Who: Trunks and Angelo
Where: Up on the island and no he doesn't care about the cold
When: December 3rd
Status: Closed
Style: [lazy]
[Trunks had lost track of Gohan's ki two days ago, after he'd woken up from another ridiculously long sleep. He spent the first twelve hours searching every inch of the dome and the island, knowing it was pointless and yet refusing to not do so.
He was ignoring everyone and everything, any messages on the network--in fact he'd left his SFC at home--and despite his normal appetite being insane, he hasn't eaten in those two days.
After tearing Vatheon apart, twice over, he had retreated to the island where it was easier to avoid people. And easier to avoid hurting people when he blew up a few rocks and trees out of sheer frustration in a desperate hope that it would help him feel better.
It didn't. So he settled for sitting on a rock near the beach, looking out over the water, leg pulled up to his chest and chin resting on his knee, completely zoned out.]

He turned, slowly, he felt tired and strung out even though he'd apparently just been sleeping for a month. He knew the feeling well, it probably reflected on his face but he couldn't bring himself to care enough to make his expression neutral.
Angelo. The last words he'd traded with him had been angry--not just angry, he'd been furious, but none of that anger rose up in him now. Just a weak roiling of the stomach that might've been just as much hunger as dread. He'd come up here to avoid people, he certainly didn't want to talk.]

...I thought they sent you home and I'd never get to see you again.
no subject
...I wouldn't be the only one.
no subject
Truth to be told, I was worried about you after what happened. I even left a voice mail which you never answered. I thought perhaps you never wanted to speak with me again and in fact grew to hate me because of what I had done.
no subject
I fell asleep shortly after that. Bad timing, I guess. Woke up a couple days ago.
[And looks like he hasn't really slept since. He has, a bit, but he definitely doesn't look rested.]
no subject
So you were napping while I worried? [A small huff.] I guess I had no reason to worry about you then.
no subject
I was spontaneously comatose for a month, not 'napping.' Not that you needed to worry anyway.
no subject
...Come with me, I have something to show you.
no subject
Which, yes, he feels like.]
no subject
This is what I want to show you. Particularly, the contents within.
no subject
That's why you came up here, to draw?
no subject
To paint and sketch, yes. It's a hobby I used to do when I was young, but I've refined it now being here.
[He stops on one sketch in his book and turns it so the other can see it. It's a full body portrait of Trunks sitting in a chair by a window with it open as he stares out at the rain with a somber appearance, his arms and legs crossed as well.]
Not a bad resemblance, eh?
no subject
...why are you drawing pictures of me?
[Well, sometimes you just have to ask what you're thinking.]
no subject
I draw pictures of people I like, is that a problem?
no subject
That's not what I meant. I just didn't expect it.
no subject
You mean a great deal to me. Even if...I have a hard time expressing that correctly.
no subject
It's not like I'd really know what 'correct' or 'normal' is in that context. I don't exactly have a great frame of reference.
no subject
Yes well, this whole feelings and emotions business is new for me. It's not like I exactly know what to do, I keep trying to discover what it means to obtain true happiness.
no subject
I don't have answers for you.
no subject
You're wrong about that, you have given me answers. [He now grabs both of his shoulders and stands right in front of him, starting intently at his face.] You told me awhile ago that I should try accepting my emotions and doing so, they could give me strength. That's the sole reason I've decided to do it now and trying to discover what I locked away all those years ago, because of what you told me. [He lowers his eyes.] You've helped me to change and see that maybe I was wrong to push them away. I'm...truly grateful to you.
no subject
Really, I'm glad. I hope--no, I know you can do it.
[But way to sound enthusiastic, Trunks.
He doesn't.]no subject
...Thanks, but I'm not leaving you alone or letting you run away. Not after what happened last time and I thought I lost you for an entire month.
no subject
Angelo, I'm not going anywhere.
no subject
Good, because I have a gift for you.
[Out of his pocket he pulls a hair ribbon similar to his, but instead of black it's navy blue. He also gives him a small wink.]
I found this some time ago and have been holding onto it, I thought you might be able to use it to tie your hair back with.
no subject
[He takes it and after a moment of hesitation, reaches back to tie his hair (still not as long as Angelo's.) Perhaps surprisingly, it looks like he knows what to do with it. Granted, he wraps it a few more times around his hair than Angelo does, and doesn't tie it in a bow, but he's tied his hair back before.]
no subject
It looks great on you, I knew it would.
[He turns away from his companion for a moment to stare out at the ocean, that same half smile across his face.]
We never had oceans or beaches this beautiful back home you know... [He pauses then laughs softly.] Even the wind feels much better than my world. Maybe one day I'll be able to reach for the sky and touch those clouds as I've always dreamed I would.
