[It's been quite some time since Sera's departure, and since then, there have been others -- both Tribe and friends -- who have left Vatheon and not returned. Serph doesn't know if they'll return. Maybe they will. Maybe they won't. In the end, the decision isn't in his hands.

Before, there hadn't been time for these departures to affect him.

Which is why he's in the park, kicking a hacky sack. Signless had taught him the game when he'd noticed Serph watching him, so many months ago. In some ways, this is an imitation of that time; while Serph's content to play on his own, he's more than happy to play with people passing by.

[Ooh are we playing hacky sack tennis now? Because Serph's kicking it back. This time, though, it's a little further to Tiir's left, just outside of Tiir's immediate reach.]

[Why wouldn't he teach Tiir how not to drown--]

[Tiir's a little taken off-guard, but with his speed, manages to return it. And just for that, he'll be doing the same to Serph.]

Whenever you feel like it. I'm in no hurry.

[... Just because he can't swim...]

[Oh nooo his plan has backfired-- Well, not really; Serph had been expecting something along those lines. Serph catches the hacky sack easily with the side of his knee and bounces the ball just out of Tiir's reach again, but in the opposite direction this time.]

How about now?

[Tiir let Serph drown you--]

[Sneaky.

It takes a bit more effort this time, having to cover more distance, but again, Tiir manages to return the sack.]

You don't mind?

[Uh, he might have a problem with that—]

[Uho. Nice pass! This time, Serph's kicking the ball up high so it would fall behind Tiir.]

I don't.

[Stepping back! Hurray for enhanced speed, at least, since again he manages to make in time and kick the ball back, even if a tad awkwardly.]

Well, if you don't mind, then I don't either.

[Good answer, Tiir. This time, Serph catches the hacky sack in one hand on Tiir's return. The hacky sack's a bit bulky, but it fits in Serph's pockets with little trouble; they're designed for carrying various items necessary for survival.]

Let's go.

[And if Tiir has no further objections, Serph'll lead them both alllllllll the way to the lake in the forest; he isn't about to make Tiir swim in the sea. Yet. Maybe.]

... yeah um the sea would probably not be a good idea right now.]

[Right, so here is the lake! A thought occurs to Serph, and he turns to Tiir.]

It would be best if you took off your clothes.

[Serph just wants to see your body, Tiir--]

Tiir blinks, but sees nothing wrong with this, so. Removing his coat!

... ???]

[When Tiir doesn't make any move to further remove his clothing, Serph shakes his head and adds--]

The rest, too.

[Removing his shirt...?]

[TIIR WHAT PART OF "THE REST" DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND-- okay okay Serph finally explains.]

Your clothing is loose. It will weigh you down--

[he's not certain how strong Tiir is, though]

--and make your movements awkward.

[His gaze goes pointedly to Tiir's crotch pants.]
