I can. As can my friends. I find they're more common here than people realize, even if we don't share the same world...

[He keeps his focus on the animals as well, firing off pot shots at the ground to help with herding them. It's working well, so far.]

Really? I thought Walter and I were the only ones who knew how to use artes!

Looks I don't have a choice but to seek these people out!

Why would you want to seek them out? Is it that important, that some of us can use artes?

I think it's interesting that we're able to do something that I thought only my world could do. And besides, I never seen an arte like what you've done before so it would be a good way to learn from others!

I'm afraid I wouldn't have much to teach you. My arts are fairly specialized towards my weapon. You might have better luck with one of my friends.

That's okay, I usually use healing and magic artes anyway...is there a friend like that here?

I know I heard that name before, why does it sound so familiar.

Chances are if you know Sophie then you likely know Cheria, at least in passing.

Hm...I can't say that I know Sophie...

Oh, is Cheria the one where Sophie talks about over the SFC?

Yes, that's her. She's... a caretaker for Sophie, of sorts.

[shirleyhopeful]

...Of sorts? What do you mean?

[Oh, one of the sheep is running away! Quick, fire ball!]

Sophie isn't a child, at least in the way you or I might know children. She's not even human. It's her mentality and her lack of knowledge that makes her behave as she does, thus while she doesn't really need a caretaker perse, Cheria and Asbel still take it upon themselves to care for her and attempt to guide her as parents would.

[For a moment, Shirley isn't sure how to process that. So is she an adult with a child like mind?]

That sounds like the opposite of someone that I know.

[More like a humanoid who actually had free will, but not the knowledge to know what to do with it properly.]

I guess in a sense it does.

I know someone who was about fifteen but the way he acted and how he presented himself made it seem like he was much older. Although, he does act like his age from time to time!

[Sigh. This must be what Malik is always going on about, telling him to lighten up and stop taking things so seriously. He really doesn't act his age, does he?]

Hm. I suppose I can go check and see what the progress is. Would you mind seeing if you can get a few more to start moving this way?

[The problem was casting a bigger spell. With that, she started mumbling before casting shooting stars. She just hoped that it didn't hurt any of the other sheeps running around]
