[ As she had planned, Kohaku had set up a line of tables somewhere in the plaza, with some of the food she'd already prepared for the event on the table and chairs on each side of it. Over in another area, there were a couple of games, so that people who wanted to could have some fun with that; the games included 'pin the tail on the turkey,' and she'd brought some jump ropes out.

It was a pretty last-minute, not too well planned event, but it turned out pretty great, right? All that mattered was that people enjoyed it. ]


( ooc: It's a potluck! Have your characters bring food, add to the games, and do anything else that they wanna do! Go crazy! As long as it's within the rules of the game, I'm probably going to be pretty chill with it. B) I know there was some talk of spiking the drinks ... )

[Having brought a few containers full of food that he cook which doesn't look half bad at all and a bottle of wine, Angelo puts his goods on the table. After all he did say he'd bring food along to this feast, he wasn't about to change his mind on that.]

[ NOPE. Nope, he's not playing any of these. No way, no how. Uh uh. Don't even try to make him. Really. Mithos refuses to take part in this! ]

[ ... Speaking of wine, Ramirez looks at it awkwardly. It... looks innocently enough, and it's not like Valuan wine was anything to write home about. Ramirez almost never drank alcohol, unless Galcian insisted at a party or something which he only attended because, again, Galcian insisted.

Well, it wouldn't hurt, would it? Ramirez pours a glass, and sniffs it. He then cautiously takes a sip, half-expecting to drop dead from cyanide poisoning. ]

[Rin had never cooked an entire turkey before, but when it came to cooking he was willing to try anything first.

And it didn't turn out bad at all, really. He showed up a little late, since it had taken him a while to get it all finished, but when he finally arrived it was with a huge covered cooking pot.

Yes, Rin really did get the biggest damn turkey he could find.]

[Coming up to Ramirez from behind of him, he sees him sipping the wine he brought and seems rather amused. Is he really acting as though it's some kind of poison?]

You don't need to act as if it's poison, it's perfectly fine.

[ Hey, she recognizes you. Though she's not making the connection that this is the guy she's talked to occasionally on the SFC. She's seeing him as the guy she talked to at the masquerade. ]

[ she points to the pin the tail on the turkey game. ]

[Food and friends and being thankful, huh? Link spots a familiar face - Angelo - setting his food up, and he heads over with his own container, giving him smile.]

Hi. What did you bring?

[Link is very sorry. He tried, he really did. But despite his best efforts...]

[Well, those are just sliiightly burnt pumpkin and pecan cookies he's almost sheepishly setting on the table.]

[They mostly taste fine if you scrape off the black bits!]

[Games! After having had something to eat (er, carefully avoiding the turkey), Link has found his way over, and is now staring at one in particular in some confusion.]

[So what's all this about a turkey's tail, and why do you have to pin it on again?]

[Angelo unties from around his waist four more wine (primarily red) bottles before setting down on the table with the other bottle he brought. Then slowly turns around when seeing Kohaku.]

Ah Kohaku, I brought some exotic recipes for the dinner.

[He opens the containers to show he brought some Baozi of the pumpkin variety. He also brought Pimientos Rellenos de Atun (Red Peppers stuffed with Tuna) and finally White Asparagus Salad with Shrimp.]

Hopefully this is enough for the dinner?

[Spying Link out of the corner of his eye, he nods at him.]

Ah hello...Link, was it? Not much, but I say they're rather exotic dishes.

I might bring some more if people want.

... they look burned... eh, the worst he ever got from eating questionably cooked food was a stomachache, though, so. Here goes something--! ]

Really? [Edible food get! They tasted fine to Link, but his tastebuds are... rather unpicky.] Great! I think I left them in the oven too long, though...

Yeah... most of the time Grampa's the one who made this, though. SO I'm hoping I did it right...

[Under normal circumstances he probably would have stayed home with a book, but refusing Ioder would have been like... well, not exactly kicking a puppy. More like giving it a stern look for wanting to be scratched behind the ears. Thus here he is.

Currently he's over by the game corner, attempting to fathom just what it is about pinning a "tail" on a representation of the centerpiece of the feast that is suppose to be enjoyable. Because really, blindfolds and push pins seem like a recipe for disaster to him.]
