[GV] - 6 - Festive
Golden Victory isn't about to go two months without a proper change in decor! Their fearless leader hasn't seemed to be in the best of spirits (falling into a coma can do that to a guy), so things aren't quite as extravagant as normal. Instead of playful, things seem a bit more ambient - warm golden lights, rich red tablecloths, holly, garland, maybe even a sprig of mistletoe here and there for the mischievous heart that may wander. And... well, it's a bit of a mystery how they managed to get it through the front door, but there's a well-lit tree taking up one corner of the main floor.
Per usual the rules and employee roster are posted near the door. It seems a bit quieter around here than usual.
Hosts:
Angelo
Asbel Lhant
Duke Pantarei
Fai D. Flourite (assistant chef and appointments)
Guy Cecil (bartender)
Ioder
Jade Curtiss (bartender)
Malik Caesar (bartender)
Peony Malkuth IX
Rin Okumura (chef)
Serph
Sora and Roxas
Zelos Wilder (Only takes appointments with women.)
Please note that some hosts may be unavailable due to coma.
The staff are free to their normal wardrobes this month... well, for the most part. Red, white, green and gold seem to be all over the place, encouraging to fit in with the Christmas spirit. There may even be some fur or a little more ~*sparkle*~ than the hosts might be used to. A certain emperor may have taken the liberty of making sure there's at least one spectacular outfit front and center for them to wear.

For us, the incantation changes from user to user, too. I think it's just a way for people to connect with the world around them. The larger the field of effect for the change they want to impose onto the world, the more preparation is needed. That's why incantations for big spells get really long. Though I haven't really had to use them, so that's just all theory.
[She sips the tea gently, as befitting a lady. It is indeed a little bit bitter, but at least there's a very nice smell of spices that washes over the temporary taste, so her face of slight discomfort only stays on her face for a second before being replaced by a smile.]
The tea is delicious.

[ He doesn't really smile back - its more of a tilt of his head that might suggest a smile. ]
Good. Will admit that picked it simply on scent.

[Ilya wraps a hand around the cup while holding the handle with the other, continuing to sip. She still gets the bitter taste from it, but as she sips she finds herself minding it less and less. It's not Japanese tea, at least - she learned that she really doesn't like Japanese tea at all.
It's only now that she gets a better look at his attire. The hood blanket thing looks rather festive, along with the rest of the room... although it doesn't look like a piece of attire Duke normally dons.]
So... do you work here, Duke? Or are you here just to socialize, too?
no subject
... perhaps.. a mix of both. I am not adept at socializing on my own, thus this place... gives a bit of an aid.
[ But Zelos really wanted him here to put on costumes. Duke doesn't know that yet. ]
no subject
What's your job here, then? It doesn't look like you're that busy.
[Or maybe he's the resident decorator. He was working with those lights when she first came up to him, after all.]
no subject
[ But mostly Zelos has him sit over here and look pretty. Very few people actually talk to him. ]
And talk to people, if they wish to.
no subject
[She tilts her head slightly to accentuate the question.]
That sounds pretty easy! You just have to talk to people, right?
[Not like she thinks she needs a job at all, considering that she's learned that practically everything is free in Vatheon... but just talking to people as a job appears simple enough.]
no subject
[ And it keeps him from sitting around and doing nothing. ]
no subject
Do you need a job? I don't know what kind of job I would get...
no subject
But if she chooses to read that as "it would be hard to avoid him if I said no", then thats okay with him. ]
Depends on what interests are.
no subject
Hm, I don't really have any interests except for talking with other people sometimes. Is that a bad thing?
[Magecraft isn't really an interest of hers, per se, just something she's good at.]
no subject
[ He only rarely seeks people out to talk to them, really. This place made it easier for people to find him if they wanted to talk. ]
If like books, and is during a time when talking is not an interest, there is a library. Will admit that do not know most of the places that hire around here...
[ He didn't go job hunting, after all. ]
no subject
She hums casually at the thought of a library. All she knows is that libraries are huge collections of books, and she's not exactly someone who likes books...]
That's okay. I guess some people get by without jobs, so I can do that too.
[And... well, probably no one expects a small girl to be working a job, anyway.]

World-specific?
no subject
Where I am from, there are items that are like.. candies, that are chewy and sweet, that are used for healing. Cannot buy them elsewhere but in a location known as Nostalgia Nook, as they come from my world. [ And Zelos's world. and Malik's world... ]
Having a job would allow you to buy them.
no subject
Although these candy things sound interesting.]
So having a job lets you buy these things...
[Nah, she's really just curious about the candies.]
What do the candies taste like?
no subject
no subject
All of them together? That doesn't sound very good-tasting.
[Ilya takes a sip from her teacup. She tries to imagine different kinds of tea together - that, too, doesn't seem very delicious.]
no subject
no subject
[Still, she does want to try one, if only to see how it works... it sounds a bit like the jewels the Tohsaka use to store prana, except they're edible.]
So how much is a gel here? Are they expensive?
[She's not really quite willing to work for one, though.]
no subject
[ Its for the people who don't really care. ]
... Not terribly.
no subject
What do you use them for here, then?
[She doesn't imagine that people get into fights here that often.]
Do you do a lot of casting?
no subject
... Not as often as... making, of spells, or learning of new types. Still expends..
