I guess things got a little crazy for a while there. I even missed my own birthday last month. It looks like everything's back to normal now, though.

[Or close enough.]

So...

It's not too late to throw a birthday party, is it? I mean, you only turn eighteen once. I'm going to have it at my place this evening, if anyone wants to come.

[Yes, his place. He'll be moving back out of the Ordo house where he'd been staying with his friends. He's feeling ready now, and there's no need to make a mess of their house when he's got a place of his own.]

I'm at the Yutopil Apartments, in room six.

[With that he turns his starfish off. He's got a party to get ready for. Hmm. After a moment, he turns it back on and dials for Link's and Angelo's SFCs.]

Hey, Link, did you still want to help? And Angelo? You don't have to, if you don't want to. Just thought I'd ask.

[One way or another, though, come this evening, the apartment will be decorated and there will be food and drinks. Nonalcoholic drinks, Angelo.]

[It's a few minutes later before Lloyd responds again, his voice hesitant and uncertain.]

Hey, um... When you make those cakes, can you, you know, not write anything on them? Or at least not happy birthday?

Huh? Sure, that's okay. Why not?

[Suddenly very awkward.]

I just found out when my real birthday is. It's not in September. It's in April. So I... I'm not eighteen yet.

[Voice]

Oh - right! [Link gives him an understanding smile - he had to guess at his own birthday too, and he's not quite sure what he'd do if he suddenly found out his real one.]

D'you still want people to come over? It might be fun even if it's not a birthday party.

[Lloyd smiles, glad and a little relieved that Link understands.]

If you still want to. I know I don't have much of a reason for it now, but you're right, it would still be fun.

Well - [After all the badness of the killer, it might be a good idea to relax, but Link is at least smart enough not to say that to one of his victims.] I don't think we need a reason! You can still have a party, just because it's fun.
