You Naughty Devil
Who: Guy and way too many women
Where: Various!
When: Every curse day but Tuesday.
Style: [Action], please.
Status: Semi-closed - message me if you'd like to join the chaos!
"You would never be called this unless it was a joke. The title itself is a mystery. Is it mysterious to defy mystery?"
[Why hello there, miss. First time with a curse? That's alright, the Amazing Guy is here to boost your morale! It might seem uncomfortable, but cheer up. It'll only last the week, and you're bound to get at least one new acquaintance out of the adventure! See, you've already met him~
Steady your patience, keep your hands to yourself and he's bound to have some genuinely interesting conversations with you. ...No, really, p-please, he knows you're probably very nice but he really can't bother for a handshake right now, even without the curse. Ah, n-no, hey, stay back...!
Ah well. The man has his manners, despite how awkward he might seem. But manners can't guard the overly-friendly who find nothing wrong with a hug. Or someone who'd like a drink delivered by hand in the Host Club And that cobblestone has been known to trip one or two people up from time to time. And he might not be watching where he's walking, head buried in a book or an armful of things he's found at the Nostalgia Nook.
...]
[[ooc: This is a catch-all for Guy and the various girls he is (regrettably) getting stuck to this week. Feel free to mention which day you'd prefer, and if you want me to set the scenario, just ask!]]

...But honestly, had they not just horribly embarrassed themselves a couple minutes ago, this would actually be pretty nice.]
Hah. Better? [He's okay with this, at least.]
If we follow the coastline from here, there's a pretty nice clearing off the beach that doesn't catch too much wind. It should work pretty well.
no subject
[He smiles, then realizes the mask is still in place. No need for that, so Sheik reaches up to pull it down most of the way. If he gets too chilly, he can always readjust it. Having an excuse to be close to Guy is rather nice, especially since Sheik is not as dressed for the cold as Zelda was.]
Lead the way. I have not remapped the island since the attack, so I am not entirely certain what is still here.
no subject
Guy guides their walk in the direction of the beach, popping his coat collar up again the breeze and being as careful as he can not to trip his companion up.]
What exactly happened with that "attack", anyways? I've heard stories from people, but no one I spoke to seemed to have all their details together. Plus I haven't been over to see the damage myself yet... [It seemed people were still excavating information from it until just a short while ago. Not to mention he's had other things to worry about.
Well. Until recently.]
no subject
[Sheik smiles a little sheepishly.]
That is what I have been able to put together, at least. I was quite surprised that she was a goddess. I suppose they really can take all forms...
no subject
[There's a gentle squeeze of that arm again the guardian's back with that comment, Guy's expression softening. Zelda's expectations of herself as a goddess or otherwise isn't something Guy's ever felt particularly brave enough to talk to her about. It's important to who she is and how she treats her responsibilities.
It just wasn't everything about her. Even if she couldn't see that. Guy'd keep seeing it for her.]
That's quite a story, though. If something was able to jump worlds like that, though... did anyone ever bring it up to the scientists, or to Carol?
no subject
[No one had ever asked. No one had needed the details just then. The little blond man had called to them all to pray, and so Zelda had prayed with all her might. When Amaterasu returned, she was just relieved. Some form of reverence had lingered, and it didn't seem right to question her.
Sheik stiffens.]
We didn't ask. No one ever asked...
no subject
[Wow. Color him surprised. Someone always seems to ask, or at least keeps the questions in the air. Could the scientists really have just gotten this by so easily?
Huh.]
I mean, if it was a sudden emergency, then I can understand why it didn't take a priority right away... but are you sure no one said anything about it? Anything at all?
no subject
[Was that all there was to it, though? Or...]
Maybe we were pacified as well.
no subject
[Yes, he's implying that pacification probably wasn't the full answer. Even if it had happened, it was apparently temporary enough to get the more suspicious away from the situation. They were here talking about it now, after all, and the scientists weren't exactly foolish people. They had to be expecting something like this at some point... right?]
no subject
[Either way, something out of the ordinary happened. It wasn't natural for people to not ask questions, least of all Zelda. Sheik shakes his head, then smiles at Guy.]
There is no use worrying about it at this moment, is there? We might be stuck together, but we can still enjoy a picnic.
I am cool with playing this picnic out or handwaving it, your choice!
But no, the change of subject is a pretty nice surprise, getting the blonde to grin.]
Hahah, a very good point. I'm all for that. And speaking of-- [He veers their little stroll off off the beach to a smaller clearing up in the grass.]
-- This should work pretty well. Pick a spot and we can throw out the blanket.
no subject
Sheik obliges, picking out a nice spot in the sun so they don't get too chilly. Though he's pleasant and engaging, there is a noticeable lack of that usual curiosity. He's willing to let things go easily and doesn't prattle on excessively about any topic in particular.]
no subject
Hey. If something's on your mind, you know you're allowed to talk it out. I won't bite.
no subject
[No need to make waves over theories. A strange though process for the princess to have, but not strange at all for the Sheikah. Was something bothering Guy, though? It looked like it.]
The same goes for you, of course.

His smile is thoughtful, brimming with a rueful chuckle.]
Hahah... Alright. Then yes, I have something I'd like to mention.
no subject
[He smiles genuinely and gives an encouraging nod, waiting quietly for Guy to say whatever is on his mind. The tender expression is oddly out of place on the Sheikah's face, or at least it feels that way to Zelda.]

You've lived with a lot of people, right, Zelda? A lot of different people. And you're pretty observant.
So could I ask your opinion on something?
no subject
I've observed a lot of people, and the castle was quite busy when I was younger, but I have only lived closely with a few. Still, I will help if I can.

When you're around people for a while, even if you aren't incredibly close, I'm sure you tend to pick up on things. You get used to seeing them a certain way, you know? It can take some time. But eventually you learn how they act and react on a daily basis - not that it's always identical, but you get the basic idea. It might be how they really are or simply how they pretend to be. Either way, they end up as "whoever they are" in your head for a reason.
So if a person you know... or knew, I guess... if they suddenly start to act differently. What do you think you would you do?
no subject
[He is indeed thicker than a brick wall. It seems natural to Sheik that "Sheik" should not act the same as Zelda. More informal, but also less intrusive. Of course, he doesn't interact with people on a casual basis in this body often (if at all), so the differences in behavior aren't noticed by many people.]
As for what I would do, I suppose I would leave them be. If they're still trying to act normally, they do not want to talk about it.
let's see if I can get a keyword combo
[This is where they hit a bump in the road, then. This isn't normal behavior for Zelda... or, at least, not that he's seen. Not outside the normal situations that would cause her to shift to Sheik - situations that called for a calmer mind. Other than being stuck together, there wasn't anything dangerous here. There wasn't any need for her to draw back.
Right?]
Leaving them alone is pretty courteous. But what about if the situation is prolonged? Do you think you would say something?
no subject
It would depend how close I was to that person. If we were friends, I would surely ask them what was wrong eventually.
no subject
Would you press the issue, if it had to come to that?
no subject
[He's feeling like this is more than hypothetical and doesn't want to make any sort of "decision" without knowing more details.]
