Disciple's surprise attack.
Who: The Disciple, Nepeta Leijon
Where: Disciple's hive
When: Current works.
Style: Prose, Unless you wish action.
Status: Closed
Disciple eyed the large box sitting next to her on the ground, considering it's contents. She had finally done it, gotten something that she had talked about before, but until today had not pursued. Yet, here it was, and she was definitely going to need her daughter's help. Yet, Mama-cat could not just tell her, oh no, it had to be a surprise. So she would contact the little one and have her come over, probably text so that her face gives nothing away.
Disciple retrieves her SFC, dialing in a private message to Nepeta.
Nepeta, I have a bit of an emergency
I n33d you to come over if you can
The front door is unlocked
I should be in the sl33ping room
She sets down the SFC, and reaches for the box.

:33 < im on my way right now ill be there soon!
She's typing as she rushes over in fact, only her quick cat-like reflexes stopping her from tripping or falling over as she doesn't exactly watch where she's going. Her mamacat needed her!

I just...
I believe I require assistance with something important
Something that only you can can help me with
When Nepeta arrives at Disciple's hive she will find the front door unlocked like she mentioned. The hive is dark and quiet for the most part, but some quiet music can be heard coming from the back of the hive.
If she tries it, she will find that door unlocked as well.

"Mama!" It's a worried little squeak as she bursts through the door she thinks the other greenblood is behind, following both her nose and the music.
no subject
"Oh! Please help me! It was an ambush! I did not stand a chance!"
no subject
Until with a squeal she pounces all three of them, happy little mewling sounds coming from her as she rolls on her ancestor's lap and tries to nuzzle both kittens to herself at once.
no subject
She snuggles her daughter close, carefully helping Nepeta nuzzle the tiny, baby furbeasts.
"Surprise."
no subject
Disciple has probably rarely seen her little one so happy, her face alight with contentment and almost awe at getting to hold two adorable little furballs who she's going to get to help look after and bring up and play with.
"Oh, oh, they're so soft and small and fluffy and cute!" She laughs and squirms as the kittens try climbing all over her, and she catches each one in turn to rub her face against their fur.
no subject
She giggles, pleased at her daughter's reaction. That was what made it all worth it, her smile.
"Yes, They are soft, fluffy, and nameless as well, I was hoping you could help decide what the little bundles would be called."
no subject
Nepeta is acting every bit as playful as the two tiny kittens in her arms - trolls may not have a mothering instinct but she sure as hell has a look after and fuss over small cute things instinct! She wraps them in the folds of her trenchcoat with a giggle, watching them snuggle down into the warmth of it with small squeaking mewls.
"The white one is Pounce!" she decides immediately and unsurprisingly. "And the other one is...hmm..."
no subject
Happy it was, too, watching her daughter fuss over the kittens. It was Disciple making use of her own fuss over small cute things instinct, though hers currently included the three other things things in the room, not just the two smallest.
"Pounce, eh?" She laughs. "Somehow I should have guessed. I think it is perfect. Now we just need a name for her male sibling."
no subject
And it's also a good thing Nepeta hasn't caught on to any jealousy happening. Usually she's good at picking up on people's emotions, but while she's found it strange that Signless hasn't moved back in with Di yet, she simply can't imagine the two of them not being happily flushed all over each other.
Interventions will happen if she ever does notice that something is off!
But in the meantime kittens have well and truly taken over her brain, so much so that she seems at a deadend as for a name for the other one. "Uhmmmm...Leap! Or Mister Fluff! Or Leon!"
Sorry about that. Hit a tag deadzone while family was in town.
They were still happily flushed, but now Signless was stepping out and exploring other quadrants, whereas Di was having troubles following suite. It had been so long since she had to worry about them, having Signless, that everything was so... difficult. So instead, KITTENS!
"Oh, I rather like Leap; Pounce and Leap. How about that, daughter? I think it fits them well."
it's okay! ♥

"...and Leap." Likewise the black one.
Disciple draws her daughter closer as she snuggles closer. Oh my, this certainly was a feeling of contentment. The sort of feeling only obtained by sharing with someone she was so close to. The storytimes, the Lighthouse, this moment... All wonderful memories that would not be possible had this place not brought her here.
"I am glad you are happy, Kit." She remarks, almost dreamily. Seeing her daughter so overjoyed for the small bundles of fluff made her forget all that troubled her about this place. There was just her daughter, the kittens, and this moment.
no subject
"We're going to teach them to be the best kittens ever, aren't we?"
no subject
She smiles and boops her daughter's nose. "Except for you, of course, Kit."
no subject
"Kit?" It was the second time Disciple has called her that, at least. "Am I Kit now like Signless is Nubby?"
no subject
"Yes, though you should not go spreading around that you know my pet name for him. It is a name for when we are not in public. I would call you kitten, as would seem a perfect choice to call you, but we do not want to confuse poor Signless, now do we?"
Disciple settles back, enjoying being able to snuggle with her daughter.
"I think 'Kit' is a good substitute, since you are my kitten. So that makes you the kitten to Signless' kitten."
Mamacat smiles playfully and ruffles her Nepeta's hat and the hair underneath.
no subject
She giggles, and then, in a gesture of great trust and affection, she takes off her kitty hood to offer up her bare head for pettings. "Signless' kitten's kitten. I like that! What do you, Pounce and Leap?"
They seem to think that Nepeta's hood is very fluffy and fun to roll on as she tucks it in with them in her coat.

Disciple makes use of the proffered hair, well aware of the honor she was afforded. Nepeta always had that hat on. As a reward, pets and scritches from her mamacat. Attentions that swiftly reminded Disciple of one motherly duty she has not attended to recently; Grooming. The elder greenblood fixes this most grievous mistake immediately.
As was habit while attending her daughter's cleanliness, Disciple purred deep in her throat; It was only proper.
