[GV] - 4 - Whatever happened to my Transylvania twist?

If anyone recalls the booth setup at the shindig on the first the interior of the club matches that theme but to a grander scale. Jack-o-lanterns grace each table, all hand carved with creepy or silly faces. Fake spider webs and mummy bandages drape from light fixture to light fixture and rubber bats and ghosts dangle from various places on the ceiling and walls. It's all in spooky fun!

Per usual the rules are posted on a clear sign at the door and below it lies the employee roster. There's the addition of a new member of the staff this month! Not to mention a new notice at the bottom.

This month the hosts all are dressed up in costumes of their own choices! Some may be creepy, some funny, and some just might not even try that hard. It doesn't seem like Zelos is policing the outfits all that closely this time around.

So ... how long have you been working here?

[ Asbel's been here for a couple of months now, and she really didn't know how old the business was as a whole. ]

[beauchevalier]

A few months now, though I don't just work here.

[dreamchasing]

Oh? Do you have multiple jobs?

[ that's pretty commendable! ]

[beauchevalier]

[He might start acting a tiny bit egotistical and excited.]

I do work with the Defense Force and have a few hobbies on the side, I'm quite good at multitasking while keeping me busy. I'm always looking for something new and exciting to keep adding spice to my life here.

[dreamchasing]

Oh, you're on the defense force! Asbel's brother is on the Defense Force. His name is Hubert.

[ she smiles brightly at Angelo as she listens to him, though. ]

I think it's great that you're doing so much during your time here, though. And you're helping people, too!

[beauchevalier]

[Despite enjoying this conversation, he's much rather interesting in Cheria.]

I'd very much like to hear more about you than talk about myself, if you don't mind.

[dreamchasing]

Me?

[ she blinks a few times, then waves a hand in front of her. ]

O-Oh, I'm really not all that interesting ...

[beauchevalier]

[He leans in close to Cheria, grinning at her before whispering into her ear.]

I'm sure you are, I want to know all about you.

[dreamchasing]

[ .... this was getting a biiiit close. Cheria backs away just a little as he leans in, quite unsure of what to make of the sudden closeness. she barely knew Angelo, after all, and that there was just a biiiit uncomfortable. ]

A-Ah, well ... what ... exactly do you want to know?

[beauchevalier]

[He can see she's uncomfortable and not only backs away, but takes her hand into one of his as if to be comforting.]

I've made you uncomfortable, haven't I? I apologize, that was never my intent. As for what I want to know... Tell about your interests and home life.

[dreamchasing]

[ She relaxes a little as he moves away. The hand holding is a little unexpected, but she can deal with that better than him being right in her face, so she'll allow it. Instead of focusing on how much discomfort she'd felt in the past few moments, though, she instead focused on his questions. ]

I-It's all right ... I'm just not used to someone being so close. As for what you've asked ...

[ Cheria takes a moment to think. ]

Well ... I currently live with friends from my own world. We all share a house together. Asbel, Sophie, Captain Malik ...

[ she looks a little sad at the next one. ]

Hubert used to live with us, but he moved out a while back ...

Hubert? I do believe I know him at least in name, he works in the same quadrant as I do on the Defense Force.

[dreamchasing]

Oh! Well, then, I guess we have more people in common than we first thought, don't we?

[beauchevalier]

I suppose, even if I don't personally know Asbel or Hubert.

[dreamchasing]

I'm sure you'll get to know them in time! Asbel in particular is very friendly. Hubert ... not so much, but he's a real softie once you get to know him.

[beauchevalier]

If either are as friendly as you, I'm sure we'll get along fine.

[dreamchasing]

Aha ... well, the two of them are definitely different from me, that's for sure.

[ though as far as friendliness is concerned, Asbel is a friendwhore. ]

I admit I'll enjoy your company more than theirs.

[He might be leaning in close again.]

[dreamchasing]

[ Oh, he's leaning in again ... sheeee'll try not to lean away quite as much. ]

U-Um, well ... I'm glad you do.

[ Sheepish, uncomfortable laugh. ]

[He might be taking her hand to kiss it like a proper gentlemen.]

I feel a part of my heart that is completed when you're near me, if I may continue being honest.

[dreamchasing]

[ Uncomfortable, and now very confused. ]

But ... Angelo, we've only just met.

[beauchevalier]

Haven't you heard of love at first sight, my dear Cheria?

[dreamchasing]

I've ... heard of it.

[ Oh, no. Nonono. This is not happening. ]

[He's having too much fun teasing her.]
