bedsheet...
"I had plans for when you woke up... and I admittedly hadn't included that."
bedsheets were ruined in the making of this post
Here let him just stop being upside down for a moment- He laughs, letting out a huffed "wooo" as he flops back down on the bed."Yeah I was going to say. But whatever you were doing with you ;eg was great. We have to remember that." Snorts.
no animals, 'tho, and that is the important thing
"I'll be sure to write it down and everything." For a moment, he stays as he is, just stroking. Now? He's just not sure. But if he doesn't speak up now, then he might just hold himself back. The light starts to fade from his eyes, and the smile from his face. His hand eventually stops.
"I... think we do need to talk."
Re: no animals, 'tho, and that is the important thing
That high after glow definitely fades at those words though and he sits up a little. His expression would look more concerned
you know
if you could even really... well, see, his face.
"To uh, to talk. Right. What about?"
no subject
Slowly, Darkleer sits up as well. Without hardly thinking about it, he begins to pick at what's left of the bedsheets. Really, he just wants to wrap himself up and disappear; it's a rather obvious thought on his face.
Where should he start first? Is either topic really better than the other? They could both wreck his quadrant, just in different ways. Taking deep breaths and counting to seven, he picks one. "When you were asleep... your body was kidnapped."
no subject
"...All right." Said slowly, waiting for him to continue.
no subject
"It.. was the Grand Highblood who took you. Perhaps as a joke of some sort."
no subject
"Yeah, I can uh, I can see that."
no subject
"As I said... I gave chase. I managed to get you back, and you were immediately escorted back here thanks to my robots. I... I simply didn't return with you or them." A thick swallow. "I kept going."
no subject
"Uh, right." He watches him quietly, feeling a slight tug in his stomach. He's starting to piece it together, but he doesn't interrupt him, letting him finish.
no subject
Nothing else. Right. Darkleer faintly realizes that he's stopping so much because he doesn't want to admit this happened. He simply wants it to never have happened. However, he's poured his sopor, now he has to sleep in it.
"It started out with the same feelings as before. I simply wanted to hurt him- worse, as you well know." His treatment of the sheet starts to get worse, fingers tearing straight through; only half by accident, really "I caught up to him, and we fought. Again. This time it was not as easy, however, and, ah. Eventually we ended up on the ground." He wants to swallow, but his throat suddenly feels as dry as a desert. "He managed to get me on my back, and I was working to get the upper hand again when he decided... He didn't much care for simply fighting. I was so worked up by then, I, I simply wasn't thinking straight." Darkleer can feel some strands of his hair come loose as he shoves his hand through his hair.
He wasn't to do such a thing, and yet it happened.
"We-" The words threaten to get stuck in his throat, but he pushes on. "We had sex."

...probably another fade to black then, hey? happy couples are so nauseating.
if they have not made the scientists turn off their monitor or something, they have not succeeded
I doubt the scientists are against a healthy love life. Unless they really are evil.
