Wandering the Plaza [Open]
Who: Washu and YOU~
Where: The Plaza
When: today [Nov.15th] All day
Style: [brackets] preferred, but willing to adjust.
Status: Open~
[It was one of those rare days where Washu felt like she needed a break from her lab. Usually, she would lounge around the house, perhaps do a few chores or break up a fight between her two favorite individuals. Well, if she were back home anyway. Here it was a different story. She had yet to really explore anywhere and felt it was about time!
To start, she headed for the plaza and all its little shops. Time to see what she could get her hands to use in the name of science! Or.. at least a decent cup of coffee and maybe some ice cream. Which ever came first.]

Mithos looks like a total mess. Just the kind of person Washu would want to bother, eh? ]
no subject
After she gets her own steaming mug of coffee guess who's wandering over to Mithos. Washu pulls up a seat and takes a sip.]
You look like you could use some company.
no subject
Umm... sure.
[ He's not used to people just... coming up to him. Even if he should be, after being here for this long. ]
no subject
Now what could make someone such a total mess? You look like someone that just went on an all night studying spree for a final exam.
no subject
But he doesn't. ]
Let's just say I didn't take the last event very well.
no subject
[Yet she doesn't seem to be suffering any ill effects. Washu had her own way of dealing with what she saw.]
no subject
It was a bit more personal to me. The coral... made me see my sister.
no subject
Then I think I'm safe in assuming that's a bad thing.
[She took another sip of her coffee and contemplated something for a moment before speaking.]
All night you were terrorized and then the morning light chased it away. Everyone has a fear that's deep rooted whether its rational or irrational. I've found though, that most of the fears were rather irrational when viewed in the light of day.
no subject
[ Forever ago, but he doesn't mention that. ]
She... well, the illusion of her... she was mad at me, for everything I did to bring her back.
no subject
[Washu observes him over the rim of her cup for several minutes.]
It sounds to me like you might be harboring some guilt.
no subject
[ Yeah. Kind of. But that guilt is mostly manifesting itself as a desire for revenge, these days. ]
no subject
And I could have protected my daughters better. What is in the past is the past. You should not let it run your life and instead learn from it so we don't repeat the mistake.
no subject
[ ... She must be like him, then. Immortal, but just looks young. ]
You... lost family too, then.
no subject
[She wouldn't say immortal, just impossible to kill.]
In a manner of speaking, yes. More than once.
no subject
I'm... sorry.
no subject
Thank you.
Though, I did get peace of mind about it eventually. It sounds like you need to come to terms with your issues as well.
no subject
[ It came out nanoseconds after her last sentence. ]
I love my sister. I don't want to live without her.
no subject
You can't reverse the past. I do understand where you're coming from. I've been there myself on a few occasions and the actions I took... came back to bite me in the future.
So trust me when I say, you need to let go.
no subject
I'll bring her back, and I'll make sure the world won't ever take her away from me again! Even if I have to kill every last human in the world to do it!
no subject
[The tone of her voice made it very apparent that she meant business.]
You're not the first one to loose a loved one and you won't be the last.
no subject
[ Mithos shot back, but sat down, as she asked. And not because she told him to; because he isn't in the mood for any sort of fight here, especially so soon after what happened with Kratos. ]
.. Martel saved their world, and they thanked her by killing her. Humans deserve whatever happens to them after that.
no subject
[She takes another sip of her drink as he takes a seat, expecting he would.]
Humans tend to fear what they cannot understand. The question you should be asking yourself is this; Would she want you to sink down to their level?
Or would she want you to carry on her memory in a way that would honor her?
no subject
[ He crosses his arms on top of the table, and leans his chest into them. Only three people here so far have agreed with him. And little does he know, Kratos isn't one of them. ]
no subject
[Does she agree? Yes and no. Washu's really neutral for the most part, but is willing to speak her mind when people are doing exceptionally dumb things.]
no subject
no subject
[Sighs.]

Because there is a certain (now faintly) sunburnt alchemist in the corner of a coffee shop, his attention focused on some sort of game on his SFC in one hand while he holds a mug in the other.
Clearly Centipede is addictive, because he's been here for nearly an hour.]
no subject
She can't of course~!
Washu is silent in her approach. Perhaps a little to silent. She'll just take a seat across from him, sip her coffee then finally break the silence.]
So this is what you look like with clothes on huh? I liked you better without.
no subject

[Washu had just wandered out off the coffee shop only to have something.. glowing catch her eye. The luminescence and apparent gender of this troll specimen definitely caught the petite scientists attention.
It seems the more of them she meets, the more curious she becomes.]
I wouldn't mind carrying a few things for you.
no subject
[She sets down a few of the bags. They aren't particularly heavy, though in aggregate it's quite a load for one person. The bags seem to be filled with various crafting materials, mostly fabrics and sewing notions.]
no subject
[Washu will take whatever bags are offered to her. Once she has them she can't help but notice how light they are and peeks in side.]
That's quite a bit of fabric? Do you mind if I ask what you're doing with it?
no subject
These are supplies for my store, so most of this will be used to create clothing. My name is Kanaya, by the way.
no subject
Are you a seamstress then? You must have quite the talent.
no subject
[ She sort of gestures with a hand full of bags at her outfit, a basic red day dress. Nothing too fancy, but still nicely structured and of course, impeccably tailored. ]
And what do you do?
no subject
Then I'll have to come see your shop sometime.
I'm a scientist back home.
no subject
Any particular field of study then, Miss Washu? I know some of the other scientifically oriented foreigners here have been pooling their research into what this place is and how it works. If you have an interest in physics or other related topics you should meet up with them.
no subject
When it comes to fields of study, I'm not limited to just one. I do tend to teach Astrophysics from time to time, but I also have experience with genetics, quantum mechanics and biology. You could say I know a little bit of everything.
I've already talked to a few like minded individuals and must say that they've been interesting so far.
