It's the perfect denial so hide behind an empty face
Who: Silver and Jacob
Where: Jacob's forest cabin.
When: Sometime after this.
Style: Action?
Status: Closed
[Silver snorted as he kicked a tree root, letting his feet take him where they will. He didn't care right now; he needed to think, to be alone and the forest was perfect for that. Of course, one could also call it sulking.
Amane was gone. He'd known that it would come eventually, but he'd hoped that she wouldn't leave, no matter what. A selfish hope of course. He didn't blame her though. How could he when it wasn't her fault. She couldn't have controlled it any more than he could have. Than anyone could.
It didn't stop the bitterness and resentment though. Figures the place wouldn't allow him to form any lasting, close relationships or friendships that meant something to him. Not that it mattered - he'd be fine. He'd been fine for years on his own without allowing anyone in. To allow such things here....
He kicked another root as Jacob's cabin came into view, then paused. Why had he come here?
... He shoved his hands in his pockets and huffed before heding up to bang on the door. Well, if he was here, he might as well talk to him. The man was one of the few he trusted that was still here. For a given value of trust that Silver was willing to extend.] Oi. Jacob.
[... It wasn't like he was seeking advice or company. Really.]

Hello, Silver. This is new...this is the first time you've visited, haven't you?
[His chocobo pokes her black head through whatever space of the door frame Jacob hasn't filled, blinking curiously over at the new visitor.]
Won't you come inside?

.. Sure. [He'll just slip off his shoes and socks then.] ..Thanks.

Not a problem...you came here to talk about something, didn't you?

He wonders if the man knows that Amane is gone, just like he seemed to know about his father.] Maybe.
[His arms cross, still trying to pull off the tough guy act.] Amane's gone. Hmph, It's like everyone I get close to ends up leaving. Like I thought. Friendship is useless. Figures.
[Says the one with a crobat of all things, but he's not happy that she's left and it shows more in how defensive he is than anything.]
