[What an interesting day for gardening.
Guy had sent off a short message to Zelda earlier in the morning, a bit vague but still sent out of courtesy: "Something came up with the meter. Running a little behind, but I'll be there soon."
Never mind that the problems with the meter were all because of his own clumsy fingers or the fog that settled over his mind whenever he attempted to repair the damage. This was supposed to come second-nature to him--!
...Right?
Breaking a dish or two yesterday? Dropping things? That was something else entirely - a clumsiness that was frustrating, but easily worked around. It could be a curse, or it could just be something else. He wasn't really sure. The changes in wardrobe, uncomfortable as they were, had also raised a surprisingly small amount of doubt. Wasn't he just always like this?
Right.
If he had been doubting it was a curse before, he certainly wasn't today. He was never this out of it when it came to fontech, and he never openly made such ridiculous mistakes with delicate equipment. At least... he's pretty sure he hasn't. He built this, didn't he? Right. Right? Or he was at least entrusted with it...
The more he thought, the more confusing it got, so he'd finally given up and written a reminder to himself to fetch the energy readings for the week from someone else if he couldn't figure this out. Said reminder looked like chicken scratch (dammit NO it shouldn't be this hard to write... or... uh, hmm), but it was legible enough.
It had taken more time than he wanted. But he does keep to his word, and he's soon strolling into the Ordo neighborhood, keeping an eye out over the third apartment. Is she out and about yet?]

Guy, hello!
no subject
[And well, aren't you looking lovely? He cautiously keeps to the walkway, avoiding the mud and rivulets of water under his feet as best as he could for the time being. No need to make a mess.]
Did you get my message?
no subject
I did. What happened to the meter? Was it unable to get a reading?
[The idea that Guy might have fumbled it himself never crosses her mind. That just doesn't happen.]
no subject
...In a manner of speaking? I can get a secondary reading from someone else for the time being, I'm sure, but--
[But he is more than willing to kick himself if he did ANYTHING to ruin that machine with his clumsy fingers, and his pride as already taken enough of a beating this morning. Urgh.
He shakes his head, his expression a little more chipper.]
Anyways. Did you want me to go get the window box from upstairs?
no subject
[She heads back over to the porch, picking up one of the two window boxes and gesturing to the other with her head.]
There is no need, I already brought it downstairs. I was thinking about putting these in the side yard since there's a lot more space there now. What do you think? We can till up a flower bed once we choose a spot.
[Zelda, dear, there's more space in the side yard since you attached Ordo 2 to Ordo 3.]

[How in the world they were able to combine the two houses is a mystery to Guy. But mention of the priestess piques his curiosity, even as he delicately circles around to fetch the other box.]
Huh. I don't think I was here for that. Did she make some sort of promise about the coral...? Or explain why it's been acting up like this?
no subject
[Zelda had honestly suspected as much, but she refrained from any immature "I told you so" outbursts.]
She said that the scientists had been tampering with the coral and that she would have it in order shortly. After that, the coral's power rose. Once it reached full power again, it hasn't dropped since.
