I guess things got a little crazy for a while there. I even missed my own birthday last month. It looks like everything's back to normal now, though.

[Or close enough.]

So...

It's not too late to throw a birthday party, is it? I mean, you only turn eighteen once. I'm going to have it at my place this evening, if anyone wants to come.

[Yes, his place. He'll be moving back out of the Ordo house where he'd been staying with his friends. He's feeling ready now, and there's no need to make a mess of their house when he's got a place of his own.]

I'm at the Yutopil Apartments, in room six.

[With that he turns his starfish off. He's got a party to get ready for. Hmm. After a moment, he turns it back on and dials for Link's and Angelo's SFCs.]

Hey, Link, did you still want to help? And Angelo? You don't have to, if you don't want to. Just thought I'd ask.

[One way or another, though, come this evening, the apartment will be decorated and there will be food and drinks. Nonalcoholic drinks, Angelo.]

[That news startles Lloyd right out of his embarrassment.]

Happy birthday! Did you say something about it on your starfish? I must have missed it if you did.

Thanks. And yeah, I did -- but don't worry about it. It was just a text.

[Texts are probably easier to miss than video broadcasts . . . well, she thinks.]

I was only asking how other people celebrate their own birthdays.

[Definitely easier for Lloyd to miss, since he vastly prefers audio and video over reading and trying to type responses back to people.]

Oh. Well, in that case, it's usually just a cake and a few presents for me, and maybe spending extra time with my friends.

[Better a late response than never, right?]

[Yukari doesn't seem to mind the late response. She simply nods, since yeah, that seems pretty par for the course to her.]

Same. I usually have a party, too, but . . . I didn't really feel like planning one out.

[He definitely hadn't been feeling like having a party when his "birthday" had rolled around. At first it had just been the curse making the timing feel awkward, but then everything else that had happened...]

If you want, we can kind of think of my party as being for you, too.

[She chuckles at that. It's "his" party, like he said, so she really has no place to butt in. Had she been in his position, she definitely wouldn't want it.]

She doesn't think to offer to come early and help, but hopefully Lloyd has that taken care of.]
